We were driving back from Tampa and saw the sign for Cold Stone. As the one in our area had closed years ago, it seemed that a stop was in order. So many choices, so be prepared to take a minute to peruse your options. You can mix in any of their toppings with the flavor of your choice, or they have "suggestions" of mix-ins that create a themed treat. They put some plain ice cream on a metal slab...added the ingredients that we ordered, mixed it all together before putting it in a waffle cone or waffle 'bowl' Our only complaint: we ate at a table outside that needed cleaning...all the outside tables needed cleaning. read more

Maybe it's because I feel like I'm in a bad mood right now but eating this Ice cream was definitely the icing on the cake to the continuous downhill of my bad day already. This wasn't even a first choice. Dairy Queen was, but there was an issue so we of course settled. Nothing new, not a big deal. We get our ice cream and the cones we asked for look like they was just thrown in a bag. One of the cones even had a hole in the middle so how would that even be usable to put Ice cream in. 1 person asked for fudge and there was fudge in every one of our ice creams. Completely ruined the ice cream. If I wanted fudge I would've asked for it respectfully. I wouldn't have even been mad, complaining, if it quite literally was accidental. To the owner/ manager that posted a response, yes, I live in Ocala and visited the one in Ocala. Regarding gender, maybe I got it wrong. Hard to tell sometimes. Regardless, it was poor experience. Glad to see that management is checking Yelp when they should be answering the phone when their employees call... I received a gift card to Coldstone, and I went in to check how much money was on the card. I waited my turn in line for more than 15 minutes. I asked the cashier for help checking the gift card balance. Neither she nor the other employees knew how to check the balance. She repeatedly tried to contact her manager by phone-- apparently no manager onsite. I said forget it, I'll pay with cash. She insisted that it would only be a few more minutes. After waiting as they assisted other customers with no call back, she concluded that her manager was busy. She then said that I needed to make a purchase *before* she could see how much money that I had available?!? What happens if I didn't have enough on the gift card, and I didn't have cash? Thankfully I have cash. Thinking to myself: hopefully she knows how to swipe a gift card to apply against the order... I order a strawberry banana smoothie. The male worker says he needs to go to the back to check on ingredients. He comes back with no ingredients and asks me again for my order. I tell him my order. He goes into the back again, comes back, and says they are out of bananas. I asked if they are kidding and I suggest that they put up a sign that they are out of bananas or create an "86" board for employees to see when then are out of critical ingredients. I said forget it and walked out. If the customer service is so poor and management isn't concerned about supporting their employees and customers, I'm sure that the product that I would have received would be of the same substandard quality. read more

I placed an online order 4 days ago (and paid for) for pickup and I show up at the location and Shay looked for my order and it was not available. She called her manager on the phone, Jillian, GM and she tells her that my order is for pickup at 6:30pm and I have to wait for a ticket to print at 6:15 pm before I can get my order. It was 5:53pm. I never heard of waiting for a ticket in order to get an order that is already paid for. Next day I called to speak with a manager and Brian said she wouldn't be in until 5 PM. I then proceeded to ask him. When was my order completed and he told me last night. So when I called around 8 PM to speak with the manager, she was very rude, disrespectful and unhelpful. I went into the store and got the same results. I watched them get my order out of the same freezer that Shay checked yesterday and it was not in there. I don't understand why I had to make two trips to the same location to pickup my order that should have been given to me yesterday. I was not and have not been compensated for what I had to go through. This location do not have to worry about getting business from me or anyone else I know because I will be spreading the message. read more

Horrible service in Ocala tonight. The manager Genevieve was very RUDE!! She threw away our BIG CONE!! Because she did not want to put in a plastic cup what did not fit on the BIG CONE¡! That is all we wanted. So we could enjoy every bit of ice cream. She said she cannot do it!! We have been coming for over 15 years to this location. They have always done it. Unbelievable to throw away food. Not coming ever again. Also please have the employees put hair nets or at least hold their long hair with a band. I am still in shock!
