Literally so cute. I got an iced matcha which I loved. I usually tend to avoid matcha when I am not making it bc most places load it up with sugar to the point that it's like a milkshake. This place, from the taste of it already, went a little lighter on the sweeteners but still had enough of a touch that it tasted really good. They had other very delicious beverages that I also probably would have very much enjoyed if I hadn't impulsively blurted out the fish thing I saw. read more

Great coffee shop! It's hard to find places that make good, high quality espresso, steam the milk to a perfectly silky texture, and use great ingredients. We visited on Thanksgiving morning and while the line was (expectedly) long, we were happy to wait. The barista was polite and friendly, worked quickly, and definitely knew what he was doing. What a cute coffee shop. Im really bad with names, but if I remember it correctly the barista's name is Jacob. I've been to a lot of coffee shops and I've never met a barista like him. I tell you he knows his customers. My husband & I went there 2 days in a row. The 2nd day when I walked in he asked me if I liked my coffee yesterday. I was very surprised that he remembered us. I only tried this place on my way out of Morgantown, but I really wish I tried something from their menu daily during my trip! Very cute ambiance and the barista was very sweet. I tried the Honey Badger drink because I love cardamom and the barista helped me narrow down all the great looking options to it. The drink was perfect. There are multiple single origin coffee selections along with a list of speciality drinks. I highly doubt you can go wrong with anything here. If you are a coffee snob, you will not be disappointed here. Everyone that likes a good cup of coffee needs to try this place. read more

On street parking only available in blue marked curbs, which are actually illegal unless you have a city-issued sticker. I tried to get medium-roast coffee at 3:30 PM, but was told "it sells out early in the morning"; in other words, "We are incompetent at realizing that we need to make more of this type of coffee, since it sells out so early." At the time I arrived, there were about a dozen bags of darker roast coffees on the shelf. I won't be back. read more

Quantum is one of Morgantown's finest hidden gems. If you're a coffee fanatic like me that appreciates cleanliness, kindness, and an excellent cup of coffee, this is your place! My only minor complaint is some specialty drinks are expensive. I spent about $10 after tip on the standard sized "Filthy Freeze", which was around $7. The drink was awesome. I just made the mistake of not checking the price before ordering. Located in a quaint area in town, the business is very small, but the interior design is clean, simple, and modern! This is the best coffee place in Morgantown and they have the best coffee beans. I get my coffee beans exclusively from here because they taste phenomenal. Their drinks are always amazing and they have such a large menu that you can get something different every time you go here. It's brave to embark on a new enterprise and not even feature a prominent sign out front. Even more courageous when your structure sits on an otherwise quiet residential neighborhood in a building that is probably no more than 30 feet wide, with a single storefront window peering out onto a none-too-busy street. The fact that, even on Christmas Eve, Quantum Bean still cycles a regular array of customers should be proof enough of its magnetism. But this is the Era of Third Wave Coffee, and an erudite college town like Morgantown is bound to deliver with some right-of-the-bell curve java joints. Not only is the drip impressive, but the specialty drinks are good as well--smart, conservative use of turmeric in the latte I enjoyed, which is good sign, since many places fetishize their quirky or (in the case of turmeric) trendy ingredients, making something that is potable but hardly a beverage you'd seek to have again. Not the case at Quantum Beam. Best of all, amidst their tiny storefront is a variety of smartly branded merch and coffee preparing products. Seating is slight (no more than 10 spots) but plugs/wifi are easily available, suggesting the friendly proprietors still want lots of people to linger if they can. Pastries are a bit pricey but tasty. And they'll accommodate with your to-go cup as well, if that's to your liking. More power to them. Though I believe they're fairly new to the Morgantown scene, Quantum Bean already seems to be achieving word-of-mouth acclaim to ensure it will keep people coming for the years ahead. Maybe they'll wrangle enough business to purchase an eye-catching outdoor sign. Or not. Doesn't seem like they need it! read more

Really nice coffee shop in Morgantown! My go-to is a cortado (1:1 espresso and steamed milk). They sell their locally roasted coffee beans as well. Nice selection of coffee alternatives, too, like matcha latte, golden latte, and teas. Beautiful, open, sunlit space. Limited indoor seating (3 2-tops and an 4-seat counter). Busiest times seem to be weekday mornings and weekends, mostly frequented by locals in the Greenmont and South Park neighborhoods. Food options limited to oatmeal and muffins--their focus is on drinks. read more

Perfect neighborhood spot. Stumbled across this place after initially trying to go to Phoenix Bakery and it was closed. What a happy surprise! The coffee here is fantastic (admittedly, I am a coffee snob) and the space is very modern and new.
