Poor customer service at Pittsford, NY store. I had a confirmed appointment, but was told "you are not in the computer". I showed them the confirmation and all they could say is we can rebook you for next week. Didn't even look at the schedule for the next day or so. Coincidentally, this was for a seasonal tire change and after I booked the appointment I received 50% off seasonal change coupon good for only 3 days which ended today. Wondering if I got bumped for a higher margin job, just saying. This is not the first bad experience I've had at this location. Brighton location on 9/1`2/25 I had scheduled an oil change thinking it was overdue. They were honest and reported that the oil change was only about 400 miles previously (it had been stored since then) and I did not need a change. Another horrendous experience with these chain service centers. Booked an appointment online for a tire balancing and alignment. Appointment was confirmed. Arrived at my designated time only to be told that my appointment was cancelled because they didn't have enough room. No one ever contacted me. Manager went back to service area and came back, saying he had absolutely no spaces in the garage available. He literally left it at, "we'll have to look at our computer reservation system, sorry." Important to note that it wasn't just my time that was wasted. My wife followed me in a second car from Pittsford. ON my way out,just out of curiosity, I walked into the garage to see, and they had loads of space. Snapped a few pics of just how slammed they were. Notice all of the space. Unreal. Caution to modified car owners. My BF came here to get his tire mounted due to a flat he had. Knowing the car is lowered, you would think they would be careful, but they were not. They were unable to service the car with the current equipment they had but still attempted to put it on a their lift. They had two people lifting on the fender to get the jack under it. After that they parked it on the curb damaging the underside of the front bumper. He told them about the damage, but they didn't seem to be bothered by it. Not sure who parked it, but they should be cautious next time they park a lowered car or any car in general. Heard good things about this place that's why he went here, doubt he will be coming back because of the experience he had while here, which is unfortunate. read more

This happened at the 3300 West Henrietta Rd location about a decade ago. I had a flat, so I put on my spare. I came in to get 4 new tires. I had three worn tires and the spare. The 4th tire was shredded to uselessness. Obviously I wanted to SAVE the spare, which was a spanking-new snow tire. So...to make sure they didn't accidentally throw it away, I marked a white "X" with a grease pencil on the tire to save. I told the employee about saving the tire, and made sure that he wrote down, on his clipboard, to "Save tire with X". I saw him write the "X". When I returned an hour later, my tire mount was empty. Where was the spare? They had thrown it out. In addition, they had left the shredded tire unattended-to in the back of the jeep. I was livid. I confronted the employee. His response? "I didn't do it. It was the garage staff". Yes, but I had told HIM about saving the X-marked tire. Which HE was supposed to relate to the garage staff. Which he didn't. Now this was a BRAND NEW tire. What was its fate to be? The recycle pile? Personal use? Eventually, the situation resolved. They retrieved my tire and put it in the tire mount. But that experience ended my relationship with Dunn Tire. read more

I had a flat tyre, which was on the tread and I knew it can be fixed but they told me it cannot be fixed and recommended both tyres to be changed for $357. I got the same tyre fixed for $25 with no problem. Will never recommend anyone to go over there. read more

I was very pleased with Dunn Tire replacing four of my tires. The service was friendly and honest. They also worked quickly and replaced the full set in about a half hour after confirming that replacements were needed. They also offer complimentary tire rotations every 5,000 miles. Came in for a tire repair, I already told them where the air leak was coming from, mind you I Thoroughly inspected the sure to make sure there was no air leaks throughout the tire mad a appointment to this specific location to get my flat tire fixed, and once I gave it over to their care, they immediately come back saying there was a puncture in the tire by a nail and was deemed unfixable and wanted me to replace the tire with one of there's but there was no puncture in the tire when I gave it to them and definitely no nail, they could provide as proof read more

Complete incompetence and lack of communication, damaged my key fob with a giant crack and chip in it. Failed my car because of wiper blades aka $$$ even thought I just spent over $700 on new tires there and when they couldn't get a hold of me (even though I updated my phone number on the sheet ) sent me home with my inspection sticker ripped off. I returned in my lunch after getting new wiper blades yet still was told that I had to wait at least a half hour to get my sticker to "run" through the machine. I guess the one plus is with my time being wasted I am able to stand in the waiting area and warn everyone about how awful this place is. read more

They came out to tell me car was all done (switching snow tires to regular), but it had a broken stud and was cross-threaded. They then said no problem, we can replace it, around $70. I called the collision shop that last repaired my car and would have placed tires. I told them Dunn was blaming them. Owner said bring it in the morning let me look. Service tech at Dunn was reluctant to give me key fob, said he wasn't sure it was safe to drive. It is absolutely safe with 4 instead of 5 temporarily. I stated my car, my choice. I took it to the collision shop the next day, he fixed for free and told me that they could not have removed or replaced my tires if it was cross-threaded, the tire shop had to do it. when I shared my concerns and stated I felt I was being taken advantage of as a woman, they became very angry. How do they have the nerve to try to withhold my key fob, tell me it is not safe to drive, and charge me additional dollars to repair what they likely broke? Do not trust Dunn tire. read more

I went there couple years ago with my subaru wrx, to have all seasons tires put on. They were about half hour late to start. Took a lot longer than the estimated time. Supposedly they did an alignment, but I never saw the car moved. When finally the guy at the desk got off his phone, told me that the technician left and no one knows how to drive a manual transmission, so I had to get the car out of the bay. Tires had grease all over them. Also the rims. Bad customer service. read more

Arrived there within an hour and he said they were 3 hours behind schedule and couldn't do the work today. How could the story change that much in less than 1-hour. After having a bad experience with Mavis Tires yesterday, I went to Dunn Tire.I was greeted quickly by a young man named Peter.I told him I was looking for 4 tires and a full alignment for a 2011 Ford Focus.I told him I was interested in a Firestone brand tire.He immediately looked it up for me and gave me the price.I asked if he had something comparable to compare to.We found a General brand with a higher rating.With the alignment and total tire installation package it was a little higher price than my Mavis quote but with a $50.00 rebate the deal was less $$$ overall.I made the appointment for Saturday morning.Everything went perfectly.All the counter people we're friendly and professional.With Dunn Tire's warranty and roadside service etc,free rotations and flat repairs if needed, I feel much better about the purchase and service. read more

Would give a 0 rating if possible. I returned after a bad experience when at the request of the regional manager. But ALAS things have not changed at all. Still using scrupulous ways to charge more for things. Wouldn't honor warranties and their parts aren't durable and need replacement within a year. NOT RECOMMENDED. Adding past issues with this place. I'll start with the brake issue this time. The sales person (I think named Justin) walked it with estimates in hand about brakes & ties, without even checking about prior work done on my car. I had to remind him to take a look at the prior records and also pulled out a copy of old work order and then all he could say, oh it's covered in warranty, but you have to pay for labor. No apologies for not checking prior. On top when I asked how come it went bad so quickly (within a year), he tries to tell me that I should have brought the car in after 1 winter of usage. It is not excusable. I got the work done, since it is brakes, a safety concern. I would count it as deliberate deception. In addition, during one of the prior visits, I was initially told the driver axle joint needs replacement. When they started the service, the guy walks in the waiting room and tells that the mechanic says the passenger side axle joint also needs replacement. Well, I expressed my dissatisfaction about them always finding issues after they start working on the car. At that point, the person says, well we will put the passenger axle without charging you. But in a few minutes he comes back saying looks like the other axle is still good. Yeah it is good when you have to comp for it. This I will list as deceptive practice and recommending changes when not required. In third instance they tested a year old battery wrongly and recommended it to be replaced. I don't know if this's not textbook definition of deception then what is. read more

Service is horrible. Brought tires taken off to be put on and told they weren't good enough to put on. So went home and brought the other 2 tires. Most not have liked not selling me new tires, so made me wait while other customers came and went. I put these back on because of a leaking new winter tire they installed. I called today (2/27/2013) at 3pm to schedule an alignment check and possible alignment if need-be and talked with Justin W. I asked about availability for an appointment and he seemed distracted and the closest I could get was Saturday morning. As I was giving my info for the appointment I mentioned I'd bought tires from them and should be in the system, at which point Justin's tone changed and I was automatically invited to come in right after work today between 5 and 530 to get my tires checked. I stopped by at 520 to and checked in with Justin. There was a girl to my right talking with another employee about tires and alignments, to which Justin kept trying to motion to the other employee that I was here for an alignment also. It seemed the other employee was not interested in caring so our appointments were both turned in. There were a few others in the waiting room and I sat down to wait for an alignment diagnostic. It took almost two hours for the technicians to pull my car to the service area. I respect they serviced the vehicles based on order of who had been waiting, but that is inacceptable. I considered a few times just leaving but figured I'd waited too long to give up now. Finally Aristides called my name to discuss the diagnostic. He was professional and concise and explained what the problems were with my tires and discussed price for what he recommended I have done to my car. At this point I, as politely as I could, informed him it had been too long, I wanted my keys, sign out, get my car, and just go home. He admitted he knew I was waiting a while and apologized, to which I could not accept, and went about signing me out and getting my keys and car for me. He handed me a copy of the alignment diagnostic, apologized again and suggested getting me a better price for the job if I would come back, to which I promptly replied 'I won't.' He didn't have a response for that and handed me my paperwork and keys. I asked if I was all set, and as I turned to leave Aristides said he hoped I'd have a good night, to which I replied 'Unfortunately you've made that impossible.' This kind of experience is a plague to customer service. How am I to return to Dunn Tire when this is how I am treated? Why offer me a deal on service only after I turn down the initial standard quote when you know I've been waiting all that time. If it meant that much to you to keep me as a customer then take your one chance and prove you want to make the best experience possible for a customer. This place is horrible. Wish I did not have to give them any stars! If you need tires they are right there and will get you in. If you have an issue like a slow leak in one tire that you bought from them and need tire rotation, good luck getting seen. They will say can't get to it today but we can make an appointment. Well when I got the tires I asked will I need appointments for tire rotation or if they need checking for air. They said no you can just stop in we even have 5 minute air checks! Excellent job installing tires on black aftermarket wheels. Very knowledgeable and honest staff!! Service is top notch and prices are comparable to competitors. Called around and everyone was hesitant to install tires on the black wheels I had except for Dunn on West Henrietta Rd. They were also able to get new TPMS sensors sync'd on my 2014 Ram. They patched it in 20 minutes where the other shop told me it was not fixable and that I should replace both front tires that had only 9000 miles on them. We have been buying tires for the past 30 years. My fathers and brothers purchased tires when Dunn was over at the original location on W. Henrietta Rd in the plaza where Movies 10 is. Myself and my husband continued to purchase our tires from there as well. In the past 5 yrs I have gone to the location on W. Henrietta Rd near Jefferson Rd. I went there for a front end alignment and new tires and also to fix a tie rod that was broken. I was told that my tires would be under warranty and that the tie rod would be repaired. I spent over $1000.00 there. The following year my tires were bold again. Brand new tires that should last 70,000. I was a stay at home mom and never drive long distance and put less than 10,000 miles a year if that. I have had to replace all 4 of my tires at least 3 times. Every time I go back there they always say I am not covered and that I need to buy new tires and that there is another issue with the car that needs to be repaired. And one was the tie rod work they already had done. Since, I am a woman I feel like they always try to upsell me to another deal or warranty. But, than I can never get a warranty replacement when needed. I was told if I got a flat they would fix it for free. And that has not happened once. I have a 2007 vehicle that I purchased and never had issues with Dunn like this in the past. But, there service is horrible. Wait times are very long. I was told the wait would be 1.5 hrs at the most and I ended up being there 3 hrs. And every time the Dunn employee came to tell me it would be longer he would mention they found something else. Mind you I had been in previously and had the car worked on and they checked everything and said I was all set. That was 6 months before. I will never go there again and I WILL NOT recommend or send any family and friends to go there going forward. All the employees are trained to do now is UPSELL, UPSELL, UPSELL!! The most recent time I was in was because a tire that I had recently purchased within the past 6 months was losing air. I went there asking if they could fix it as I was told before. The employee said since my car was up on the lift he could not take my tire off and repair it due to NY State law. That is such a crook of shit. As far as I remember they used to just take the tire off and repair it or replace it. Now, they need to get the car up on the lift and than they find issues that need to be fixed before they can fix the tire. Thanks Dunn for nothing. You lost a lot of business from a family that has dealt with your business for years. Used to be a happy customer walking out of Dunn. Always straight up and honest. Now, its all about making money. I will look for a better place to buy my tires going forward. I am sure there are better ones out there. I should have paid attention to the lack of vehicles in your parking lot.
