Great tasting notes. The food was incredible -- the bagels are so fresh, the English muffins are so light and fluffy and the maple blueberry scone is a must try. 10/10!

First of all, it's on a cute little Main Street that has some historical signs and statues which I love to see. There's parking on the road and we did not have trouble getting a spot despite it being a weekend. They have some offerings in a couple fridges such as pastries and yogurt and there is a sandwich and drink menu. I ordered the ham and jam on a croissant, which is ham and raspberry with Brie I believe. It needed more cheese and less jam I would say. I still enjoyed it though! I had a tough time picking a sandwich because there are so many good options! My pistachio latte was also really good, and they had some good coffee specials. They'll call your order when it's ready and you can bring it to one of the tables they have in the small dining room. It's really cute inside with a stately fireplace, and people were doing work or catching up with friends. You could also sit out on the porch but it was a wintry April... but so bet it's great in the summer!

I'd enjoyed Blue Loon pastries before, but until recently had never visited the bakery myself. A…read morefew days ago, I treated my mom to a stop there for lunch, and it was a wonderful experience. It was lunchtime on a Friday and New London was bustling, yet picking up lunch couldn't have been easier. The sandwiches--made on Blue Loon's own breads--were freshly prepared, neatly wrapped, and stocked in the refrigerator case beside the baked goods. We also picked up a few scones to take home. What impressed me most was the staff. Three young students were working that day, and they were some of the most poised, cheerful, and courteous attendants I've encountered anywhere. One young man immediately understood what I was looking for, gathered everything efficiently, and his colleague had us checked out in no time. In a region already known for friendly people, their professionalism really stood out. The bakery itself was sparkling clean, and I appreciated that the tables were spaced farther apart than is typical, creating a comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Next time, I'd love to stay and enjoy a meal there. And the scones? They're some of the best around--always seasonal, always delicious. If you're planning ahead, pick up some clotted cream from the Lebanon or Hanover Food Co-op along with a jar of strawberry jam, brew a pot of tea, and you'll have a treat worthy of an English afternoon tea.

I did some googling and stumbled upon this coffee shop. From the outside it looks like a charming New England house, and the inside is restored into a coffee shop while still maintaining some of that classic New England homey charm. I got coffee and a croissant and spent some time sitting by the fireplace in the living room portion of the coffee shop. Some of my friends came with me and we really just enjoyed our time catching up over a coffee and pastry. It did end up getting really busy so make sure to come either during the off-season or early in the morning. The coffee was really yummy and the croissant was scrumptious too. They also sold a lot of cute snacks, merch, and other goodies. Can't wait to go back

They sell fresh baked, sliced bread on your left as you enter, between a cold beverages cooler and local newspapers for sale. Cashier is straight ahead. A display case under the counter offered a variety of donuts, bagels, muffins and other treats. A coffee station is at the end of the counter, on the way to the restroom (which is very clean). On our first visit, a Friday morning, we dined in on breakfast sandwiches. There was a short line to order, most of which was take away. My breakfast sandwich was egg, turkey bacon and cheese (I think swiss) on a croissant. It was a very tasty sandwich. My SO had egg, bacon & cheese on a plain bagel. He ate it pretty quickly so I'm thinking it was good. On this first visit I ordered a medium Americano. It has a bit of an espresso bite and was a good strength. They left room in the cup for milk which is available at the coffee station along w/half & half, flavor shots, sweeteners, paper cup holders and lids. Coffee beverages include latte, cappuccino, espresso shots and more. Milk alternatives are available for an additional charge. Our second visit, a Saturday, there was a line to the door. We both ordered medium drip coffees. We were given paper cups and filled them ourselves from the vacuum pump dispensers at the coffee station. This day had regular, decaf, french vanilla, hazelnut and maple coffee varieties. The coffee was a good temperature to drink right away and had a smooth finish. Very good. Third visit, a Sunday, the line to order was out the door. We had a long drive and were anxious to be on the road and decided to just stop along the way. We should have waited. This coffee is far superior to what we ended up with. Don't be like us. It's worth a wait.
