They always do me right. Never a long wait as they get their food out FAST. This is easily the best Dunkin I've been to.

Standard Dunkin on the main drag of Newark, DE, the home of the University of Delaware. Coffee decent. Donuts what you expect. Bigger than average sitting area with room for work and study. Front door is across the street from National Store, and the back door leads to a public parking lot. We went in and out using both access points. This was a fast visit to campus to pick up the son once the school decided to close due to the COVID-19 situation. Turned out that the next email from the administration advised that the dorms would be closed for the rest of the academic year, so we will return next week to vacate the remainder of his things and bring it all home. At least we now know where to buy the caffeine for the drive back to Bucks. Maybe a few sweets, too. read more

Food came out surprisingly quick (well made sandwich but only slightly above average Dunkin quality), and great staff. The guy at the counter was very nice and held a conversation for the whole time it took the food to come out, which was probably only a minute but still good customer service. read more

This is the dirtiest DD I've ever been in. I've been to the DD on Rt #40 near Peoples Plaza and even though they're super busy ALL the time, they keep the store clean. Floors are swept several times and the bathrooms are clean. No paper on the floor or messy sinks or counters. I saw donuts changed out after a few hours. Old donuts were thrown out assuming they were stale. Employees supported each other and didn't stand around chatting unlike the Main St DD employees. read more

Average Dunkin', the workers are very fast at getting orders out. I've never had a bad experience with this Dunkin' and my coffee has always been average but two of my friends complained about the taste of their coffees. Better than the Dunkin' in Perkins Student Center by far. read more

I happened to be at my eye doctor appt. and decided to pick up some donuts because the store was next door. What a waste of money! I asked for an Apple Fritter, my hubby said that was no apple fritter. The rest of the donuts were hard and tasted stale. I know what a fresh Dunkin Donut tastes like! This is just a typical Dunkin Donuts location with a Baskin Robins too. The thing I like most about this place is that it is open late at night...it's just about the only place other than bars that is open late at night, which sort of bothers me (I really miss the Eagle Diner and the Corner Diner), but I'm grateful that you can at least get a donut here after hours. I think as a chain, the Donuts from Dunkin are good, but not excellent. Nearly every independent donut shop I've been to has been better. I also think that their donuts could be healthier--they've phased out trans fat but they still use bleached flour and soybean oil. If I were making donuts, there's no question I'd use unbleached flour, and I'd work on finding better fats and oils to use. Soybean oil isn't the healthiest oil and I don't think it tastes particularly good either. With what I'm reading now, I'm starting to think that even pure lard may be healthier than some vegetable oils, although there are certainly better vegetable oils they could use. Dunkin also uses artificial flavorings in their donuts, and I think they could do without this--even with the artificial flavorings they don't taste top notch so I think they'd taste better if they went the all-natural route anyway. read more

The most efficient Dunkin' I've ever been to. The cashier was running multiple kiosks at the same time to make the line move faster. The employees were hustling, working together, and were very organized. Since this Dunkin' is near UD, I imagine they get very busy however I only had to wait about 1 minute for my latte and it came out perfect. The employees at this location deserve a raise. read more

Took so long to get me two wake up wraps that I got a parking ticket. Went in when it wasn't even busy, and then everyone after me got their food. And when I did get "my food" it wasn't even my order and had to go back in. Thanks dunkin.. learn how to run ur business better. read more

They suck I asked for a bacon and cheese no egg on a croissant and I got literally one piece of bacon and cheese and you guessed it egg. And when I try to order they don't even let me finish I hate it. I get that they're busy because you know, they're the only Dunkin in a college town but they need to get it together. read more

They deserve half a star at their absolute best. Absolutely terrible. I suggest firing the two, especially the woman, working the food prep area at this time for efficiency. This is an actual conversation that occurred during the 30 minute wait for them to grasp the concept of "two". I complained to the one white girl with a nose piercing (sorry for the identifiers, she's great) that I only received one of two sandwiches I ordered. She checked the order and pointed out that were supposed to be two sandwiches for my order. " There are two sandwiches here." "Yes, I only made one" replied the woman working food prep. "Why?" "I don't know." "The order was two." "Ok?" Food Prep woman proceeds to dispose of the one sandwich she made. She then makes a singular other sandwich and hands it to me. I then point out that, in fact, she only made one sandwich again. She then rudely asked: "This again, sir?" She then produced a second sandwich at long last, but not before dumping what I suspect is honey on one half of the sandwich for some reason. This second sandwich was still frozen. Now, I'm an ugly and reprehensible man so maybe that is why Food Prep at 10 AM Woman decided to give me particularly poor service. However, I've worked in the food industry as a manager. If I saw the inefficiency of the food prep station today in general I'd reprimand them, and if I saw an exchange similar to my experience I would have terminated the woman immediately. I might add that numerous other customers waited for lengthy times as well and had to correct the food prep area employees on their orders read more

Went there today and the 2 women working there were very nice/friendly and efficient. Great location and comfortable sitting area plus the green tea is a lot better/less acidic than Starbucks. I would of given a 5 Star except I wish that Dunkin Donuts would start offering more homemade healthy no calories ice tea options during the hot summer month like iced green tea or iced herbal hibiscus tea. read more

Literally the only reason to go here is if it is late and everywhere else is closed. Consider checking out any of the other amazing coffee places on main street. Side note: be careful if you are LGBT, last time I went here the manager practically followed me into the bathroom to tell me I needed to use the mens and then hid in the back to avoid apologizing after I told him I was a woman. read more

It is a very convenient location and I enjoy Dunkin as a chain. The service at this location though is continuously horrible. The employees don't want to be helping you, and they make that clear. I went here all of summer 2017. Literally every single morning from June to August and because the campus wasn't busy, they were fast and friendly. However, when the school year came around and they had new people working and were busier, I avoided this Dunkin' at all costs. Not only does the line get super long and they are too slow to keep up with it, the staff has no idea what they're doing and they're rude. Even ordering on the app isn't helpful here. I've waited 15 minutes in store even when I order on my phone before I left my house. The manager is the worst. So many other Dunkins in the area and so many other coffee shops I highly recommend NOT going here. read more

I don't normally go out of my way to write reviews but I just have to speak my mind on this one. I have worked in food service and retail so I understand what it is like dealing with the public but I don't think I've ever received worse service. I've gone here multiple times (only because there isn't any other ice cream places on Main Street) and I've had many bad experiences. Twice I have gone in and there has been no one at the counter. I had to yell to the back to get someone to come out and get me ice cream. The employee was not even apologetic for keeping me and the man in front of me waiting. We were waiting for at least ten minutes for him to come out and check to see if there were any customers. I thought it might be a fluke thing but the same thing happened again a few weeks ago. Then tonight, I went to get ice cream and had another bad experience. I said my order at least 3 times to another employee who didn't understand me (he didn't speak English well) and the other employee (who kept me waiting twice) told him my order. I didn't hear him repeat the order but when he charged me for the wrong item I told him what I actually wanted and he said I never said that. It would be one thing if he said "sorry I thought you said ___" but he blatantly said I told him a different order. I've worked at Bertucci's and Olive Garden and I would never accuse a customer of saying the wrong order even if they were wrong. In this case, I repeated my order 3 times so I now I didn't say shake instead of "Trick Oreo Treat with rainbow sprinkles." I have repeatedly gone to get ice cream here because there is no one else to go but I would rather go to 7 Eleven and get a pint then walk out feeling frustrated. It isn't worth it to support a business that gives poor service and isn't nice to their customers. read more

The guy who works here is a cheat. He purposely 'doesn't quite understand' what you ordered so that he can serve you something else and charge you more. This is the second time this has happened. I said, "kid's cone". He said, "single scoop?" even though there is only 1 price for a kid's cone and I wanted the smallest amount of ice cream possible. So he puts a large single scoop into a cup, and charged me a dollar more. He pretends not to know English so he can rip people off. So sad. Go elsewhere. Also, the first bite was good, but the ice cream had way too many nuts in it for me and I ended up throwing half of it away. You know, because I didn't want that much to begin with! I'm not sure why the 3 reviews that are not currently reccomended are like that. They say the same thing. You can get ice cream and pastries with great service at posted prices very nearby in a few locations. Just use Yelp to lead you to a better experience! read more

A very substandard place. It's good for your doughnuts, but the coffee is iffy at best, and every time I get a sandwich there, it's cooked to being either hard or rubbery. I love Dunkin Donuts, just not this one. It's good for icecream, though. read more

This is probably the worst Dunkin Donuts I have ever been to. The employees are extremely rude, and the food is terrible. I have routinely gotten burnt bagels and stale coffee from this place. The only reason they are popular is due to its location. I would highly recommend going somewhere else for coffee/ice cream. read more
