AVOID AT ALL COSTS I came here last weekend to order takeout with a friend from out of town. Deciding to treat ourselves, we chose to order the Peking Duck. We were told it would take 30 minutes to prepare, which was no issue at all, and we didn't even mind the $30 price tag along with it (it is an entire duck after all.) Assuming that since "Peking" is in the name of the restaurant, we were confident that the "Peking Duck" would be the crown jewel of the establishment. Boy..were we wrong. I have never been so unequivocally SWINDLED by a restaurant before in my entire life! We waited 30 minutes for our order, and paid $30 to be served THIS. THIS IS WHAT THEY SERVED US. Seriously??? This looks like something that's been ran over by a car, thrown on a grill, then ran over again!! Trying to not let our visual perceptions pre-judge the quality of the food, we still tried it and it tasted awful. Nothing like Peking Duck is supposed to taste. It was tough, chewy, and incredibly gamey. To add insult to injury we also ordered the Pu Pu Platter for two and everything included was bland and flavorless. The sparerib was dry and tough, the spring rolls flavorless. One of our other friends ordered the vegetable lo mein and even that was flavorless. I love to go to a Chinese restaurant where you can have a great lunch special with soup a fresh entrée $6 - 8 always delicious . I don't know what happened to this particular place but it's like going to your grandparents house and telling them they shouldn't drive anymore I am taking the keys. The last two times I've really been awful for lunch the food really lacking in quality the chicken over cooked and greasy and pretty much a dirty restaurant without any real help except for the owners.If you can't communicate and you can't smile you should not wait on tables extremely poor service. More than anything the food quality was -1 the last two times it was old seems like it was sitting around For days in the kitchen The chicken quality was below par and there was a unique smell of trash or odor coming from the food. Also no employees at all except for a very nice girl who is a waitress once a week. It's time to get a check up in the kitchen from the neck up because there's something definitely going wrong here We've had one friend that had food poisoning from there but we still continue to try and hope things get better but no more for us at this point it's time to take the keys away from grandma and do something before it's too late. Very disappointed and they even yelled and the baby Last time. I don't think a baby can get a full meal because it's a baby Well the older lady did not care and slammed the food in front of the baby.. I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I order the Hunan Beef. It's supposed to be spicy dish. It barely had salt or pepper on it. The beef tasted old, the "fried rice" had old peas it, and the spring roll was bland. Card board box would have tasted better! I have been eating here for over 10 years. This place has gone done the drain. The server was amazing! Thank you for being so kind and understanding. They did offer to bring me hot pepper oil and sriracha sauce to mix it myself. I cant really attest to the food since we were never served. We walked in there were people crowding the door. I was assuming waiting to be seen so then I realized they were just talking and stepped to the side. After about 5 minutes I'm like ok is anyone coming? Or do we seat ourselves..... so after a minute we just sat. Then I'm realizing there is only one server and it's about 3-4 larger groups, and 2 were getting ready to leave- hence the crowd at the door. So I'm trying to be patient. I did notice a sign that said they're short staffed. I'm trying to teach my children to just be patient and realize most people are doing what they can, especially now since Covid-19. But after about 15-20 minutes of no acknowledgment at all we left. I felt like okay maybe she will help us next, but the server must've been cooking too because she went in back and never came out.
