    Orange chicken and fried rich

This was my first experience dining in here at Lavender Cafe. I had zero issues with my experience! Service was quick, staff was friendly, food came out quick (both appetizers and main meals), and our drinks remained full! The restaurant was reasonably busy too. I was with my partner for dinner, collectively we had: general Tso's, orange chicken, fried rice, crab Rangoon, and pork steamed dumplings. The chicken was the best orange and general Tso's I have had in Morgantown! Everything was delicious down to the crab Rangoon! We were beyond pleased with our visit!

This place makes your food fresh, the service is always great, and food taste yummy. Their bubble tea is also great. There is a room in the back for a larger group seating, so if you want to have a party, you can. I think it fits at least 15-20 though. Decorations are little outdated, but I don't have anything bad about this place. I come back here for some authentic Chinese food. This is located on the upper part of high street though, there is a free parking in the back! Which is always a plus in Morgantown.

Teriyaki chicken. It had no teriyaki flavor. It tasted like canned chicken gravy. I just can't believe I spent money on this. Ugh.

Really disappointed. Teriyaki chicken didn't taste like teriyaki, but like chicken that had bland canned chicken gravy poured on it. No teriyaki flavor. The general tso chicken had more breading than chicken. I hate leaving bad reviews, but this one was so disappointing. I figured with it being a little pricey I would get good quality, but this was no where near worth the money.

I had high hopes for this place because there isn't many Asian restaurants in WV, but this didn't quite meet my expectations. I had the beef noodle soup and crispy/spicy chicken. The noodle soup was bland. I liked the chicken but it would've been better with bigger cuts of chicken. Great costumer service though!

    Mapo tofu

What the heck people. I think this was my first Yelp letdown. I got mapo tofu, which was slightly disappointing. I expected it to have ground meat, like it usually does, but theirs does not. It came with mushrooms and peas and carrots (probably from a frozen bag). Taste wasn't too bad though. I thought it actually tasted better the next day as leftovers. The rest of the menu was eh. I didn't see that many things that were incredibly appetizing or if they were, they were expensive ($15/plate for a Taiwanese cafe?! No.). I also got my usual milk tea with tapioca. Definitely one of THE WORST bubble teas I've had in my life. Tea was incredibly watery. The balls weren't soaked in syrup, so they were bland and tough. Staff was nice, though??

Great food and good people. Off the normal beaten path for restaurants in Morgantown, but there's free parking off Beechurst Ave behind the building, and the food it fast and delicious inside.

    Scallion Pancake with Beef

The scallop pancakes with beef are a 10! The most surprised I've been after taking a bite in quite some time!

    Deep Fried Crab Rangoons

Ordered takeout on Valentine's Day (romantic, I know). This place caught my and my girlfriend's attention a long time ago, but we just never got around to checking it out. Anyway, I'm glad we finally did! We were indecisive as always, so we ordered a bunch of smaller items rather than one or two entrees. We opted for the deep fried crab rangoons, Taiwanese salt & pepper chicken, scallion pancake with egg, marinated beef, and chicken corn soup. The crab rangoons were the best I had ever had, as they were stuffed fuller than what I'm used to. The next best item was probably the corn soup. It had such an intense corn flavor and large chunks of chicken. The salt & pepper chicken was also really good with its sauce. We watched a movie in bed and ate the little pieces of chicken like it was popcorn haha. The scallion pancake and marinated beef weren't bad but forgettable. We're not from the area so we found the nearby parking to be a little sketch. This leads me to believe we made the right decision to take out. Overall we were really pleased with our order. We got quite a bit of yummy food for $30. We'll definitely be back again to try some entrees.

The BEST I've ever had. The Szechuan tofu and tofu basil hot pot are 10/10. Nice owners and great atmosphere.

Grand China Buffet Sushi & Grill. Clarksburg, WV. March, 2026. Craving Chinese food, four of us…read more(all adults) decided to check out the Grand China Buffet. It turned out to be a great choice for our group as we have very distinct eating preferences. The basis of MY meal was primarily the Mongolian grill, wherein you choose your own raw ingredients (meats, shrimp/crab, vegetables), noodles, and sauces, that are then freshly stir-fried on a gigantic grill by the grill-master. There was a good selection of meats and seafood, but I would've liked to have seen a wider variety of vegetables -- to include, for instance, carrots, water chestnuts, spinach, mini corn ears, etc. My selection was stir-fried perfectly (with meats well-cooked and veggies crisp tender), and the amount of sauce complemented rather than over-whelmed the dish. A second member of our group piled up, again and again, on seafood choices (and frog legs!) from the numerous buffet stations. The two other members of our party sampled a bit of everything, except the American choices. Grand China offers a large selection of Chinese entrees, noodles/rice, salads, sushi, the Mongolian grill, soups, some dim sum, desserts, and even ice cream. Did we love every dish? No. Did every member of our group find food choices that they enjoyed? A resounding yes. The restaurant is open 7 days per week, and was clean and busy. There's free and plentiful parking. The hostess and waitress were efficient and friendly enough. The dinner buffet ($14.99 per adult, or $1.20/year for kids aged 4-10 years) was a great value given the variety of food choices and the fact that it is all-you-can-eat. One recommendation to the restaurant. Please add sesame balls!

Food was excellent! The shrimp and broccoli dish was killer. Loved the sushi selection too. Service…read morewas great and the dining area was spotless. Three adult lunches for $42 is unreal. This is a great spot to scratch your Chinese food itch.
