Pechuga a la plancha

Was in the mood for sandwich and decided to come here for lunch. The staff was friendly and quick to take my order. Inside was spacious and clean with plenty of available seating. There is a wall with nice floral designs for anybody wanting to take a picture with. I ordered the sandwich de pechuga a la Plancha (grilled chicken with pepper jack) with fries. Their chicken was not flavorful, and the fries were also not crispy to my liking. Overall, the food was average.

While visiting family in Hazlet, NJ, they suggested a great Colombian restaurant they've been to several times. They raved about how great it is. Hubby & I checked out the menu and it looked great. We chose this since we normally do Italian when we visit. Upon arrival, (forgot to take outside pic...super cold) there were two people chilling by the Christmas tree and a couple eating in the dining area. The inside is spacious, clean, and inviting. There's a small refrigerated case with sodas, bottled water, and a few Latin drinks. There's a bakery case and dessert case. They also serve breakfast and have a fresh orange juice maker. We were a party of 6, so they pushed some tables together for us and took our drink orders. I ordered the cherry lemonade...tasty!! I decided on the whole red snapper for my meal! YUMMM!!! It came with two sides and I chose tostones and black beans. Our table ordered no appetizers and we had 4 other different entrees. At this point the other only customers had left. It took 48-55min for our food to come out and that was after asking what the hold up was; our friends said it didn't usually take this long on a crowded night. The manager's response was they only had 2 cooks. Unfortunately, that was the beginning of the downfall (after my husband was given flat soda; opted to get a canned drink to ensure it's not flat). Two orders of the black beans were room temperature. One item, ordered on a regular, was not good at all, the chorizo in another dish was also cold. The "manager" only listened, wasn't apologetic or thought to make any suggestions on how to fix the issues. It was a complete embarrassment for our friends because they talked the place up and had been there several times. I have two stars for this location due to the lack of skillful communication by a manager, slow service when we were the only ones to be served, serving cold food, unwillingness to make errors right automatically (and without having to be promoted/suggested by the customer) to keep the customers happy, lack of enthusiasm and appreciation of having customers. I would go back to this chain of restaurants, but just in another location.

What a wonderful addition to 35 in the Hazlet area! This location even has a drive through. I am almost certain that every Noches De Colombia restaurant cooks a little different. At this location, I had a beef empanada and bistec con arroz y frijoles. I would have liked the beef in the empanada to be seasoned more as well as the bistec in my main entree. The bistec tasted like they had made bistec encebollado in the same cooking instrument right before cooking my bistec. It also didn't look appetizing but tasted better than it looked. Of course I will eat at this establishment multiple times and will try something different. Perhaps a nice entraña steak.

So happy to see them finally open in Monmouth County! This location is spacious and the staff is super friendly. Stopped in to pickup an assortment of pastries, it was hard to choose from all the different options. The mini fried empanadas were delicious. Definitely going back again for breakfast/lunch/dinner! PS. They even have a drive through!

I noticed all tables were set and had additional wine bottles and Saratoga water bottles. A great touch. As we sat, the "menu" was provided and when you open it it's an iPad. Amazing and you know that this place does not skip out on budget hahha. As you scroll through they have great images and selections that are categorized accordingly, I appreciated that. We ordered the chicharron civeche coz why not? Never had it and had to try it. Uh-mazing! The flavor, the texture, the combination of sauces. 10/10. Then we ordered the Colombian meat platter for 2. Again, amazing! The skirt steak, sausage, chicken, and pork all were cooked to perfection. Not dry, not bland... it was delicious! Our servers were also amazing and attentive. They came to our table enough to check in but not annoying. Very nice and friendly! Overall, I see why this is another gem in town. Check them out and support!

The front room has music some nights and can be noisy, but the back rooms are quiet and service there is impeccable. On our last visit, our server overheard us talking about this meal being for our wedding anniversary. After our main course was cleared, we were presented with a dessert on the house. The plate read, in chocolate sauce, "Happy Anniversary" and was a lovely way to end the meal. MilIna has replaced our NYC go-to steakhouse. Great food and service, close to home.

Maybe I expected more because I like Mexican and Thai food, but went into it with an open mind. It was clear that a lot of local Latinas went there, and that is a good sign that it fits the cultural expectation. So if you are Latina and know what to expect it is a good restaurant to try

The location was packed and had a good vibe, and we only had to wait five minutes or so for a table. For a drink I got a Jugo de Lulo, a favorite of mine when I travel to Colombia, and it tasted nice, but seemed a little small compared to those I've had in other Colombian places. We ordered empanadas. My first empanada was not freshly cooked and lacked the snap in the masa that comes when it's right out of the fryer. Instead, the masa was rubbery and cool. The other empanadas and my second one were fine, so they'd unloaded an old one on us with our order. Since my wife got the Bandeja Paisa, and I knew I'd end up helping her to finish it off (the plate was typically massive) I ordered from the arepa menu and got an arepa with shrimp. It looked underwhelming on delivery as it was lacking the style and topping shown in the photo. It tasted fine, but wasn't anything special at all. The third member of our party ordered the shrimp and squid in cream, which she enjoyed. Then the staff got annoying when they tried to clear our plates away while we were still eating. We asked them to wait until we were all finished, but two minutes later we had to stop them again. They were literally trying to grab the plate in front of me while I was moving some of my wife's bandeja paisa to it. Finally, we asked for a takeout box, and they were hovering over the table waiting to clear it and actually started as I was loading the takeout box. It was as if they couldn't get us out of there fast enough. After all that, we couldn't get out of there fast enough either. FYI, be advised that tips were included in the bill even for our three-person party. It wasn't mentioned, but it was on the bill when we reviewed it before paying.

Started out with coconut lemonade and a blood sausage appetizer that came with 2 mini arepas. It was our first time trying blood sausage and we were happy we did! Casing had a nice char and snap to it. Filling was well seasoned and delicious. Arepitas were light, crispy and had a very good sweet corn taste to them. Coconut lemonade was slightly tart which is how I like it and also had a sweet coconut finish to it. I would definitely order it again. For the entree we shared the Parradilla Milina Marinera which came with grilled steak, chicken, pork loin, shrimp and salted fried plantains. We added rice and beans. Grill taste on everything was terrific! Meats were tender and flavorful. Rice and beans were ok. They had free dessert for Mother's Day so my wife ordered chocolate cake which was delicious. The chicken empanada was also good. However, the CANASTICAS (3) DE TOSTONES RELLENOS appetizer was disappointing. It was $10 for three tiny cups, which was not what we expected. It wasn't worth the price, and we could barely taste any plantain. I accepted the conclusion. We also ordered a side of FRIED PLANTIANS (tostones). We received only three pieces, and they were extremely thin--so thin they could bend like taco shells. They were not the traditional thick, crispy tostones we expected. My husband's BANDEJA PAISA was also disappointing. The chicharrón was thin, hard, and difficult to chew. The steak was thin but good. The beans- good. Sausage-ok. A lot of rice on the plate. Then the receipt came with an automatic 18% gratuity. We don't recall seeing this noted on the menu, although it may have been listed somewhere. We were only a party of two, so we were surprised to see an automatic gratuity added. Be sure to check your bill carefully so you don't accidentally leave an extra tip. Overall, the food and value did not meet our expectations. It's simply not for us, though it may match other people's expectations, and that's okay.

We've been coming here since the pandemic -- they opened just a week before lockdown, and we supported them with takeout back then. Once we were able to dine in, we've been coming back nonstop ever since. At first, I thought it was going to be like other empanadas that I've tried which have a crispy shell however these empanadas are similar in a way, but are very different in texture. These empanadas are a bit softer on the outside and have a denser inside filling which include potatoes and beef and it was quite delicious.
