Crunchy 2 in 1 roll is a good tempura roll for takeout. I've had several Chinese dishes that have been quite good, some of the better Chinese food you'll find in this area. I think this is one of those places with so many things on the menu, you have to find what's worth getting vs not the best place for.

The biggest issue was the odd texture of the wrap, which was a bit mushy, and did not hold together after one bite. Although we order just a few rolls, it was brought out in an amazing presentation. The spider roll was OK but missing a normal large claw that sick out on two of the roll bites. The Pink Lady Roll was beautiful and had a great flavor. We ordered tea which was served in a very heavy metal pot. The pot kept the tea very hot throughout the entire meal. The best part of the meal was the Peaking Duck. This dish was unlike any Peaking Duck I have had previously. First, the duck is chopped up into very small pieces. Also, instead of normal Duck wraps, the dish was served with Bao Buns, which added a whole over demission and profile to the dish. If I would change anything, I would have taken the skin of the duck before cutting it up that small. You do kind of miss the crunch provided by a normal peaking duck dish. Still, I would call this the best Peaking duck dish we ever had.

Wanting to have some authentic Japanese food and the path took us to Yama's Japanese Restaurant…read more It's a barely noticeable hole in the wall in Downtown Morgantown. There's a paid parking lot across the street as well as metered parking on High Street. Their awning has seen better days but after walking up a small flight of stairs, you enter a cozy restaurant and greeted by its staff. There's about 8 tables for seating and the walls are neatly decorated with Japanese art. The front wall displays photos of their food offerings and made ordering easy. The friendly cashier answered some questions and we placed our order of shoyu ramen, curry rice with chicken katsu, shumai, gyoza, and takoyaki as well as soft drinks. There were several other customers having their meals and more gradually filled the tables as others left. The food was served soon after and looked delicious. They formed a kitty cat with the rice, complete with nori for cat eyes on the curry katsu plate. Nice touch. The curry was very flavorful and just the right consistency and a little spicy which went great with the katsu. Only wish there was more katsu. My buddy's ramen looked fantastic and was told the noodles were delicious in the broth. Found out the noodles aren't made in house but bought from a vendor. The gyoza and shumai were very tasty alone and with its sauce. The takoyaki took some time to cook but was nicely sauced and served. There were sizable chunks of tako inside and was very tasty. The prices are reasonable for a specialty restaurant and the service was great. There's another Japanese restaurant in Morgantown which was very good but Yama's was a little better and I'd return if ever I'm in Morgantown.

They're a small place maybe 20 or so seats. So sometimes you have to wait to order be seated and get your order. Lunch time seems to be alot easier to accommodate people who don't have patience. Personally I've eaten quite a few things on the menu. I enjoy the shoyu Ramen the shrimp shumei the gyoza. I've had the takoyaki a few times as well as the spicy tuna roll. Portions are good price is good and the staff is awesome. The decoration inside makes me think that that is what a japanese family type restaurant would look like in japan. Many light novels and manga on the book shelves to peruse through (all in japanese of course) which incidently your read from back to front right page to left page incase anyone wants to look at them. Can't recommend yama enough.

Unlike some other hot pot places I've been to, this place only charges for one pot and not for the food you get. I ordered everything that was available and it was all better then the last. I would especially recommend the pork, it was delicious! I had 3 orders of it. As I mentioned before, the food is delicious! While I couldn't get a photo, there was also a sauce bar. You had the option to get a premade one or get your own. I chose to make a teriyaki sauce and it was amazing! Definitely recommend checking it out while waiting for food to arrive. The waiter was so nice, I didn't catch his name but rest assured all of the staff is so nice and kind! They are very informative and know what dishes are good and bad. Now for the part that is hardest to nail down, the restaurant ambiance. I normally don't write about ambiance because to describe an amazing place to someone with just a few words is hard to do, but I felt I had to do it for this one. The restaurant looks very authentic and it is clear that they respect the culture that they represent.

This business on wheels takes well known foods and adds a spin to them. The self-taught chef uses local produce to cook up high quality food you're like to find in any fancy restaurant. The recent chef's special were an awesome combo of fresh veggies and chicken that just blew me away. I'm impressed. Enough that I'll make a point to find the truck the next time I'm in town. After waiting a very long time (about 15 minutes which is a pretty long time for a food truck) for our food, we were not very impressed with what we got. The bbq chicken taco was just that. Bbq chicken in a tortilla. Nothing else. The tortilla was burnt to the point of inediblity and had about 7 small pieces of bbq chicken in it. The ahi tuna taco tasted alright, but the tuna might as well have been chicken. It was not distinguishable as tuna although it was covered in a delicious muddled strawberry and balsamic sauce with feta. Although unique, there are much better places to eat around town with the same wait time for takeout. I don't think we will be visiting here again.
