I am perplexed how a company treats a prospective new customer so badly to ruin a relationship,…read moreperhaps forever. I needed glasses. I made an appointment by phone and had four conversations pre-planning for my appt. sorting out insurance details and identifying if specific frames were in stock. A great experience. A thank you to Donna who was most helpful. Then came the appointment. I was 14 minutes late. There was snowy weather, slick roads. I traveled approximately an hour, having had to leave work and take off early. And I was turned away immediately as I walked in the door. "You are late for your appointment so we need to reschedule you." No option. The on sight team said they had no record of insurance. They looked, they found it. (Donna was not working). Again, no quarter; no understanding for 14 minutes late. And on the last day of the year, which has other implications. In honor of the next customer to have a good experience it is company policy to deny your appointment if you are late. To their credit they called the next customer who confirmed the were on their way. I was explained to have only a 30 minute window. I blew it by 14 minutes so "off with me". Being a business owner, I am flabbergasted. Coincidentally, I had a very meeting important meeting with a large municipality the day before. The client was late due to their meetings. I and my team member waited patiently. Our meeting went over. It is what one does to earn business and trust in prospective clients. But NOT Lenscrafters. At least Bradley IL Lenscrafters. They lost over $1K in business. I lost faith in a business - LensCrafters. Just amazing, and a horrible way to handle a first time potential client. I had 4 phone calls (due to some back and forth questions) ahead of the appointment. I input data online. And I was never forewarned of a strict adherence to schedule. I would not have left my job early. I would have altered my plans, even mid way. Donna was so helpful and professional. And then this experience. I would have called ahead to confirm if I would still be turned away. I am again flabbergasted, gobsmacked, dismayed at the action of a company and team who clearly do not need new customers, let along potential lifelong customers with family who have corrective vision needs, and friends. How does the saying go? 'have a good experience and hopefully you will tell a few others about "us" ; have a bad experience and you will tell everyone who will listen' ? Sad. Know what you are in for with this Bradley IL Lenscrafters team before you do business with them.

Until now I went back, because they usually took care…read moreof whatever mistakes/problems there were (whether it was the company that makes their lenses, or the script) without extra charge. Keep in mind this is now the third year in a row that my lenses have been bad on first delivery of the glasses. The previous two years I had them fix the problem immediately, and when the glasses returned they were good. This year.. the same as the last couple years, I mentioned the glasses weren't right, and was told to give them a couple weeks, and see if I got use to them. I don't wear them too regularly, and because of work, along with wanting to give the glasses a fair try it unfortunately took about 3 months time to where I could get back in. Going into that time frame I figured I would need to pay for the new lenses, and was prepared for that. I decided I just wanted the old script from 2024 put back in, which is much more comfortable on my eye sight. I called and made the appointment, and was told the doctor will want to speak with me, but there would be no charge. All good.. then I got a text message (not a phone call) that there would be a charge for an office visit. At that time I called to find out why the change, and was told it would be billed as a regular office visit since it had been 6 months. I mentioned it hadn't been 6 months, and then it changed to past 30 days. When I mentioned I was told I should give the glasses a couple weeks on top of waiting a couple weeks initially, that would put me past 30 days. I was then transferred.. and the time frame changed again to 3 months. Which at this current time had just passed. Again, I was prepared to pay for the lenses at 3 months (that's on me), but don't believe it's fair to charge me for another office visit when I simply want lenses changed over, so I have glasses that are wearable. They claim it's to make sure my eyes are ok.. well I did mention the glasses weren't right immediately at the time I received them, and I see the same without my glasses as I did 3 months ago.. no problems there. The problem I'm having is the change in getting charged for an office visit that is unnecessary, along with being given 3 different time frames on why I'm supposed to need to see the doctor again. No thank you, too many problems and inconsistencies for me. Had they just switched out my lenses without hassle and charged me for that, I'd been ok with it, but you're not going to charge me again for an office visit on something that isn't my mistake.
