Magical place on Peter's Pond. Spacious wooded sites. Peter's Pond is a crystal clear spring fed pond.

Would be more 3.5 stars for me. Beach parking was less than others in cape cod($14 vs others…read more20-30/day). Would download the parking app ahead of time. The app prompts you not to pay until you get there as you may not have a spot even if you already pre-paid. Pros: bathroom facilities and outdoor showers Snack bar if needed Parking cheaper compared to other beaches on the Cape For us this beach was much closer to where we were staying. Cons: Water was freezing(mid 60s). This may be also viewed as a pro as it felt really cooling after being in it but does take time to get used to. The kids in the group had a hard time venturing any further than knee height. Walk to and from parking lot/ bathroom was a little long. The sand can be a little pebbly.

I live in MA and drove 1 hour to Scusset Beach during the 2nd week of July, 2026. The weather was…read moreperfect - perfect for a beach day : hot, sunny, clear blue sky. The beach itself was nice enough: decent sand, not rocky, not an over abundance of seaweed. That's where the enjoyment ended. That beach had a constant barrage of biting flies that annoy the crap out of you. They are small, relentless, painfully bite, and leave itchy marks where they bite. We stayed for 3 hours to try to get our $14 (parking fee) worth but after that, we left. I'll never go back since I now know those biting flies are an issue there and have been for years. Two thumbs down and I cannot recommend Scusset Beach to any beach goer who wishes to have a lovely day at the beach. Side note : the water was so cold also, with zero waves and contained floating seaweed. Terrible.

Not a bad place to spend a week. We rented a cabin, which was lovely, however a bit dated and not…read moresuper clean. I was surprised to see cobwebs in the bathroom, dirty vents, etc. it needed a deep cleaning! However, the water pressure was great and the water got plenty hot. The pond is lovely and the beach was perfect for a day with friends. However, long walk uphill to the restroom. The bathroom/showers by the pool were pretty decent but the musty smell was nearly unbearable. I blame it on people not turning the vent on while they shower. It was so gross to use those toilets because of the smell. Additionally, I was unhappy to see so many children driving golf carts, despite the rule that is in place. It's not safe! Two times we were in almost accidents. First time the young girl was driving the golf cart on the wrong side of the road and was driving right at us. The scarier part was that she didn't even understand why we were waving our arms at her. There was lots of other vehicles and golf carts as it was a Friday night, could have been a bad situation. I did report this to the security. The second time, a young girl just about rear ended us she came up so fast. They need to police this before there is a serious accident!

Do Not Book This Place!…read more I travel around the country in my RV and have stayed at many campgrounds, but unfortunately, this was one of the most unwelcoming places I've ever experienced. To start, the woman working the morning shift was extremely rude, particularly toward non-seasonal campers. She told my daughter that she "needs to learn patience." She may be right, but in this situation, my daughter was simply trying to get in to see me and apparently that may have required this employee to actually do her job. I do want to mention that the woman who checked us in was extremely nice and professional, and I appreciated her kindness. Unfortunately, once I was checked in, I could immediately feel a different vibe. It honestly felt like this campground was primarily welcoming to its seasonal campers and that short-term visitors were an inconvenience. Unfortunately, I had an emergency at home because my house is currently under construction, so I had to cut my four-day trip short after only one day. The following day, I called to ask whether they would consider a partial refund or possibly a credit for the slower season. I completely understood if the answer was no, and I was simply asking. The woman told me she needed to speak with the manager. Apparently, she did not properly place me on hold, because I could hear the entire conversation. The way they spoke about me and the situation was extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. After traveling and camping all over the country, I can honestly say this was one of the least welcoming camping experiences I've had. It felt more like a trailer park than a campground, and there was a very noticeable "clicky" atmosphere. I would hate for anyone to waste their valuable vacation time or money on a place where they don't feel welcome. For me, Kampgrounds of America (KOA) and Spacious Skies Campgrounds have been much more reliable choices when it comes to feeling welcomed as a traveling camper. Bill Davidson

I have only visited friends here.. never actually stayed. A good friend of mine has camper here…read more I visit at least a couple times every summer. This campground is huge! It is always clean and offers a lot. They have 3 good size pools, tennis and basketball courts, a laundry area, a jewelry store, an arcade, and ice cream shop and a bathroom with quarter showers. The bathroom/shower area is always impeccably clean!! They also allow pets and have designated areas to walk them. On the weekends they do fun events like a DJ in the pavilion or lobster bakes. They do offer sewerage, water and electricity hookups. They have sites where you can either tent or bring a camper/RV. They are open from May - October. The rates to visit someone in the site during off season is $8 per person and $10 per person during peak season. If you leave before 9PM you get 1/2 of your $ back. Some of the sites you can see the ocean in the distance.
