This place has gone down hill. My family and I came here about a year ago and ordered the rose sparkling lemonade and some hong kong style pudding dessert and it was good. We went there again recently and ordered the drink: Salty golden pineapple with jasmine green tea, it was horrible, bad combination. The drink was soo bad it was full and we had to throw it away. We asked if they could make us a different drink and they refused. The red bean smoothie is not great and missing flavor and not enough red bean. The honey bitter croffle was good, but for $10 and the portion size it was not worth the price. The only good drink we had there was the rose sparkling lemonade. I have never seen poor service like this. We will not be going to this place again. read more

I've been here a few times and I really love the milk tea. my boyfriend loves the Oreo Shake with boba. The staff there are really nice and it's usually not busy. You can adjust sweetness and ice levels. The strawberry milk is good as well, but it is on the sweeter side. read more

Super cute! Was getting Sichuan food next door and noticed this place had just opened. Can't believe it doesn't have reviews, it's actually a really cute place. The employees are really nice/helpful. Got a grapefruit lemonade which was delicious and had a cute pop top that you put a straw into. The salty lemonade was also really tasty, had a salt preserved lemon that they said was salted for a year. The decor is really pretty, there seems like some unfinished spots but I think it's because they just opened up. Overall wish I lived closer, would come more often. read more

I come here often to grab something to drink and I have yet to be disappointed in a drink. The only issue i have would be that their boba isn't the best. Past couple times i've added boba, it always tasted a bit bitter and didnt have any flavor which is why i'm giving it a 4 star. The boba tasted like it was old. The milk tea didn't really have a strong taste. It was expensive for what it is.

I went in yesterday around 2-3 pm and the worker who was on shift was not living up to the customer service Duplex Boba strives for. We ordered a brown sugar boba and we were under the impression that it would be similar to the others we have had in the past at other places. Not the case. As you can see it is a majority whole milk instead of black milk tea. When I told the worker who was on shift that we disliked it and would like a remake he tried to charge us for another drink. Now I understand how aggravating it is to make someone's drink but it shouldn't take no more than 5 minutes of your time out of your 4-6 hour shift. The drink itself cost 8-9 dollars so why should I as a customer be required to pay another 8-9 dollars to have a drink remade. The ambiance itself was okay. The floors were dirty and there was trash on the booth tables. I will not be returning and nor should you. I mean you have to drive to go to this place and we spent gas to get a cup of milk. read more

Amazing boba, first of all. The place offers Hong Kong-style boba, and they have plenty of different options. The staff is very friendly, and the place is very clean. One half of the space is white and brightly lit. The other half is dark, with a wallpaper of an urban Asian city, and at the far end is a bright neon sign. The music is fun, and it makes for a great place to hang out with friends. I recommend the Unicorn drink or the taro milk tea, personally. But everything is really good! read more

Happened to get some food next door to this place (Kung Fu Ramen) and read Bubble Tea from a distance so I thought let's check it out, as I am a groupie for bubble tea. Their menu is simple but the options all look amazing, it was hard to decide, and that's always a good thing, better to have options. I decided on the Hong Kong Milk Tea and omg, it was delicious. Most places will use powders or already have it made so it's a simple pour, not a bad thing, but watching them make it right there in front of me was intriguing. The taste focuses more on the tea part than the sweetness, so something to think about when you visit and think about the HK milk tea. This is a must try and for me, a must return. read more

The drinks are amazing, one of my favorites. The cashiers are horrible at customer services and racist against my Latina friend. Micro aggressions towards people with disabilities. Condescending even when they took the order incorrectly. My friend ordered boba in the drink, they forgot and claim that my friend didn't order by using the language she couldn't understand. read more

This place is perfect for student to study in! It's not too noisy and since it is new, it's not packed and busy :) it's my favorite spot to get away and focus and the people here are so nice! Their drinks are so good too, if you ask them what they recommend they can help you out and it's fun trying new things. The menu was a little overwhelming the first time I ever walked in a couple of months ago, but the woman that took our order was very helpful with recommendations and explaining all of the menu items. Came in to try a new boba spot and Duplex was amazing! We were greeted immediately and a nice worker showed us the menu and asked what we were looking for! He offered us samples of the Hong Kong Milk Tea and it was absolutely delicious. The people I was with got the milk tea that was sampled and I got the Taro Milk Tea.... which was the best taro milk tea I have ever gotten! They also have cute handmade accessories for sale and we bought two headbands! The store was very clean and aesthetically pleasing, I will definitely recommend this place to people! A solid 4 stars. Duplex Tea has a large selection of drinks, especially fruit teas, and small snacks. The servings of boba in each drink were small and the texture was too hard, possibly overcooked. Preferably, it could be chewier and have a subtler flavor, as it stands out more than the actual drink. The Brown Sugar Fresh Milk was decent, with a strong milk flavor. Most of the "brown sugar" flavor was provided by the boba, leaving most of the drink just milk. The Oreo Boba Shake was very creamy and thick with the perfect Oreo flavor. The foam on top was mostly tasteless. The Hong Kong Style Milk Tea tasted similar to Thai Tea, with a slight bitterness, balancing out the sweetness. I ordered the drink with the full sweetness, and it was perfect! No need for modifications. The Peanut Butter Croffle (a croffle is a cross between a croissant and a waffle) was a crispy waffle topped with peanut butter. The Croffle was nothing special, as we were expecting more flavor from the peanut butter and a more interesting texture than just a regular waffle. The cashier was wonderful, taking time to explain our drinks and dishes. He gave us a sample of the HK milk tea, as we'd never tried it before. The decorations were unique, with the right side of the cafe a little sparsely decorated. Overall, decent drinks and food, and wonderful atmosphere and staff. read more

This place is so good! I got the passionate fruit drink. Not sure what it was called, but very good! They use fresh fruit and do not use powder. The flavor is real and I'm assuming healthier. The prices are very fair! The staff is incredibly kind. They really strive to give you a good experience. The person taking our order helped with recommendations. Another staff member made sure the drink was perfected to our liking. They're still new and working on getting a menu, but once they're more established I'm sure this place will take off. read more
