For real this is the way I received my $6 coffee and was told it was too dark and no coffee could be added. Ok m over this place and the little meatball behind the counter.

In my travels I'm always looking for a good cuppa joe. If I'm traveling with someone and they ask to stop at a coffee chain, I laugh as I drive past those places in search for a more artisan establishment. After 3pm I want a double macchiato and its not being served at those dopey chains. Macchiato means marked in Italian, so lets get out the Sharpie and mark my coffee spot on the shores of New Jersey. The Yelp app is bringing me to Rook Coffee. I pull up into a nice looking strip of stores. There are cement benches (covered in snow), large flower pots, it seems like a nice place to shop and sip some java. Walking inside is another story. Everything is roped off. There are no tables inside so no sitting, no standing, no touching, no nothing. Order your coffee and GTFO! While I'm looking, I see there are different brews available like guatemala coffee as well as New Orleans style cold brew? I ordered a cup of Guatemala, wow! A bold, fresh and rich taste. Rook Coffee is the goods! I came back the next day to try their Cold brew, Nawleans style. They nailed it, I had to buy a bottle to bring back to my home. It's so good to see a business that is serious about offering a great product. Rook Coffee, being from out of state, it was a pleasure to try your coffee.

This is pour over coffee, which I feel is better than espresso machine coffee shops. The staff is friendly and professional and of course the coffee is good.

It seems no matter how I order coffee at Rook, they find a way to give me a cup that isn't full. The cup in this picture was ordered with a little half and half. And this is how full it came. I asked if I ordered it black if it would be filled to the top, and they said it would be. So I got a cup that's less full because I asked for half and half? This kind of shorting has happened to me time and time again at multiple Rook locations Hopefully Rook will learn that businesses like Starbucks became Starbucks because they didn't do this kind of nickel and dime stuff. They gave out free drinks when people were unhappy and they started with fantastic customer service. When you ask for light ice at Starbucks, you don't get a cup that's half full. It's just bad service and disrespectful to your customers, even if some will try to take advantage. Dear Rook - It's not just about having good coffee.

Cloud Nine is excellent. It has a chocolate, nutty, and sweet taste. A definite reorder.

Text in your order or come in. Fast and friendly service. Excellent coffee!! No espresso beverages. They have hot and cold brewed coffee. Hot chocolate, muffins and health bars. Need a mug, brew cup, traveling mugs, clothes, reusable straws, cozis, pens and stickers? They've got them. No seats available but you can go next door for a bagel or pizza on the other side of Rooks.

Tried the pumpkin spice cold brew, simple and tasty. The orders were a bit backed up this day but the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Rook coffee is an excellent place for great coffee. I'm big on their New Orleans style cold brew with almond milk. It'll make you go mmmmm.... It's a small place, so there isn't any seating, really. The best thing to do is take the coffee to go and head on over to Delicious Orchards next store. You'll be able to pair your beautifully made coffee with some baked goods. The coffee will make you smile, while also caffeinating your tired body. Rook has some really cool merch, too.

the coffee was AMAZING. the girl working at the register was so sweet and knowledgeable on the different things they had. the merchandise was so cute as well. very cute atmosphere. the coffee was decently priced for what you get and for how good it was! will be going back here if we are ever in the area again!

New Orleans cold brew, sooo goood

I've always wanted to try their coffee and luckily I was in the area so I finally tried it. The place is not that big but they also have outdoor seatings. Menu is very limited but I bet all of it is good. I tried the New Orleans cold brew(dark roast) and it's sooo good! They put just enough cream/milk and you can taste the coffee unlike other places where you can taste more milk than the coffee itself. And the girl at the counter was very helpful on the differences of the coffee they serve. I just wish I lived closer coz for sure I'll be here everyday lol!

Rook Coffee is truly the place to go for a reliable cup of coffee. At so many of these chain coffee shops I find myself ordering a delicious drink once and then when I go to order it again, it tastes different and is not nearly as good. That is not at all the case with Rook. My "latte style" iced coffee with milk is ALWAYS made to perfection. It's so delicious and strong but does not require any sweetener. By far my favorite coffee drink.

Almost an inch from the top!?

It feels a bit more style over substance in my opinion. Let's start with the positives first! The place itself is very stylish, and we loved the holiday decor! Honestly, just walking towards the building felt like you were being transported into a mini Christmas village. The menu is vast and looks enticing. The place has a great vibe, with a good amount of seating (indoor & outdoor). Definitely makes for a great meeting and study spot! Now onto food and drinks...the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Frappuccino was not good. It was so overrun with cinnamon, you could see the chunks throughout the drink. I love cinnamon, but that's all you tasted and not in a good way. We barely got through it. The serving was large considering the $8 price tag, but the quality was just not there. The pistachio latte was definitely a bit better, but not great. You could taste that bottled syrup flavor and it just wasn't done right. The pistachio croissant was decent. Definitely fresh, with a nice, soft texture, but the Pistachio frosting was super sweet! I think I probably would have preferred it plain. The place definitely has potential, so if they can up their drink game a bit, I'd be open to possibly giving it another go!

I wasn't sure what to get so they gave some recommendations and ways I could customize my order with chicken vs. falafel. We ordered the Devito cutlet sandwich, the Greek Freak with chicken, the snickerdoodle latte, and the pumpkin spice latte. Everything was made pretty fast and it all was fresh and delicious. You can tell it's all fresh and homemade which is always so nice to have. I would definitely come back here and maybe even try a different location. There isn't any place to sit and sip your drinks, but instead of sitting, you can take your latte for a stroll around the shop. This seems like a great place for stocking stuffers and gifts. They have lotions, soaps, candles, holiday decor pieces, ornaments. All things that everyone loves to receive and rarely buys for themselves. There were plenty of spots on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm. When you enter you go through these giant barn doors. The inside is a lot of fall decor with candles, bakeware, kitchen towels, all the cute home stuff that makes your house extra cozy for fall. They also have a little coffee area too but I had already gotten coffee earlier so I didn't order any. Although everything was super cute, it was also a bit pricey so I unfortunately only bought some lotion which was really moisturizing and smelled AMAZING. Something I really liked is that you could sample most of the lotions and sprays so although I didn't buy them, I could at least try them out. If you go through the back exit, you enter the farm portion with a little pumpkin patch, donkeys, and sheep! There were a few places for "photo ops" too. If you walk further there's actually a little garden/flower field which was really nice to walk around and take pictures. You couldn't pick any flowers at this time but maybe we could've earlier in the season in the summer. This was a cute little farm that I would come back to for another season to see how they change it up. Although some of the items were pricier I would come back to get something as a gift. I think there's a lot of nice stuff to give for a housewarming and it's good quality too.
