My bagel and coffee were right on point, The problem here is the management and the ambiance compared to other Dunkins. Let me first say that I ordered a toasted multigrain bagel with extra cream cheese and it was cooked to perfection honestly. I know it doesn't sound like a big deal, but you would be surprised how many Dunkins get this wrong. Sometimes the bagel doesn't get toasted. They rarely get the right amount of cream cheese on there. So I was very happy about the food. Next the coffee was perfect, brewed right and I asked for extra cream and it came with exactly the right amount. So to be clear the food here for my experience was great. The problem is everything else unfortunately. And I would really like to raise this place to at least three stars. First of all when you walk into the stone, you feel like it's an older Dunkin' Donuts. The interior is plain walls with a strange assortment of random tables. There is one round table that seats four that is taller than the other four tables that seat two. Just kind of thrown around the floor. There is no merchandise for sale. You don't get that typical warm Dunkin' Donuts vibe/energy. I went to go add sugar to my coffee and was startled to find that there were no sugar packets in the condiment stand. How can that be? Not a single packet. Plenty of the other sweeteners. In their defense a manager brought them to me as fast as possible when I complained. But just not sure how that could happen in the first place. The servers were friendly but absolutely no spark in their eyes at all. Almost like the walking dead. But not rude, they took my order and made really good food for me. But I could only imagine what would happen during rush hours here. I definitely recommend this Dunkin location because the food and coffee are up to par and excellent! Would really like to see this location upgrade itself in terms of a more modernized interior, better management and a sharper staff to match most of the others. Second time at Dunkin Donuts located at 3701 Rt 33 Neptune NJ. Have not been there in year but observed that it is now being ran by Indians. Picked up 2 Wake up Wraps in the drive through which were very soft and doughy, so I returned to the store and told them and returned the product which was not consumed. honestly super disappointed in the matcha lattes here lately. I've gotten them here specifically before because they tasted really good, not to powdery or bitter but sweet and creamy. it wasn't until a couple weeks ago that they taste sour ! at first I thought it could've been some bad milk or a machine wasn't clean but i called the manager and they told me nothing was wrong however they issued me a refund. I have been patronizing this particular DD for well over five years now and have always noticed one consistent thing. The employees who work there have invariably displayed cantankerous and overall disgusting attitudes towards customers, as well as toward their fellow co-workers. I just figured that this DD was an unmistakable magnet for people who simply hated their jobs. In fact, the turnover rate has been so significant that I had simply given up on trying to remember everyone's name. But the one unequivocal name I have remembered throughout my DD sojourns, is that of Amber. Amber is the current manager there. When I first visited this DD five years ago, Amber was the assistant manager. She worked under the manager, an older woman whose name escapes me at the moment. Amber would unfailingly complain to anyone who would listen about how unhappy her manager made her feel and how toxic of a work environment said manager habitually cultivated. One day I heard Amber state how she wanted to seek employment elsewhere because of the hostile work environment at DD. A few days later she was conspicuously absent from her assistant manager position. I subsequently walked into the Wawa located directly across the street from this DD and saw Amber wearing a Wawa shirt while being trained by another Wawa employee. I said hello to her and she informed me that she quit DD because of that manager she resented. She followed up that sentiment by spewing some unpalatable criticism candidly describing her time spent at DD. She convinced me that she was in a better place now. Within a few months, that DD manager was inexplicably gone, along with several of the regular employees. I saw a bunch of fresh faces and heard chatter that Amber would shortly return. Within a brief period of time Amber was again working at that DD. I never had an unpleasant experience with Amber, that is, until 3:10 this afternoon. While waiting on line to place my order I noticed that Amber was rather terse and outright ill-mannered towards the customers in front of me. When it was my turn to order I said hello and she did not respond at all. I then went ahead and placed my order and she didn't even make eye contact with me, nor did she acknowledge me with a simple smile. She didn't even say thank you to me or to any other customer while I was there. I felt indignant by Amber's discourteous and significantly impolite disposition and vowed to myself to never return there. Instead, I will give my business to a DD that truly deserves my business, the one that's actually closer to my residence, the DD in Asbury Park. To the franchise owner of this offending DD in Neptune, I am reminded of a powerful quotation from Sam Walton, Walmart's erudite founder. "There is only one boss: the customer. Decided to stop here for some food before I hit the road for a 6 hour drive and all I can say is starting my day being yelled at by an employee in the drive-thru was just not it. First I was greeted with "what you want?" when I pulled up to the speaker. I ordered two things, a wake up wrap and an iced coffee with one cream. I was interrupted before I even finished my sentence, being asked if that's it. She continuously guessed my order, as I was saying "just two egg and cheese wake up wraps" she interrupted with on a bagel? On an English muffin? in a very annoyed tone before I could even finish the sentence. Happened again as I was ordering my coffee, and I just asked her politely if I could finish my order as I was sick of being interrupted. That was not well taken as I was yelled at that someone else could take my order and then her coworker came on the speaker and took the rest of my order. As I was rolling up my window and and still sitting next to the speaker since the line wasn't moving, I could hear them arguing about her attitude for a good 2 mins, which is probably why the line wasn't moving. By far worst Dunkin experience I've ever had. I am reminded why I never go to Dunkin once again. Running in before work, I'm the only one in the shop. The employee sitting behind the counter on her phone on FaceTime. Speaking loudly and unprofessionally. The entire time cleaning and wiping her nose. After waiting a few minutes I say "excuse me, are you guys open?" I received no response so I assumed she didn't hear me which is even worst. If you need to take a phone call at your place of work at least keep the door in your line of sight for when customers walk in and where you can hear them. So after a few more minutes she looks up and says "oh my god" and hangs up the phone. As she walks towards me putting her mask on she than apologizes. Doesn't wash her hands or sanitizes or anything. At this point I'm annoyed and disgusted. I begin to ask her about different latter flavors asking if they had them in stock as she than proceeds to tell me the "latte" machine is broken. I asked her what she had available and she says "regular coffee" so I said nevermind and walked out. 1. I don't believe her, if your espresso machine was out of order there would be a sign up. The iced latte I ordered looked completely white and tasted like plain milk. When I told the employee about the issue, her response was, "You know a latte is just milk and espresso right?" The one she remade for me did not taste much different from the first one. My boyfriend's latte just tasted like sugary milk as well. This is right on my way to work so I stop here everyday for coffee , however nine out of 10 times there's always something wrong with my coffee and which I usually just keep to myself and I just ignore that they're making my coffee Wrong. The service is so bad, the employees are rude they could care less about who you are what you say they literally will like throw whatever you ordered at you without saying anything. They are not apologetic when they do make a mistake that I need fixed like if my food is wrong. I have never had a problem with the service at this location until day. It takes a lot for me to post a negative review. We walked in and there were customers waiting for the food, but no one in line. The employees were laughing and having a grand time...which was nice to hear until I realized no one was getting service because of it. My father and I stood in line for awhile...while 2 different employees walked by, looked at us, and kept walking. As time and the laughter continued, more people were waiting in line behind us and still no service. I rang the service bell (which I have never done in my life), and finally I hear "oh did you ring a bell? Who rang a bell?" Finally about a minute later they realized there must be customers. At which I basically got "what did you want" as my greeting, no apology, nothing. I will still be going to this location but I was disappointed in the lack of service today. read more
