I went in to Dunkin' in need of a coffee after my workout and before a Dr's appointment and since it was right nearby I stopped. This place was fairly busy for the morning but let me tell you these girls were on top of it! Not only were they on it they were extremely pleasant and made my stop in a great addition to my morning. I even decided to get the kids a few donuts to bring home. This location was clean and inviting, not very big but I would go in and sit for a while I really felt comfortable. Parking isn't the best, a little tight but not so bad. They were helpful when I asked for my midnight coffee and were out, they improvised and told me that their regular coffee with a drop of espresso would make a similar coffee and in fact it was even better. Had a few extra moments so thought we'd grab a quick breakfast bite. Ordered the egg and cheese two for $2 wrap, and 10 munchkins, specifically stating "all chocolate". The cashier checked to make sure they had enough chocolates and verified she did before completing the order. Upon receiving the order, we also received hash browns which we did not order but were charged for, and received a mixed bag of munchkins, instead of the all chocolate. The egg wraps were a little soggy, and the munchkins seemed like they weren't terribly fresh, like they were the bottom of the bin. Will give them a second shot. Ordered via app for drive thru and immediately told the app I was due in the drive thru right away. I arrived about 5 minutes later. The order was simple & right off of their Dunkin' Run menu. These are items promoted like a $ menu would be, so they should be well stocked & ready to go. Actual order: 1 set of donut fries & 2 sets of the ham & cheese roll ups (please note that I said "sets" on the 2nd item because the menu item is actually TWO ham & cheese tortilla WRAPS) When I arrived, there was 1 car in lot & 2 in drive thru. Maximum cars for this lot is about 6, so I assume they mostly do drive thru orders. Great! Should be in and out. I pulled up when the car ahead of me left. No greeting after a couple of minutes, so I figured either speaker/microphone was down, or they were closed (it's after 6 on a Sunday, so it would be annoying that the app didn't alert me, but not a huge deal). I pull around & see a couple of cars in the lot now. Waited another min or so for someone to see me at the window and come greet me. He must have been just coming on shift, because the CSR looked in my direction through the (tinted drive thru) & went to the front register. I thought maybe drive thru registers were down too, or maybe there was someone standing there. Looked like he just did something quick on the computer (clocking in maybe?). About a minute later he makes his way to me. Politely asked if he could help me & I started to say I figured the speaker set up was down (vaguely gestured in the direction of the order board) & he just said they'd been busy (no "sorry," just busy). So, I gave him my name & he went back to get my order. I hadn't realized he didn't have his apron on until he picked one up & tied it (ok, probably was clocking in earlier), but I could see the completely blank order screen. The young man comes back with my rolls in a bag & says we're just waiting on the fries. Normally, that's good... fresher food...that's normally. Not today. I wanted the fries more, so I waited to open the bag (my mistake). Fries came a minute or so later (just in that sieve, no bag), followed by a handful of napkins. Never got a "sorry" for the delay or a "thank you" for patience, but he looks young and that's something many CSRs have to be taught. I did get the "have a nice day" before pulling out. Hopped on 75 & started the fries... They were withered & twisted and tasted like day old stock. I've worked for Domino's and I've had old CinnaBread and it takes HOURS to dry out like that. All I can figure is that they'd been out for a few hours & the time I was waiting for them was spent reheating them. Well, I'm on I-75, so I'm not turning around to complain. Next up the 2 sets of roll ups. Technically, there should be a total of 4 rolled up ham and cheese tortillas (2 each in those sleeves). Should be, but not. All together in one bag gives the impression there were 4. There were 2... folded ham and cheese tortillas. So, really, I got 2 ham and cheese quesadillas instead of 4 roll ups. Half the food. I had to check the menu to see if they even sell quesadillas. They do have "wraps" that look like that's basically what they are, so at least they're on the menu ‍. So, on the whole, food order was either missing 2 roll ups (or 2 quesadillas), should've been in separate sleeves (I could've been sharing), and the donut fries were really inedible. I actually threw those out when I got where I was headed. I ate the 1/2 order of unrolled roll ups. Wish I'd thought to take a picture. I can't give a zero rating, but I would. The only thing I could complain about is that there is no indication from the highway which direction the Dunkin is located. It's a chain. I hate chains as a rule of thumb, but that's 90% of the options we have here in Ocala. I stop at this DD every Friday; my children get donuts if they've behaved for the week. Every Friday, we have the type of good service you expect from an establishment. However, this Friday, the employees here at DD really went above and beyond. My two children and I went through the drive through, but this morning, my 4 year old asked for something quite different. He wanted a chocolate donut with strawberry frosting and sprinkles. There is no such thing. The amazing woman behind the speaker also explained this, although she said it sounded delicious. After again explaining DD doesn't make those kinds of donuts, the Amazing Voice said she would have it specially made and to drive around. And she did. The employees made a special new concoction for my young son. And the kindness spread and he even shared it with his brother on the way to school. You made a Little boy's day - and dare I say week. This location sucks. I don't understand how you can screw up an order that is so simple. On two separate occasions they fail to put caramel in my coffee and then when I say "this has no caramel in it" I'm asked by the staff "are you sure?" Also when I order a iced coffee I say "cream only" and sugar is still put into my coffee and then when I come back for it to be fixed the employee says to her co worker "I know that coffee doesn't have sugar in it" like ok so I'm imagining crunchy stuff in my mouth. Lately the frosted donuts with sprinkles have been pitiful, they literally have zero frosting on them and just sprinkles. I've tried to give them multiple chances but I'm just done. I work in customer service and I know it's no cake walk but learn to communicate effectively and admit if you're wrong. I stopped at this location multiple times and always got reasonable service until today. I went through the drive-thru and the first thing I was greeted with over the intercom was in a very displeasing voice "What are ya drinking!". All the other times and at other locations it is usually something like "Good Day, or Good Morning, or Hey hows it going, How can I help". So I wonder here if Dunkin is changing their approach to greeting to customers?? We placed our order, some coffees, breakfast item and some hash browns. It was not busy at all, in fact I was the only one there, yet they when I paid for my order the only thing that was barked at me was the total, no hello or thank Thank you. Then they made pull ahead for no apparent reason and I waited 20 minutes. Finally still no order and still I was the only one there, I pulled around and went to the drive-thru again and same friendly response "What ya drinking"? It turns out they were totally oblivious and unaware that I was just there minutes ago and had placed and paid for an order. It was the same person and yet they could not recall that they told me to pull ahead and wait. I had to give my order again and then when they gave it to me it was wrong. This is a such a great example of how poor customer service can be. And what is really sad and very apparent is the "I don't give a shit for this job or you " attitude! You would think that a place like this should not be happy with treating a customer like this let alone not even care that they are the main point of contact and representation of the business. There are other locations in Ocala and this encourages not to patronize this one. It also encourages me to tell of my experience to others and there are quite a few who get coffee and donuts. A Dunkin Donuts is a Dunkin Donuts when it comes to food. They are all created equal. Meanwhile, service and cleanliness does vary. This location was spotless at 5am when we arrived. And, the service couldn't be better. We ordered a lot of food early in the morning and the woman working solo - at the time - handled it all without any stress.
