Dunkin' Donuts has the best cold drinks in the world. I prefer them better than the competitor Starbucks. I order the mocha flavoring more than anything. But I also like the orange mango refresher. The staff is always friendly and greets me with a smile.

Wow. The food received here on a Sunday morning is embarrassing. Thought I was treating myself. Not sure who is making your donuts, but the donuts we received were barely filled, stale and covered with the remnants of other donuts. Just no good.

Always come here for ice cream as I'm not a coffee drinker. The workers are friendly and always standing their to greet you. I usually get a sundae but I was feeling milkshakes. For the milkshakes you can pick any ice cream flavor that they have, and I chose the traditional cookies and cream. My boyfriend got their Stranger Things "Upside Down Praline" in a milkshake. The ice cream is good, but the milkshakes were melted and not super thick like most milkshakes are.

I stopped in last minute while out running errands. I was seated immediately on a busy Saturday late morning and greeted right after. The menu is fantastic. Great options, wonderful seasonal specials. (Short rib omelette?! Hell yes!) I wanted basic, so I built my own omelette with a side of bacon and a hot tea. They have a great drink menu- coffee, specialty cocoas, tea, cocktails, mocktails, and refreshers. I was on my way to see a friend, so I grabbed us each a refresher to go. My meal was out in just minutes. Expertly prepared, fresh and delicious. Also a very nice portion. Sourdough toast was excellent. Generous filling for the omelette too. The only drawback was a common plight for strip mall restaurants- entrance that opens straight into the dining room. No foyer or vestibule means the cold January air nipped you in the face every time that front door opened. On cold days, get a table in the back. I'd like to highlight the mocktail concept, too. I often want a spirited drink but don't imbibe booze often. I love that they have offerings. The entire staff was so nice and helpful. I can't wait to come back!

I love adeni tea and went to try this place. We ended up ordering something different and may now have a new favorite. The tea was hot, sweet , and flavorful. We split a sandwich, each got a dessert, and split a medium pot of tea. The chicken salad was tasty. It was mostly mayo and chicken and we didn't notice anything else to it, but I enjoyed it. It was on the thin side. Again, the tea was delicious and we drank the whole pot. The desserts , mine a strawberry tree Leche, and my mom and cookie cheesecake. Both were delicious and decent size pieces.

To start, from the time we placed our order to the time we received it was 30 minutes. My order included a pastry, coffee, and sandwich, which could almost be forgivable; however, my sister placed a separate order for 2 pastries and a coffee. That should not take 30 minutes. It was a Tuesday afternoon, not terribly busy. After 30 minutes, we had 4 hangry kids who had been asking about their chocolate cake for... well 30 minutes. Next, onto the pastries. $15 a piece is absurd, but my fault not doing the research into price, so I will not fault them for that, only myself. I will fault them for the pastries being rock solid. We got an edible cup and a strawberry. Both were rock hard, and the experience eating them was not enjoyable at all. We were using our plastic spoons as a pick-axe, just trying to get a bite. It is impossible to get a bite of all the layers this way, which defeats the purpose. The kids shared the chocolate cake, thank god that was not frozen solid. Finally, to my butter chicken croissant. The butter chicken part was shredded chicken in the sauce, spread thinner than Dunkin' Donuts spreads their cream cheese. If I had scraped it all off into a pile, it would be about 2 tablespoons of chicken, and that is not an exaggeration. Kids were starving by this point- they were out of the hot dog on the menu, which is what we expected to feed them. I resigned and figured they could try the butter chicken, but for $11 it was not enough to even feed one kid. Thank goodness it included about 10 potato chips on the side, which held them over as we promised to stop for food for them on the way home. All in all- if our food had come out in 10-15 minutes (generous amount of time for coffee and pastry), had it not been frozen, and had I had at least a quarter cup of butter chicken, I could maybe give this place 3-4 stars, and just warn others on the price. However, neither the service nor food nor price was acceptable given the quality, and I am disappointed we wasted an hour of our day and $60 of our hard earned money here.

It's popular with students, with educators, with local residents, and with whomever has had it recommended to them ... like me. I have had two people tell me about Cafe Ah-Roma and one was a local friend who now prefers coffeehouses in suburbs closer to the lake. Regardless, everyone you ask about it seems to know exactly where Cafe Ah-Roma is. When first told about it, I thought it had something to do with Rome. It then became very obvious it's a play on the word aroma that will additionally have you making an "ah" sound for relief and/or elation. The interior is comfortable like an old shoe and, based on the postings, art work, and vibe, the store has real connectedness to its community. Note that this area leans slightly liberal but not ridiculously so. That means you might even see a Karen or two in here. Also, true to the notion that "culture comes from the top down," the staff that helps you, often students, are very polite and customer-focused when the chain coffeehouses are almost at the point of sliding things at you. These are good values that the owners are passing on to employees and, here, it's about the customers. They want to know that you are happy with your purchase. I want to add that, to go with your coffee or tea, they have cookies, pastries, or could put together something savory for you. In my case, I added a tomato basil bagel with a vegetable spread that they made for me. It's all good. The prices for menu items are also fair. This coffeehouse is in the suburb immediately south of the international airport. Only a few hotels are north of CLE, with most of them being south in Berea or Middleburg Heights. If staying at a nearby hotel, this locale is nearby. Cafe Ah-Roma is for everyone and the broad customer base is really interesting. In more temperate weather, there are exterior chairs and tables under the covered walkway to nearby stores. The interior is fairly spacious and bright. In closing, Ah-Roma deserves high marks for being a good coffeehouse (4 stars) and then some, hence 5 stars.

I chuckle at all the names coffeehouses come up with that have the word grind or ground in them. It's a lot like how places that cut hair seem to work in the word(s) sheer and/or shear. The college here is private Baldwin-Wallace University which may have had a religious denomination closer to its founding, but, at this juncture, appears to be more secular. It's actually a few miles east of Rise and Grind, closer to the older town center, and offers instruction in a broader range of fields than one might expect. I saw that this coffeehouse got very good reviews and, with its big parking lot near a major gym, I thought I'd take a look. Parking was easy and, upon entering, one sees it's both a physically and personally welcoming place. The store is lengthy, so one can sit in the front half or the back half, which is more suitable for larger groups, but I chose the table I selected for its proximity to outlets and the counter. On what was a warmer day, I opted for iced tea and an orange frosted donut. The brand of unsweetened iced tea was very good and the orange donut was delicious. I could have eaten another one. Beyond chocolate donuts, this is probably my favorite flavor and one doesn't often come across orange frosted donuts. The service was very amicable. The prices are in line with what others running independent coffeehouses would charge. In fact, I'm starting to like independent coffeehouses more and more for a multitude of reasons, one being that they now handily compete with the chains and have more character. Rise and Grind falls in between 4 and 5 stars, but it tilts to 5 stars because of the tidiness and pleasing ambiance of the store, the apparent vibe that this is a labor of love for the proprietors, and even for having that orange frosted donut.

The menu is set up with a number of categories: breakfast, paninis, salads, wraps, flatbreads, wafflesicles and drinks. Prices are reasonable and there are some interesting items. I had a certificate for $20 so I ordered the Smashed Egg Avocado Bagel, the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap and a big Chocolate Chip Cookie. The staff was great getting the certificate redeemed and guiding me through the menu. The food came out in a very timely manner, presentation was simple and straightforward. I had plenty of food for a very nice lunch. The egg and avocado bagel was interesting, the bagel was a bit soft for my preference, it was topped with a generous spread of egg and avocado mix plus some fresh spinach leaves. A very nice and healthy breakfast sandwich, a bit milder in flavor then I prefer, but good. The shrimp wrap was a good sized flour wrap around cold cooked shrimp with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce that perfectly complimented the wrap. This was excellent, the cool meaty shrimp contrasting with the crunchy cabbage and the zippy creamy sauce. I would highly recommend this if you like a bit of spice. The warm cookie was a great way to finish my lunch, very soft and gooey, packed with high quality chocolate chunks. About the only issue I had with the cookie was that it was hard to eat with just my hands, I ended up using the fork for most of the cookie. Having the option to order single servings or a whole pot is nice also. The service was very good. The server brought our drinks to the table.
