I chose Dunlap Vision intentionally because of their high recommendations. While the staff and my optician have been consistently friendly, their kindness does not negate a grueling two month ordeal that remains unresolved. ​My experience began on February 10 when I ordered two pairs of glasses. I was told they would take one to two weeks. After three weeks of silence and my own follow up calls, I was finally told they were ready, only for one pair to be sent back immediately for failing quality control. I did not receive even one pair until March 10. ​Since then, it has been a cycle of repeated errors. When the first pair felt off, I was told to give my eyes time to adjust, only for the office to later realize the bifocal measurement was incorrect from the start. After that was supposedly fixed, the prescription itself had to be changed. ​This is not just a minor inconvenience. This debacle has physically impacted every waking hour of my life. I left for a long awaited vacation to the Smoky Mountains with glasses that were still incorrect. Because my eyes were so strained by the constant switching, I could no longer even use my old backup glasses without feeling ill. I spent my vacation battling nausea and headaches. I had to hold onto my husband just to walk, and we had to cancel our hiking plans entirely. ​Today is April 10. It has been two full months, and I still do not have functional eyewear. The office excuse that they do not know my eyes because I am a new patient is unacceptable. They have been paid in full, yet there is zero urgency to rectify the physical and personal toll this has taken on me. Friendly apologies are no longer enough when my quality of life is being sacrificed to incompetence. read more

Love Dunlap Vision with 1 caveat that doesn't affect me but is worth noting... The staff is wonderful, friendly, always engaging and smiling. They strive to always go beyond the basic formalities of service. The doctors are thorough and seem competent. The caveat is... when in business you stake your claim because you try, but realize, you can't serve everyone and you have to be happy with that. That being said it would be nice if they could be open one Saturday a month, 8-12 perhaps, for those who absolutely can't make it there during the week. read more

I shouldn't have to take a vacation day from work to pick up my glasses. The hours are not convenient at all. The doctor actually said to me " we used to have a lot of people from your company coming here". They would probably still be patients if they didn't have to use PTO to get an appointment. read more

Very professional, very thorough, but a bit on the pricey side, especially with no insurance. But the staff is very helpful, and friendly. Dr. Peachey is super, very sweet, knowledgeable, and caring. My only complaint is that it sure is taking a long time for my glasses to come in. Hopefully this week. I would recommend them to anyone who wants a top quality experience in eye care. read more

My daughter has a very strong prescription, she sees an ophthalmologist in Chicago but Dunlap Vision was still more than happy to order her glasses. Nina called several different labs and made sure to get the best lenses she could so my daughter could see clearly. read more

I took my grandpa here about 6 months ago after an unfavorable experience at a different office. The service and care were so far above what we have ever experienced that we brought my grandma in today. She is very nervous to make changes, but she was so happy she wished she had come here years ago. Dr. Lisa and all the staff were absolitely wonderful, accommodating, and kind. The office was clean and professional. I think it may be time for me to stop avoiding the eye doctor myself, because I have found the right place! read more

While the staff is decent, that fact that I haven't been able to get into this office for the past 2 weeks is very irritating. It's not that I'm trying to make an appointment, I am simply trying to pick up my glasses. However, I have found that rarely do they stay open at the hours that are actually advertised, as apparently they were not open at all on Saturday, despite supposedly being open til 1pm, and closed early when I tried most recently. The staff seems to believe that my own schedule as a customer comes second to their, to which I just disagree. I would at least appreciate being able to access their office at the established hours if nothing else. This is poor etiquette for any establishment, and it points to bigger problems we don't see. read more

I had a great visit! Well except the extremely rude guy at the front desk with the long beard and bald head- don't know his name. Not welcoming at all and gave me a lecture about being late to appointments even though i literally walked it at 8:01 for a 8:00 appointment... i'm an adult, i know how to manage time. Not a good first impression but otherwise they had a clean environment and friendly doctors! I definitely suggest! just ignore the front desk guy :) read more

This was my first visit to Dunlap and I had a great visit. I went here because they accept care credit which is a plus for me. But they also had curteous staff who had great personalities. Dr. Lisa was great and was able to get me in early, which I didn't mind at all. She was very nice and talked to me about my eye problems and suggested new treatments for them. WORST!!! Waited 6 months after mistake after mistake with eye exam, glasses, adjustments, lens popping out, tech breaking frame during adjustments, wrong tinting 4 times,wrong begat wrong finally was told they should have just made my old prescription in the same style & lens shape. Last thing they said wear for a few months--even after I worn final corrected pair for 6 weeks with headaches, dizziness and eye pain. Dr. Dunlap I believe his prices are going to lose customers from purchasing his glasses,...been a customer of Dr Long since he was on Schuyler many years ago after Dr Dunlap had taken over and Dr Joe was gone prices really increased. read more
