Chocolate frosted donut and oat milk latte

Came here on a Saturday morning. Great view of the waterfront. Ordered a chocolate frosted donut, and it was delicious. The workers there said that all the pastries are baked in house except for the bagels oat milk latte was solid as well

Maybe I came at the wrong time of day (mid-afternoon, so certainly a possibility), but I just wasn't that impressed with this place. My Millennial Chum and I stopped by this past Saturday after a mediocre lunch down the street, hoping to redeem our palates with something sweet (and I'm always a strong proponent of drinking my calories if given the opportunity). Beyond the actual coffee, the environment within a coffeehouse to me is almost as important. And to be honest, I was a little uncomfortable in here. It was SUPER quiet when we walked in; you could literally hear a pin drop. I don't need to feel like I'm in a nightclub or anything, but some light ambience music would have helped. There were a solid handful of customers in there, and I felt like I had to whisper because it was that silent. It was like being late to a church service or something. Beyond that (and my chum disagreed with me about this, so I'd be curious about other opinions), it smelled musty, like a consignment shop. At the very least you'd expect the smell of freshly made coffee. Odd. Again, maybe it was just bad timing? I ordered a double shot toasted marshmallow latte with skim milk, and the Millennial Chum got an iced caramel macchiato. Mine was okay - it didn't have much of a kick to it, and the flavor was a little overwhelming. The flavor though is on me; ideally I like lavender in my lattes, which they didn't presently have in stock (though the guy behind the counter assured me it was on its way) so I tried something new for the first and last time. The Millennial Chum did not like her drink, claiming it wasn't actually a macchiato. To be fair though, she's a classic high maintenance Starbucks disciple and this is not the first time she's had this type of issue at a mom-and-pop coffee establishment. On the positive side, the service was excellent. The people behind the counter were very helpful/accommodating, and just super personable. My chum loved their complaint department joke display at the counter, which resulted in a conversation about its back story (and her insisting that I take a picture of it - enjoy). Very nice people, and because of that, I'd be willing to come back at a different time of day to try something else. The intangibles are there for sure.

Me and my coffee addiction seek out independent coffee shops and Keyport Coffee Cafe is my new love. Why? Because it hits all the notes for me. First, the coffee is fabulous, strong, smooth, and rich. The regular coffee, the espresso, the cold brew, and the nitro, you won't go wrong with any of them. Next is the food. The breakfast sandwiches are hearty and delicious. My bacon, egg, & cheese on a croissant wasn't skimpy, it was generously filled, and filling! They also offer lunch sandwiches, muffins, croissants, huge doughnuts, very large cookies, various pastries & even cake pops! It's a tough decision when all the pastries are on display, because everything is so tempting. The Cafe is comfortable with several different seating groups, from a table with chairs to a cozy sofa. Then there is the staff, friendly, welcoming, and just nice! I also like that the Cafe opens early each day at 7am so that I can get my fix early in the day, and if I need an afternoon pick-me-up, they're open until 5pm. As I'm finishing up my afternoon cold brew, I'm already contemplating my next visit and order...seriously, Keyport Coffee Cafe is the bomb!

A welcome new business to the Keyport community, which has residents excited. The Keyport Coffee Cafe has fantastic tasting coffee. Hot brewed, cold brew, teas, delicious coffee lates, dessert coffees and so much more. This cafe is more than just coffee, with their homemade baked goods, daily soup specials and yummy food. A great place to stop by for coffee or food. Everything is homemade and made with love. You won't be disappointed with your visit. Welcome to Keyport!

Great coffee! We even came back to buy a pound of ground coffee for at home. The nitro sweet cream cold brew was phenomenal.

I can handle two cups of coffee back to back. Lol. Interior space is small but cozy. Love the comic vibes at the coffee bar seating. Totally dig the modern art decor throughout as well. Staff was friendly from start to finish. I'm always on the lookout for a good Golden latte (turmeric) and this is what I got as soon as I saw it on the menu. I ordered it with oat milk. As soon as I took a sip, I was like yesss!! It is exactly how I like it, it has that slight gingery and black pepper profile. Their sandwiches look delicious and I will definitely try one on my next visit. There is a small parking lot around the back.

This is to report a serious health and sanitation concern…read more On Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 12:26 PM, I was inside the establishment when I observed a roach crawling on the wall. An employee, who appeared to be the manager on duty (as she was older and seemed to be overseeing the shift), attempted to kill the roach. When she grabbed it with a napkin, the roach fell onto the table. The employee then killed the roach and disinfected the table. However, this same employee had taken my order and continued handling service immediately after the incident. The food was served, but none of it was consumed due to the health concern. There was one other younger employee present, but they were not involved in the incident. Camera footage should confirm this event, as it would show the employee killing something on the wall during this time. Due to the seriousness of the situation, I also contacted the Health Department to report this incident.

Having dined at other Noches locations…read more(Dover, which has closed and I was not crazy about their overcooked food) and Belleville/Bloomfield, which was very good. I decided to give this one a try. I finally broke down and stopped in for lunch on Saturday March 8. The place wasn't crowded. It's a bit spacious but not many tables. My first thought was that it would be hard to get a table at dinner time. I was seated immediately and my order came right away. The server was very seeet and friendly and always checked on me. I ordered a paellita noches with black beans as well as tostones (fried green plantains) I received the paellita that came with maduros (fried sweet plantains). I ordered black beans but Instead I got red beans. I let it go. The paellita was good and a huge portion. I had to take half home. I didn't care for the red beans. They were a bit tasteless. The tostones were bland and a bit too greasy. I added salt and dipped them in the beans. (I'm PR and we add salt as soon as the fried plantains come out the fryer so that it sticks or serve it with mojo). Tostones do not taste good bland. I may go again and try some different items, skip the tostones and make sure that I get my black beans. I'll update this review depending on my experience when I return.
