Home Depot was not able to match anything correctly and after a while I just gave up and went to Mark's. It was a good decision and our home project has finally been finished (and successfully I might add). So, the quality of the paint is great, they match expertly, if you bring a big enough sample and the turnaround time is usually within a few hours or next day. Pricing is a bit on the high side, but not outrageously so. Why only 4 stars? Those guys are grumpy! I told him that he was rude & did not know his job. I went home & called corporate. Corporate found the paint with in 2 minutes. Thank you Alice! I went back to the store (2nd time) and gave them the name of the Paints I needed from a different sales person. He asked me the finish of paint & I did not know. He said he needed that information. I agreed & told him to look it up on the computer. He said it was not there. OK - Give me the phone so I could call corporate to get the information - It was amazing how fast he looked it up on the computer!!! No thank you after my purchase of $350 dollars. I have to know there was a sale going on, but you wouldn't know it from inside that store. There were no posters about the sale or anything unlike all the other locations I've been to. I asked if they were doing the promotion and was told yes. But I shouldn't have to beg to get the discount. What's worse: there are no prices on anything! You have to ask a sales person to get the price on even the smallest items. What kind of store does that? Is the price determined by how much he likes me? What I'm wearing? How rich I look? It's ridiculous. I ordered multiple sample size paint and one of them was mixed incorrectly. Skip this location.

THE BEST PAINT STORE…read more I was looking for paint since I was remodeling my house and wanted a more long lasting quality paint. The bald guy that was helping me was so informative. He was so helpful with my swatches for the interior of my house and even helped me choose the best finishing. They have everything from brushes, wood stains, tape etc. to help with the process of painting. I also really like how all their products are really high quality. Unfortunately, this visit was frustrating. I placed an online order that was estimated to be ready in 15 minutes. I intentionally waited an hour before coming in, but I still had to wait while my order was put together. It honestly would have been faster to walk the aisles myself, grab the item, and pay at the register. What disappointed me even more was the customer service at the front counter. The staff I interacted with came across as dismissive and unfriendly, which made the experience feel less welcoming than I expected. I genuinely want to keep supporting Cole Hardware because local businesses matter. I just hope they can improve the online pickup process and provide a friendlier customer experience. Those two changes would make a big difference and would keep me choosing them over the convenience of Amazon.

First, they carry Benjamin Moore paint and it's the best. You can pay much more for paint or slightly less, but either way that's silly. Benjamin Moore always has terrific colors and texture and great durability. Any time I've hired professional painters, this is the line they use. We need to keep this business thriving so we can always get a same-day gallon of Chantilly Lace (if you know you know). Second, they have everything paint related under one roof. Your time is valuable and you can't go to two stores looking for the wide painters tape or that butcher paper stuff to cover the floor. Third, their service is above and beyond. You order online and your stuff waits for you on a shelf outside for immediate grabbing. You walk in and someone asks you what you need. Amazing. I put their service to the test today by ordering a sample size of Dark Taupe paint, placing it on the roof of my car while I loaded other things, then driving off. When I realized what I had done (and I did it -- you can see my Dark Taupe paint splatter in their parking lot), I returned to apologize and reorder and found they had REFILLED MY ORDER and placed it on the shelf without comment. You think Home Depot would have done that?!
