I stopped by ACE Hardware right before closing time and the two gentlemen working there helped me to find the miniature screw I needed to repair the key fob. When I tried to pay for the screw and the screwdriver I'd taken off the wall to screw it in, the cashier said "put the screwdriver back." So my total came to $0.47. I felt bad I didn't have any cash so I handed him my debit card. He paused and grabbed the change cup and paid for my screw out of it. So not only did I get individual, expert, efficient help but I left without paying anything. That is how you get return customers. That is how you get someone who has only been to your store a couple times to recommend it to anyone and everyone needing parts, help, whatever. I'm impressed. And I plan to bring cash next time! I went in for a simple tape measure as I left mine back at my shop for an install that I was doing down the street. I've included a photo from the rack as well as one from Friedmans Hardware, this True Value is charging double for the same tape measure. Don't shop here they're just gonna rip you off. Finally, when I pointed this out to the girl working the register who is the only one I could see working there she wanted to argue about it with me. One of the arguments was service there... the service sucked! The tape measures were all locked up so I had to get her to come unlock them and I had to wait for her to finish ringing up customers. There no value in this "True Value" hardware store.
