Easy 5 star Chinese spot for Morgantown, probably the best I've found. Online ordering easy and prompt. Inside actually has some dining area and appears decently clean if you wanted to dine in. I had pork lo mein, Szechuan chicken, and rangoons. Everything was solid, really no complaints. Chicken was decent quality, no gristly or mushy pieces like you get at some places around here. The lo mein was cooked well with good flavor, can't go wrong with that. The rangoons were definitely the best I've found around here. Merely average food. The service is wonderful but imagine my disapointment when I asked for hot tea and it arrived in a 16 oz styrofoam cup instead of the teapot. My wonton soup arrived in a to-go plastic container that tasted like the plastic. I wonder if they have it frozen and microwave it when a patron ordered it? My entree also arrived in a to go container with the lid underneath. My friend also had her entree to arrive the same way and looking around, this is the standard in this place. Used to order a good bit from here when we lived on that side of town and would eat in often. Drive by and thought why not? Everything was served in plastic for dine in! The food was super good from here tasted fresh and didn't hurt my stomach the way Chinese food sometimes can with additives. Got the crab Rangoon's and they are so good but they have a sweeter taste which I really enjoyed. Then I got steamed dumplings which I would highly recommend super good and the dipping sauce they came with was awesome. We wandered into this place, one of the few places in the Morgantown area that was open for lunch on Christmas, for a place to eat in our drive to the Midwest. The menu was typical of Chinese restaurants in small-town America (pace Andrew Zimmern), and not so great. I had orange beef, which was flavorful enough but not at all spicy (despite being portrayed as spicy on the menu). My wife had a lo mein which she pronounced as OK. The tea came to the table barely brewed; by the time we were ready to leave and it was no longer hot, it was sufficiently brewed. Food is fresh and made to order quickly at a low price. Plan for takeout rather than dining in their restaurant. It looks like at some point they might have had a dine-in atmosphere, but that seems to have gone away with COVID and simply never came back. They do have a seating area, but it feels more like a place to wait while your food is being cooked rather than to eat there. Service is alway quick and polite. This is one of the Chinese restaurants I'll go to in this area. This restaurant is most definitely one of my go-to (Americanized) Chinese food. Looking forward to going back soon! read more

I called to place an order and they don't even accept orders over the phone. The guy on the phone told me to do it through DoorDash. Ok no problem, but then I want an order of orange chicken and it's not an option. Then I complete my order and the option for delivery is not even available. Tucked away restaurant where your food comes out fast. Service is friendly and the food is good. Amazing value. The interior is nothing special and when we were there construction next door was a little annoying but it's fine and clean and has plenty of seating. We just moved back to the east coast from Cali and we've been missing east coast Chinese for two years! There is a difference! We went a little nuts and ordered crab Rangoon, steamed dumplings, chicken teriyaki, chicken lo mein, a combination dinner with general taps chicken and another with sweet and sour chicken. Can you believe this was all under $40 somehow?!! It was delicious and we ate happily until nearly bursting. They forgot our egg rolls but we had so much food we forgot and they brought us free sugar donuts so my pregnant butt was more than happy. We will definitely be back here again to get our Chinese fix. Chinese food is my favorite and we've tried all of them in Morgantown, this is the best! Nothing fancy, just great food. The crab rangoon (cheese wontons) were made fresh that day and were amazing- I don't even like cheese wontons! Ok, so I'm giving this place 2 stars because I think 1 would be too mean. Pros: friendly people, fast delivery, it was hot when it arrived... Cons: pretty much everything else. We got egg drop and hot and sour soup, beef with snowpeas, sesame chicken, veg lo mein, and boneless spareribs. All of it was flavorless, pretty mushy, and oddly everything tasted the same. I'm not sure what kind of metric "best in Morgantown" is but I've seen it on many reviews. This is not good at all. I don't want to say worst I've ever had because it wasn't offensively bad, but the level of bland and lack of any texture is just unreal. You can close your eyes, sample 5 different dishes, and you wouldn't be able to tell the difference. Duck sauce tastes like ketchup, yellow (?) fried rice, I could keep going on. This place gets it done, and is has to be the best Chinese in town--in a town that doesn't have good Chinese options. What keeps it from being five stars? Music is random top-40 type stuff: better off playing traditional Chinese ambient music! The classic test dish, Kung Pao Chicken is at best a 4 on the 5 scale, and at least a 2.5--could be much better, but I'll come back for more options later. Lastly: in using the bathroom, I want to say it was "clean enough," but I think they may be cutting corners on cleaning the toilet thoroughly (cleaning everything thoroughly on a frequent enough schedule is the most important thing every restaurant does), but I think their lobby is quite clean. Significantly improving one or two of those items could get me to mark them 5 stars. read more

Ordered online delivery for 1:30pm on 10/05/19 to my son's house in Morgantown WV. The driver was there at 1:25p. Yay! Promptness is a virtue to me. The food was good AND hot. The cream cheese wontons were some of the best I'd ever eaten. I worked in a Chinese restaurant for a year and a half, so I know quality. I didn't eat any, but the chicken egg foo young looked amazing. The white meat General Taos chicken was a little bready, but good. I would have given five stars, but I ordered the vegetable lo mein with green onions. There weren't any green onions in it, but plenty of broccoli, so that was ok. Much better than another local fast food oriental place there in the city I had ordered from before. I'd definitely order again. read more
