Dr. Barakat is professional, detail-oriented, and takes the time to explain everything. I wanted my teeth to look perfect, and I am beyond happy with the results. Unlike other offices where I felt like just another patient, she makes sure you feel comfortable. You will get personalized care and she uses the latest technology. Her honesty and genuine nature make her someone you can trust, which is VERY important when choosing an orthodontist. I had consulted another highly respected orthodontist before choosing Dr. Barakat. While the other office gave me a quick five-minute assessment and quote, Dr. Barakat spent nearly an hour explaining the detailed plan to shift my lower teeth and address my issues comprehensively. She explained that if I just did what they wanted, then my root issue would resurface in the future. This thoroughness and dedication to patient care made my choice clear. The entire team at Opus 1 makes you feel at home. Lynn at the front desk is a delight--super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable with over 25 years of experience. Her bright energy and helpfulness were also key factors in my decision. Opus 1 Orthodontic Studio truly stands out in every aspect. If you want the best of the best for perfect teeth or any other orthodontic needs, Dr. Barakat and Opus 1 is the place to go!

They checked my bite and explained that I'm currently at about 85% correction. They recommended either wearing a nighttime retainer to prevent any further movement or Invisalign to get me back to 100%. I really appreciated that they didn't pressure me either way. The office staff also ran my insurance, provided an estimate, and followed up with me about pricing. Nancy at the front office was incredibly polite and even remembered me from years ago! I had a great experience with Stieg & Wachtel then, and I continue to have a great experience with them now. Wow. What can I say about this facility... It started with a warm welcome from Ashley getting me checked in. I then get taken back and see the hygienist Janet. She was full of wisdom and knowledge and very thorough in her examination communicating every step of the way!! We then made our way to the star of the show, Dr. Mark Brouillette. This man was the most caring doctor I have ever met. This is a man who genuinely wants to help people and isn't in this field for the money like everyone else. He was incredibly honest and beyond fair. So much so that this man literally brought tears to my eyes. He made me feel soooo comfortable and made sure I was taken care of. He not only was going to be able to fix everything, he also showed me the teeth that needed to be fixed in the other places opinion was a complete attempt to rob me, as I didn't know any different. He is one of the few people I healthcare that are in it for the right reason and not money!!! He then went to work on a price with Daniel, who was an absolute dream to work with. Daniel came and let me know and it was a cut in literally half for more work than the other place!!! This place deserves 10 stars and have earned my business for life!!!! Thank you Modern Dental and it's staff!!!! You literally changed my life!!!

I'm so glad that I listened to my instincts and got a second look from Dr. Thomas. The office was super flexible in getting me scheduled during a convenient time, and everyone I interacted with was so courteous and kind. During the exam, I was praying it was nothing because I would have done ANYTHING to avoid a crown! After a closer look, however, Dr. Thomas found that the situation was even worse than a cracked tooth. The 10 year old filling was simply never done well enough to begin with and resulted in underlying problems that caused me pain and cold sensitivity for almost a decade. The way Dr. Thomas put it: "They did a half measure back then, but we will give it a full measure so you don't have trouble with that tooth again." I couldn't believe my last dentist never saw that this was an issue. I'll spare the details on a public forum, but once we went forward with a root canal and crown, all of Dr. Thomas' findings from the initial exam turned out to be correct and the work he did very likely saved my tooth, and saved me from so much more suffering. Now that my crown is in, I have had no sensitivity or pain and I honestly didn't realize how much discomfort I had been in for so long until it was corrected! Even though this office is further from my home, I will be looking to move my whole family to the trusted care of Dr. Thomas + team. You only get one set of permanent teeth -- don't leave it up to half measure effort.
