Anytime my car is operating top notch before inspection and it fails with no apparent symptoms, I get suspicious. My car failed due to a broken right sway bar link, so I had it replaced at what I thought was a high price for the part. I asked the manager if this was for one side or both and he said just for the right side since they were left/right specific. This didn't make sense to me since I repair items that are paired like pads and rotors at the same time, Nevertheless, I consented. While I waited, I observed the manager and the serviceman with their torches near the left sway bar link.?? Didn't think nothing about it at the time, nevertheless driving home I heard noise from the rear that wasn't there before. The next day I looked under the vehicle and saw the left sway bar link disconnected at the top. I bought the part for 18.99 + tax and installed it myself afterward. According to the DEX FS maintenance package, I'm not sure the tires were ever rotated, and washer fluid was listed as added and charged when I had filled it myself the night before. The way I am, I don't bother reconciling grievances, I just don't return. I am inclined to say that my store experience has left me not so much as accusatory as I am suspicious with a lost sense of confidence in Midas. Since I do a lot of repairs myself, I do not come to Midas a lot, but you have lost a customer for oil changes. Mark M. (Cicero Store)

Their customer service is top notch along with their mechanics. I found out that my cabin air filter was absurdly dirty. Supposedly my dealer had changed that on a service call. I needed a new muffler and they replaced that. When I needed new tires, I knew who to contact. Once again, they were super friendly and scheduled me at my convenience. They gave me an excellent price for my four new tires. On top of that, my first rotation was free. I went today to have the rotation done. When I arrived for my appointment, they took my car immediately to do the job. When you need service on your vehicle, call John's Auto. You will immediately hear the friendliness and customer service the minute they answer the phone. Your vehicle will be taken care of like they own it and the price will be beyond belief.

The woman who answered the phone was super nice, talked me through how to look for my tire size, and looked to see if they had one in stock- all on the first call since I was in a precarious situation on a median off a busy highway speed merge. I eventually made it to them and they squeezed me into their busy day, repaired the flat on the spot, and patched it instead of upselling me a new tire. The mechanic was fantastic and friendly, the office was also professional and friendly- and you can tell it's a busy place with a long-time solid reputation. Made it back to NYC on my "new" tire and after my first affordable visit to a mechanic lol, I can't rave about them enough! Thanks John's Auto Care for your help today :)

Bottom line up front - Dave (Manager) was all over it with his customer focused approach to every person there. I experienced this first from the initial phone call to set an appointment, through my vehicle drop off and all the way through payment and vehicle pick up. I elected to wait for my services in the Customer Waiting Room and I witnessed this approach with every customer that walked in the door that day. Dave made the experience. I'll be back for any future mechanical and tire needs. Only 2nd to Dave was that of the Technicians working on my Jeep... I have absolutely nothing negative to say. Dave was upfront and honest and the Technician was quick, competent and proficient. Not once was I given the bate and scare high pressure sale tactic often used to manipulate you in to getting more than what's actually needed. I was provided a full upfront honest assessment of what was needed.....I know this to be true as I went in knowing exactly what was needed and the assessment aligned exactly with what I knew I needed. Not once did Dave try to push additional "recommend" services on me as they simply were not needed. I'd recommend this Mavis location to anyone. I'll be back for future services.

    Atrocious customer service at the Camillus, NY location! Several days ago, I scheduled an online…read moreappointment for an 8am NYS inspection. I arrived just before 8:00 and was told that I would need to leave my vehicle but was promised it would be done and ready for pickup by 12. This was slightly inconvenient and pushing the limits of some other time constraints I had for today but I agreed to leave it. After all, we assured it would be done by 12. By 12:40 when we could plainly see that my vehicle hadn't moved an inch from the spot where I parked it nearly 5 hours earlier, we decided to go and retrieve it. The associate working attempted to refer to the 4 hour guideline we were given when we phoned in the appointment. Never mind that we DID NOT phone the appointment in or that the 4 hour window was already exceeded, there was clearly no intention of getting to my scheduled service any time soon. The desk worker also advised that they have only one inspector and made several other excuses rather than man-up by admitting to their failure to execute. What a massive waste of time. Terrible service and complete incompetence.
