Avocado toast with roasted tomatoes
Samantha J.

Just stopped here for breakfast on the way to Kings Dominion and it was such a great choice! We've been to a lot of Dunkin's all over Virginia but this one is one of our favorites. The coffee and matcha latte we ordered were made perfectly, the avocado toast had more roasted tomatoes on it than I usually get elsewhere and was very generously seasoned and service was fast and friendly. The hash browns were also incredible as usual. We can't wait to go back on the way home!

Cole and his team are beyond awful. All the orders were wrong; all had bad attitudes, and receipts were not available. It's perfectly fine that there was NOTHING in stock because of Covid but try to do the minimum, like warm food, drinks that are right and have the right flavors in them. They turned their back to us while they attempted to put the paper in their machine. Three people had to put the receipt in the machine while they laughed at us in the drive-thru. The attached receipt is not what we got and what was given was completely different. On the way out of the drive-thru, we saw three other people throw away their drinks.

Traveling pit stop here, I needed coffee! Ordered my standard coffee and was about to be on my way until I saw a sign and basket out indicating free samples. It was empty! I gave to cashier some friendly banter about lure of samples and hopes that were now dashed. He gave me a tiny bag of free sample donut holes in return, blueberry. I left happy.

What is this?? I ordered cream in my coffee. NOT coffee with my cream

There were flies EVERYWHERE in his place. But, it looked clean, there was no odd smell, the restroom was immaculate. Great service. Don't order food

Un glazed NPC donut.

Donuts are fresh Atleast... sometimes. But I asked for Glazed, blueberry and cinnamon sugar and got chocolate and non glazed donuts....

This is what we just got from this place. Everything was burnt! Horrible experience were so hungry we got McDonald breakfast instead

I've been here dozens of times and keep coming back for more! Located just off Historic Route 1, in…read moreLadysmith, Virginia, sits the home of a sweet little tearoom named Cuppa Cheer. A welcoming sign invites you inside a peaceful nook where tea and conversation flow in equal measure. This cottage-style tearoom is designed with sage and rose floral chintz curtains, white laced tablecloths and parasols suspended from the ceiling for a whimsical flair. Owner, Terrie, wanted her tearoom to be appealing but not too frilly. She nailed it. Offering old-world hospitality, her tearoom is casual and cozy. She also is a force of nature when it comes to supporting the community and local artists, crafters, writers, and tea lovers! Depending on your appetite, the tea menu provides plenty of options from a "Spot of Tea", a pot of tea, two scones and fruit to the "Dilly-Dally Tea" which includes two pots of tea, four scones both savory and sweet, tea sandwiches, fruit, cheese, crudités, pastries and petite desserts. With the set menu changing monthly, you may be served such delightful tea sandwiches as cherry-walnut cream cheese, lavender chicken salad, avocado egg salad, carrot raisin sweet sandwich, tuna baby-pea crostini and the classic cucumber and cream cheese. The savory scones may include spring onion and cheddar while the sweet selection may be a peach cobbler scone. If you are lucky, you may come in time for the strawberry cupcakes and the homemade chocolate fudge. We enjoyed every morsel and the service was superb! Whatever treats are on the menu, it's always appetizing! Tea drinkers won't be overwhelmed with an extensive tea menu. Terrie thoughtfully offers a selection of about fifteen choices ranging from classic teas like Earl Grey and English Breakfast to green teas, herbal and fruit teas, oolong teas and chai teas. There's a tea for every taste! It's Earl Grey for me! After tea, be sure to enjoy shopping in Cuppa Cheer's corner gift shop. Filled with not only tea caddies, teacups, teapots and books, this shop is also brimming with hand-crafted items such as greeting cards, tea cozies, tea coasters, jewelry, wreaths and more. You may even find an elegant hat that suits your fancy. Be sure to browse around the tearoom dotted with tasteful tea décor and take a gander at the tea chandelier and the teacup quilt both hanging in the craft room. My Cuppa Cheer runneth over!

I'm going to start with I've visited this place twice and had two totally different experiences. A…read morecouple years ago we brought our Girl Scout troop and it was very lovely. Clean and the food was wonderful. Unfortunately we did not have that experience this time. I'll also add the host had recently had surgery and I'm unsure if that played a role in our experience. Our list of issues is long. The room was not set up for our reservation, it felt dusty and cluttered, the tables had crumbs on it, tea cups and the plates had a mix of dust and this black crusty stuff, and she just kept interrupting my daughter's 16th birthday celebration. This mostly because the room wasn't already prepared for the start of our party time. She kept having to bring in stuff and interrupting our conversations and made it awkward. My daughter is autistic, this matters because the host kept touching her shoulder every time she walked past her. I asked for the cake because after an hour of this we decided we don't need the other hour. Instead of leaving us be with the cake I brought the host decided to start singing happy birthday before I had the candle lite and while my daughter was opening her gifts. While I get she is the host I didn't not expect to have her insert herself in our party sooo much. Again our first time was nothing like this, but it's sad to book a 2 hour party and pay for 12 people only to have stale and sour food. Egg salad sandwiches were greenish. We are not rude people so we took the leftovers she packed and tossed it away when we made it to McDonalds. I'm guessing we paid almost $350 and got the crapshoot of a bad day...

As usual, my wife started looking for a place we haven't been before. Having been in Fredericksburg now for almost 2 1/2 years, the list of such places is getting shorter. We were out Route 3 west of 95, and she found a place called Affogato Europa Cafe. It's a family-run cafe and bakery featuring pastries, sandwiches, coffees, and lots of other sweets. It was a very clean, friendly looking place. We looked at the menu and my wife decided to have a Beef and Onion Burek, which is a traditional Balkan flaky pastry filled with, in this case, beef and onions. It was fantastic. Very flavorful and the pastry melted in your mouth. I'm a sucker for anything with the word "breakfast" in it. I had the Balkan Breakfast Panini. This marvelous sandwich contains egg, chorizo, cheese spread, provolone, tomato, and arugula. It was outstanding and the chorizo was very tasty (though a bit hard to bite through). I know I love a sandwich when after I put the last bite in my mouth, I feel a little sad because it is all done. Such was the case here. My wife had a Cortado espresso, which she loved but was a bit strong for me. I had a London Fog, which seemed like a latte with a hint of Earl Gray tea. I loved it, and when my wife tasted it she pronounced it "nummy". She doesn't use that word a lot so when she does I know she loves it. After lunch we split a Lava Cake, which is a small but decadent chocolate cupcake. The dining room was small but comfortable. The servers we encountered at the counter were very friendly. Rest room was very clean. It's not really close to us, but when were shopping out on Route 3, we'll certainly try them again.
