We chose a dozen donuts ($23, 5/5 stars): Boston cream (my fave), chocolate glazed, pumpkin, lemon glazed, cinnamon sugar, and blueberry chip. They also offer coffee but it's a push button machine so we went elsewhere to experience more "local" love. Clean space with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of shared lot parking spaces.

We were here from out of town for a soccer tournament and stopped in on a whim as I wanted something sweet. The owner was so lovely and said they'd been in biz for 10 years and I can see why. We bought 2 sugar cookies and my 11 yo (an expert in sugar cookies) said it was a 6 out of 5 - best sugar cookie ever! The other one we bought bc it looked like my husband who was not with us. We also got a pb cookie and brownie and though I bought those for the rest of our family who are not traveling with us they may not make it home. Now I'm hoping they are open again tomorrow. They've been in business for over two generations, and all of the ladies who work there are extremely friendly and they go above and beyond to provide outstanding customer service! I'm 70 years old, and if I were younger I would love to work there. They're doing it "ALL right" to still be in a thriving bakery business in our struggling times. I get my holiday orders in early, and once you become a regular customer you'll understand why! They work endlessly to make sure that they have taken care of their customers wants and needs long before Christmas Eve. They close the bakery from the afternoon on Christmas Eve, and they stay closed until after the New Year! We all realize how important it is for their staff to enjoy the holidays with their own families and friends, so we make sure that we're set with our bakery orders and needs before Christmas Eve. We'll be in line and happily waiting for them to open their doors again after the New Year! Thank you for the years of kindness and quality baked goods, coupled with outstanding customer service and hospitality In our community! Sincerely from, Kimberly Ann Hall

The ones I tried were the yeast type of donut and had a terrific consistency being soft and not too dense. Also tried an apple fritter that was almost twice as large as the donuts. The highlight were the croissant donuts. They were layers of buttery, flaky dough in a square format. I've tried the ones from Dominic Ansel when the cronut was at its peak and I prefer the Freddy version. I found the ones with the drizzle on them to be better. If you can't commit to a whole cronut you can get cronut bites for 25 cents each!

It's ran by the Amish and with that you're expected to experience certain things during your shop. For instance no electricity. It's pretty dim in here but there is a working light source.
