The shop was very clean and smelled delicious the moment you walk through the door. The lady working the counter greeted me the moment I walked in. I told her it was my first time visiting, and she welcomed me, asking if I had any questions. I asked for her recommendations, and she gave me a few of her favorites. I will be very honest, I am typically a Krispy Kreme or Country Style Donuts kind of guy. I don't step outside of those realms. I am very particular about my donuts. However, I am so glad I stopped by here. I ordered the Raspberry Truffle and Blueberry Cheesecake (I think). The donut was very, how do I describe the texture, it was a cake-like donut. Very fine and crumbly texture. It literally melts in your mouth. I wasn't a fan of the icing on the Blueberry Cheesecake; however, the Raspberry Truffle's toppings were absolutely delicious. Although I didn't like the icing on the Blueberry Cheesecake donut, the donut itself was absolutely delicious, which is the reason this rating remains five stars. I would absolutely recommend this place, and if I'm ever in the area, I'll be back for sure! Head over to the website, the pictures of the donuts are literally how the donuts looked in person!

We had the cafe au lait, pumpkin spice latte, and the special Wild Rabbit (mocha with raspberry). Each were so good and the barista made she we liked them all. Again, super sad I don't live here because I'd be stopping by every morning to say hello and get a pour over. Hoping to swing through again someday.

Literally so cute…read more I got an iced matcha which I loved. I usually tend to avoid matcha when I am not making it bc most places load it up with sugar to the point that it's like a milkshake. This place, from the taste of it already, went a little lighter on the sweeteners but still had enough of a touch that it tasted really good. They had other very delicious beverages that I also probably would have very much enjoyed if I hadn't impulsively blurted out the fish thing I saw.

The Grind was like a beacon of light when I spotted it. I was super happy to see this coffee shop…read morewhile walking around downtown Morgantown, because I really needed a boost, and this place had what I was desperately in need of: caffeine! It was well past 2 o'clock, and I try not to drink coffee after 11ish-o'clock, because it usually messes with my sleep. But I remembered the words of a man much wiser than me who once said, "I never sleep, 'cause sleep is the cousin of death," so I felt like a lil' iced coffee would actually be beneficial, in this case. No regrets. The iced coffee was great! I always forget about iced coffee when I'm at a coffee shop, because I just usually order a hot black coffee. I'm so stuck in my ways, sometimes! But iced coffee was a good choice in this situation, and it came with a little vanilla cream, which was unexpected but a nice indulgence. The Grind is located right across the street from West Virginia University. It was packed when I visited, and I imagine it is almost always packed, because of its location. But the people who work here are very efficient and friendly, and my iced coffee was ready lickety-split. I got my coffee to go, but there are some tables inside the coffee shop to sit and relax, if you wanted to. One of my favorite things about The Grind is that they have a confession box in the restroom. I left a little confession in the box, because it promised that the box was "a safe place to share what you can never tell a soul," and I felt that I could trust this random coffee shop in West Virginia with my whole heart. I left my confession there, and took my iced coffee with me and went on my way.

I spent a few hours working here and visiting daily for 5 days. After having their coffee, I threw out a latte from another local coffee shop. It just didn't come close. The sweets look great too but I can't indulge since I need to keep sugar intake low. If you're a coffee lover, you'll love it here.

Yemeni honeycomb bread: Get it! That's all I have to say, really. That, and if they ask you if you…read morewant it warmed up, then say yes. I've said that in many reviews (get your pastries warmed up if it's an option, especially if they're bread-based), but it's especially true here. A warm honeycomb bread is essential. Durar is located in downtown Morgantown, and it's the only Yemeni coffee shop in the area. They offer a number of other desserts, including a variety of cheesecake in unusual flavors, like pistachio, kunafa and lotus. They also have croissants, bagels, milk cakes and danishes. Of course, Durar has coffee. They serve Yemeni coffee, which has spices like cardamom and clove in it. if you're dining in, you can get it presented to you nicely on a tray, with real cups and a carafe. They also have espressos, lattes, iced coffee and hot chocolate. It took quite a while to get my honeycomb bread, but they were super busy, which I liked to see, so it didn't bother me. The honeycomb bread was worth the wait, for sure.

If I could give ZERO stars I would!…read more I ordered cookies to be delivered to my son for first day of classes. I provided a complete address AND instructions that they be delivered to the apartment building's desk. They delivered them and dropped them ON THE GROUND outside random apartment complex door. When my son finally located them, cookies were missing (of course) and the remaining cookies and box were covered in ants (as you'd expect for food left outside on the ground). Bad as that is, when I called the store to let them know, the person who answered the phone immediately got nasty with me, telling me it wasnt their fault because they had Door Dash deliver them. When I tried to talk to her about how I didn't order through Door Dash and it's not my problem that they have a poor delivery process, she raised her voice, now yelling, that it's not her problem and that she won't do anything about it. When she stopped, I asked her if she was actually yelling at ME for a terrible delivery and customer experience. She hung up on me! (She should be immediately FIRED!) I will NEVER even consider Insomnia Cookies again nor will everyone me and my son/his friends tell about this awful customer service experience.
