And after boycotting dunkin after they discontinued these flavors, I am a returning customer. The Lake Ronkonkoma Dunkin is one of the only drive through in the area. Most of the time I swing by in the afternoon noon or evening time and although sometimes the person at the drive through is difficult to understand through the speaker. They are quick and always get your order right. Although they have a drive through there is ample parking. I haven't been inside in many years but the drive through experience in the afternoons and evenings is quick. Service was a bit iffy, as it seemed like the staff didn't know what they were doing. But we picked up a cake to celebrate Bubs birthday with the fam. We got a big cupcake cake and the fam raved about it. What makes Baskin Robbin's ice cream cake so yummy is there is there is actual cake in there. This is now my favorite DD in the area. It's only a few minutes out of the way . I appreciate It's cleanliness more than ever and spacious parking lot. Very convenient to get to. Staff is pleasant too! Very pleased with the drive-thru and the fact that they always get our order correct. I'm glad I moved out to Lake Ronkonkoma. It's given me a fresh look at this lengthy island and provided me with opportunities to visit new places...like Dunkin'. Ha! Of course Dunkin' is nothing new to this frequent flyer, but the Lake Ronkonkoma Dunkin' is a place I've only just started to visit (back in March upon my Suffolk move) with mostly positive results. You see, this Dunkin' is quite different than my little New Hyde Park coffee spot. That Dunkin' is tiny and doesn't offer up too many frills like this Lake Ronkonkoma one can. What frills, you say? Ah yes, frills in the form of a drive-thru, Baskin Robins, and Nitro cold brew. All of these things are definitely found at other Dunkin's, but it's new to me and my old local stop...so no judgement. Honestly, that nitro on tap was completely new to me. I had never seen a Dunkin' with this available. I'm used to Starbucks rocking this coffee option, so one morning I had to give Dunkin's version a shot. Unfortunately, I think the sweet cream that was supposed to be on top of this cup of Joe was missing, the taste was a little too bitter for cold brew, and that aforementioned cup was quite small for the price...perhaps nitro cold brew isn't widely found at Dunkin' for a reason. Besides that, I'll give Lake Ronkonkoma's Dunkin' plenty of props for having my coffee ready to go every time I order it ahead on the app. Employees have been semi-friendly (which is all I can ask for) as well and the place seems to be kept pretty clean. Most importantly, the coffee is made correctly and tastes good. That's the one thing any avid Dunkin' drinker might say: No two Dunkin's make their coffee the same way. It's an unfortunate reality of Dunkin', but a truth which has honestly shied me away from them more and more over the last year or so...I digress. Let's just say this Dunkin' does things right (or at least has up to this point). Overall, Dunkin' of Lake Ronkonkoma offers up just about everything I can ask for from a coffee spot (at least of their caliber). I'll continue to visit this Dunkin' for my (mostly) daily sips of caffeine. Perhaps I'll even try that nitro cold brew again sometime...well, maybe. read more

Food is fine (it's pretty hard to mess up ) this is my main Dunkin in my area ........unfortunately. The issue with this dunkin is every single time me or my wife go to this place on any day of the week and at different times of the day the drive through line LITERALLY TAKES FOREVER. Horrible place, horrible service, messed up order twice. Get there 9pm, doors closed but sign says open till 10pm. Have to get all my kids back in car and go thru drive thru. Fairly large store with plenty of tables to sit and watch cars drive by on Portion Road. Or if you like, you can face the parking lot and watch people enter and leave while checking out the cars. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. What was interesting to me is that you needed to request a key to utlize the rest rooms. A first for me at a Dunkin Donuts. We work down the street and we're excited to see that this Dunkin had reopened. Unfortunately, so far every time we've ordered they've forgotten something or messed it up. Each time I've been to the drive through I've had someone who was less than enthused to be there and not friendly at all. I work in customer service I know times are tough but at least be polite and pay attention to the order. The last time I went back to pick up the order I was ignored but stared at for 5 minutes by the people behind the counter until I asked for help and was told that the phone works but no one was around to answer the few times I called. Service was decent but needed some work. Maybe it was because I got the new employee. BUT ANYWAY.. back to the review! I needed some coffee this morning so I came and got myself some DD coffee. Needed also a small decaf with half and half for my mom. First, he wanted to give me regular and another gentleman behind the counter pointed and told the guy that was helping me where to go for some decaf. My mom and caffeine do not get along to well. So crisis averted. I got myself a small iced blueberry coffee with a Splenda and skim milk. He kept having to ask me my order over and over and over.. again. VERY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I went through the drive thru for tea with my mom. she does not like the tea bag because it gets all soggy and the stuff gets everywhere in the drink so we always get it without and when she gets home she puts her own tea bag in it. We get home and she sees it is coffee. I go right back and tell them it's coffee. and the manger said i was lying that i had put coffee into the cup. I said what why would i do that. I just want my tea correct. I waited for the tea standing there while the employees were talking how they never want me to come in there again cursing about me to eachother. I would think the register would calculate the change once the employee enters the product being bought. This Dunkin Donuts is always clean, and I am greeted every morning by a crew member that is kind and attentive to my order. Terrance and Emma are great, they remember my order and get it correct every visit. Erin and Monica are great as well. The other crew members all are very clean, say "Good Morning" and I even saw a young man give an older woman a random compliment on her nail polish color one day. It was so genuine and kind, that I was impressed. I drive to this Dunkin Donuts specifically because the people working there are so fabulous and the store is always clean. I love this DD location. I order unsweetened iced tea all the time. The tea is brewed correctly most of the time. The staff remembers us, and what we order. They are friendly, and have some really exceptionally good staff members that correctly prepare them. Coffee is always how I ask for it. Donuts are always fresh. When I go to some other DD locations in the area, for instance, by the train station, they are awful. The donuts are not always fresh, and the girls usually mess up my order, or they don't have something. The DD on Lakeland Avenue, Bohemia never has lemons. Weird. The Baskin Robbins is a nice addition as well. The parking is kind of limited, but I personally have always been able to get a spot. But this is the best DD in this area by far. And they have a cute little sitting area both inside and outside. read more

If I give this place no stars I would. I went in to order rite before work and upon entering I was greeted by a woman barista she said what can I get for you today with no smile or anything and I stated in a very clear firm voice 1 large French vanilla iced coffee with skim milk, light ice and sweet but not overly sweet. She than pursued to make my drink when she put the ice in the cup had I not been watching her make it because I just had a feeling that I had to watch her make it because I knew should would mess it up if I didn't and that she did she filled the cup up with ice all the way to the top and I had to scream across 3 different customers and state excuse me ms I said light ice and than she looked at me not evening saying I'm sorry and than put all the other ingredients in there she than handed me the drink as I was paying and she didn't even smile or say have a nice day or nothing. When I walked out and got in my car and than went to drink some of my iced coffee that ice coffee was the worst iced coffee I had in my life it was bitter,it had barely any milk, it wasn't sweet at all and it's not like I was able to turn around because I had to go to work I drank it anywhere because I only paid $3 and change for I and didn't want to waste my own money by not drinking it. But I must say i used to work for Starbucks and when you walk into a business you as the barista are supposed to be the face of the brand you are the brand not only are you the brand but you are supposed to smile and be friendly and make the customers drinks accurately and not let your own problems or even Work problems interfere with you doing your job and providing 110% great customer service. The only issue with this Dunkin' Donuts is that it doesn't have a drive-thru. Usually establishments with a young staff have service that is disappointing, but this location is always great and I'm always satisfied. Why is the air conditioner on when it is October in New York with a forecast of 63 degrees and rain?! The employees there are very nice except this one girl. I believe her name was Laurna. As I was getting severed my iced coffee (delicious by the way!,) she kept on asking 2 employees, I believe their names were Matthew and Charlie, who were both very kind, to go take out the trash as they were making my iced coffee.
