THE BEST PAINT STORE…read more I was looking for paint since I was remodeling my house and wanted a more long lasting quality paint. The bald guy that was helping me was so informative. He was so helpful with my swatches for the interior of my house and even helped me choose the best finishing. The paint was ready within minutes and he helped me bring it to the car which I appreciated since it was so heavy. They have everything from brushes, wood stains, tape etc. to help with the process of painting. I also really like how all their products are really high quality. Definitely will back for future home renovations!!

I have to know there was a sale going on, but you wouldn't know it from inside that store. There were no posters about the sale or anything unlike all the other locations I've been to. I asked if they were doing the promotion and was told yes. But I shouldn't have to beg to get the discount. What's worse: there are no prices on anything! You have to ask a sales person to get the price on even the smallest items. What kind of store does that? Is the price determined by how much he likes me? What I'm wearing? How rich I look? It's ridiculous. I ordered multiple sample size paint and one of them was mixed incorrectly. Skip this location.

I had a great experience in the past, so there's no reason to go anywhere else. Went in and matched up my sample with the colors on display. Okay, I got my paint, and I grabbed some small brushes. Good paint, good service, free parking. Located at Marina Village shopping center next to Bank of Marin.

Here's why you should make all your paint related purchases at East Bay Paint Center (and resist…read morelooking for cheaper brushes and whatnot at Home Depot or Amazon). First, they carry Benjamin Moore paint and it's the best. You can pay much more for paint or slightly less, but either way that's silly. Benjamin Moore always has terrific colors and texture and great durability. Any time I've hired professional painters, this is the line they use. We need to keep this business thriving so we can always get a same-day gallon of Chantilly Lace (if you know you know). Second, they have everything paint related under one roof. Your time is valuable and you can't go to two stores looking for the wide painters tape or that butcher paper stuff to cover the floor. Third, their service is above and beyond. You order online and your stuff waits for you on a shelf outside for immediate grabbing. You walk in and someone asks you what you need. Amazing. I put their service to the test today by ordering a sample size of Dark Taupe paint, placing it on the roof of my car while I loaded other things, then driving off. When I realized what I had done (and I did it -- you can see my Dark Taupe paint splatter in their parking lot), I returned to apologize and reorder and found they had REFILLED MY ORDER and placed it on the shelf without comment. You think Home Depot would have done that?!

Today, I called in and was placed on hold ' for a second', which turned into over 10 minutes. I called back and finally got someone on the line who was helping with my order. He went to check on product and then...disappeared for over 10 minutes. I called on my other phone (while still on hold with phone 1) and someone picked up, said the guy who was helping me was assisting an in-store customer and I then ask the guy I'm talking to to help me. Rather than help, he abruptly put me on hold. 5 minutes later my call on phone 1 was hung up on by SW. 9 minutes later the guy who was originally helping me came back on the line to tell me they couldn't fulfill my order. A half hour on the phone wasted. I strongly advise utilizing the Hayward location. Hayward offers friendlier, more competent service

They have my paint colors on file, so I can get the same colors again and again. They did a decent job of paint matching something I'd already had. We did do a verbal back and forth to make sure the color was just so. As a result of the careful negotiations, I was able to only use one coat of paint instead of multiple coats, because the match was so good. My only beef (and it does not rate a - on stars) is that I wish they carried the consumer model Wagner "Sidekick" roller pump and accessories. OSH carries that, which means I need to wait in line with the rest of the weekend warriors.
