Everything at open was clean and staff was prepared for customers entering the park. They offer FREE WiFi. The operation looks authentic enough, but a few subtle differences. They do support the app for payment, however do not accept gift cards. Other than this the products are genuine Starbucks. The staff was young and not as energetic as I would hope. The room was not set up for our reservation, it felt dusty and cluttered, the tables had crumbs on it, tea cups and the plates had a mix of dust and this black crusty stuff, and she just kept interrupting my daughter's 16th birthday celebration. This mostly because the room wasn't already prepared for the start of our party time. She kept having to bring in stuff and interrupting our conversations and made it awkward. My daughter is autistic, this matters because the host kept touching her shoulder every time she walked past her. I asked for the cake because after an hour of this we decided we don't need the other hour. Instead of leaving us be with the cake I brought the host decided to start singing happy birthday before I had the candle lite and while my daughter was opening her gifts. While I get she is the host I didn't not expect to have her insert herself in our party sooo much. Again our first time was nothing like this, but it's sad to book a 2 hour party and pay for 12 people only to have stale and sour food. Egg salad sandwiches were greenish. We are not rude people so we took the leftovers she packed and tossed it away when we made it to McDonalds. I'm guessing we paid almost $350 and got the crapshoot of a bad day...

As usual, my wife started looking for a place we haven't been before. Having been in Fredericksburg now for almost 2 1/2 years, the list of such places is getting shorter. We were out Route 3 west of 95, and she found a place called Affogato Europa Cafe. It's a family-run cafe and bakery featuring pastries, sandwiches, coffees, and lots of other sweets. It was a very clean, friendly looking place. We looked at the menu and my wife decided to have a Beef and Onion Burek, which is a traditional Balkan flaky pastry filled with, in this case, beef and onions. It was fantastic. Very flavorful and the pastry melted in your mouth. I'm a sucker for anything with the word "breakfast" in it. I had the Balkan Breakfast Panini. This marvelous sandwich contains egg, chorizo, cheese spread, provolone, tomato, and arugula. It was outstanding and the chorizo was very tasty (though a bit hard to bite through). I know I love a sandwich when after I put the last bite in my mouth, I feel a little sad because it is all done. Such was the case here. My wife had a Cortado espresso, which she loved but was a bit strong for me. I had a London Fog, which seemed like a latte with a hint of Earl Gray tea. I loved it, and when my wife tasted it she pronounced it "nummy". She doesn't use that word a lot so when she does I know she loves it. After lunch we split a Lava Cake, which is a small but decadent chocolate cupcake. The dining room was small but comfortable. The servers we encountered at the counter were very friendly. Rest room was very clean. It's not really close to us, but when were shopping out on Route 3, we'll certainly try them again.
