This is my vibe. The ambiance is perfect - homey, artsy with a small town feel. Even the customers ranged from the cutest little grannies having a gal date to parents enjoying brunch with their children to people working on their laptops to friends just catching up over lattes. It really just checked all the boxes for me for perfect coffee spot that welcomed everyone. I had their burrata toast with avocado and it was *chef's kiss.* Perfectly flavorful and beautifully presented. The caramel machiatto was wonderful as well. I was debating getting a guava croissant and my thought was to grab it on the way out, but they were all out by the time I was ready to leave :( just another excuse to visit again sooner though. After having coffee at another spot, this one popped up on my Yelp app. It was only 5 minutes away and seeing how fricken cool the photos were, I had to check it out. I can handle two cups of coffee back to back. Lol. Interior space is small but cozy. Love the comic vibes at the coffee bar seating. Totally dig the modern art decor throughout as well. Staff was friendly from start to finish. I'm always on the lookout for a good Golden latte (turmeric) and this is what I got as soon as I saw it on the menu. I ordered it with oat milk. As soon as I took a sip, I was like yesss!! It is exactly how I like it, it has that slight gingery and black pepper profile. Candelaria has become one of my new favorite coffee shops! I recently visited and ordered an iced mocha. The chocolate sauce was well integrated into the drink and the ratio of sweet and milky was just right. I also had a bite of their cosmic brownie cake pop. One of my favorite cake pops I've ever tried, and it was super cute! The interior of this place is cozy and really well decorated. While I didn't get the chance to sit down, I definitely would in the future. The service was also quick and friendly. read more

Adorably decorated with exposed brick and quirky art. It was very busy on a Sunday morning. We had a classic cappuccino and latte which were both well done. We also had the Serrano and berry toast, burrata and tomato toast, and almond croissant. Each was chef's kiss. The croissant was light and flaky and crunchy. The berry and Serrano toast was on an English muffin and the mint on top was surprisingly perfect. The burrata toast was on a grainy bread and was simply tasty! I decided to wake up this morning and take a 45-minute drive to this café that I came across on Instagram last week. I must say, it was absolutely worth the trip. I was very pleased with the place. The vibes and overall atmosphere were very pleasant, and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming.They offer a great variety of sandwiches and toasts. We tried the egg and avocado toast as well as the brie, apple, and prosciutto sandwich, both were amazing and beautifully presented. My friend and I last minute decided to grab coffee locally and found this spot on here to check out. The coffee shop has such a cozy vibe, warm and inviting. We went in the middle of the week and was surprised many tables and chairs were occupied - which is a great thing! Upon entering I noticed a very nice area to sit and drink your coffee. If you want to splurge on coffee this is the place to go, one iced caramel macchiato 14 oz is about 6 bucks , and vanilla iced latte is 7 bucks. The prices on the menu weren't there so you have to ask how much it is beforehand. The customer service is good it took a while for our coffee to be made but overall the coffee was good 5/10 , definitely pricey read more

I would give 3.5 stars but I'm rounding up because the service was nice. We ordered a matcha latte and a latte, and were pleased to find they don't charge for alternative milks. I wish all places did this! We also got an avocado toast. I had to go back to the register because he gave me the wrong changed but he was very nice about it. The avocado toast was good, the bread was perfectly toasted, not too soft or too hard. The lattes could be improved upon--there was quite a lot of foam in both, and they were very light in weight, more like a cappuccino. We also ordered everything to stay, but they gave us to go cups despite having mugs on top of their espresso machine. A bit disappointing as we try to me less waste when possible. read more

I love trying new coffee shops and decided to try this place. It was super cute inside a very cozy vibe and the staff was extremely nice. It seems like the type of coffee shop with many regulars. The food was amazing! It tasted super fresh and delicious. I also grabbed an iced coffee when I came in. I didn't like the coffee. I'm very big on a sweeter side of coffee and this coffee was definitely more bitter and almost millennial like if I had to say. Like for grown-ups. This is not definitely not like one of those café spots for teenagers. I would say more for millennials. I mean, the food was amazing though. I'm 100% coming back to grab a sandwich, but definitely not a coffee. It was definitely my fault though that I didn't like the coffee I could've added sugar, but I chose not to because I like testing out every place with a very basic latte. If you like a plain stronger coffee, I would recommend this place. Overall, the vibes are nice, the staff is nice and the food is good. It's just the coffee wasn't my thing. Only bad thing I have received was their hot chocolate; it was watery and powdered. Food is simple but delicious. Again very balanced in flavor and filling. Mostly sandwiches and salads. As for the vibe of this cafe. I love how it's broken into sections. You can have a group of people in a crowded cafe and yet feel very private. This would have been a five-star review for a superb drip coffee and a perfect vanilla latte--as well as for a pleasant and charming establishment, although the setting isn't particularly nice--but... I bought a bag of Devocion coffee to go and really should have checked the roasting date. It's 3 months old. For such good coffee you maybe wait a couple of weeks or up to a month after the roasting date to brew it up... But there's no way in a hell a coffee place good enough to serve Devocion should be selling bags past 6 weeks. Okay, maybe 8. 12, no. Unfortunately I don't live nearby and can't return it. Anyway, highest recommendation but check the date on any bags you buy to take home. read more

Very nice atmosphere. Small but boasts plenty of seating, with very nice decor (faux grass/plant, modern furniture). The service was great. I ordered a mocha and lunch to-go and I was in-out in under 10 min. The kitchen seems to move quick but produces quality food. It was a little expensive for my taste but I'm overall satisfied with the experience. There are a lot of good cafes out there and this is one of the ones worth trying. This hidden gem of a coffee, lunch spot is truly a wonderful addition to Matawan. All the coffees that I have tried there are smooth and delicious. Never over roasted or burnt tasting like the other large coffee chain . So far, my favorite was the iced shaken cortado. It is double shot espresso with oatmilk and a touch of sweetened condense milk, I subbed the oatmilk for regular milk. I also had th Apple, brie and prosciutto on multigrain. Again, it's delicious.
