The cafe is larger than expected. Spans far back where they have a tv set up, carom board game, and an area with a number of board games you can play while you dine. They have a large variety of drinks ranging from chai, lattes, boba, spritzers, mocktails, and plenty of desserts. The staff didn't seem too informed about the menu items or drinks, which was a bit disappointing. I relied on some online reviews to decide on my order. The saffron karak chai was very good and comes out piping hot. I would prefer if they served this in an actual mug (rather than paper cup) especially if dining in. It was filled to the brim and spilled, not to mention putting a steaming hot drink in a paper cup. Nonetheless, the chair was good. More folks eventually started to come in so I can imagine this place gets noisy as it fills up. There was a women's group meeting all sitting in a circle on the floor in the front of the cafe. Perhaps they host group events? Not sure if there were any vegan options or egg free desserts, but check out the chai.

A great cafe in Middleburg Heights!…read more My friend and I got mojitos ($7 each), a green apple fruit pastry ($15), and a slice of caramel tres leches cake ($7). I ordered the blue raspberry mojito, and it was refreshing and the right amount of sweet. My friend said it tasted like a blue Jolly Rancher, and she was absolutely right. I liked the design of the green apple fruit pastry, and it caught my eye when I saw it in the case. Luckily, I also liked the taste. The green part is a hard white chocolate shell, and inside were mousse, cake, and an apple puree with apple chunks. The inside was especially delightful, and both the mousse and cake were light and airy. I just wish the pastry was bigger - especially for the price, but I get that you're also paying for the aesthetic, and I was a fan of the aesthetic! The tres leches cake was rich and scrumptious. The cake was so moist and sweet. If you don't like your cakes REALLY sweet, you might not like the tres leches cake, but as I have a sweet tooth, I adored the cake. The decor and vibes were also great. Not too loud and a good spot if you want to work for a couple of hours.

I ordered an espresso macchiato and really got more like a cappuccino. I tasted it and then re-ordered it the correct way. Neither one was very good. The first one had way too much almond milk in it. I could barely taste the coffee at all. The second one that was done right had a more acidic bitter taste to it. Not a very good cup of Espresso. The price was good though two dollars and change. The customers seemed happy and friendly. The employee was friendly and accommodating. She remade my espresso macchiato the proper way With a friendly kind demeanor. The inside of the church and the coffee shop are beautiful too bad they don't have a great cup of coffee though. you just can't get a great cup of coffee when you're not making the espresso from scratch with humans. Automated machines preset etc. never make an amazing cup of coffee or espresso. I would've given zero stars if I could for the cup of coffee but three stars for atmosphere and surroundings, hence one star since the main objective of the store is making a good cup of coffee.

They got espresso and lots of flavored syrups, and many different ways to combine them all. The coffee is good, ground fresh and brewed fresh. It's not the best beans, but the quality in preparation is leaps and bounds better than the fast food joints that mass brew or get it shipped in. The non-coffee drinks are not my preference. But I do enjoy a flavored water or coffee. The staff are nice and the speed is appreciated. They don't do food, so you still need to stop someplace else get a bite to eat. QUICK REVIEW (read this if you don't want to read this whole review): Try the potato pancakes. Great food and service. Slightly more elevated cafe. Busy during peak morning/afternoon hours and most likely less busy in the evenings. I have not been in the evening yet. Free parking lot and free wifi. FOOD - there are lots of food options to choose from for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have sandwiches, salads, pizza, and pastries. I arrived around 10:20am so I wanted breakfast. I read that the croissants are okay but I haven't tried them. I ordered the potato pancakes, blueberry hibiscus tea (hot) as a dine-in order plus a slice of almond cake as a takeout order. The potato pancakes ($19) was delicious. It comes with 3 thick potato pancakes topped an egg on the center and with bacon bits spread all over. The potato pancakes also come with sour cream on the side which I didn't realize so I moved that to the side of my plate because I don't like or eat sour cream. I would order the potato pancakes again as a savory breakfast item but $19 is a little steep for the price. The blueberry hibiscus tea ($4) was a refreshing drink served on a mug. If you enjoy the combination of white tea leaves, rose hips, natural blueberry, and hibiscus then this tea is for you. I also ordered an almond cake slice ($6) but to go. The almond cake is a light and tasty cake with sliced/shaved almonds on top. SERVICE -- Friendly. Me and one of the shorter female employee had a nice laugh when I went down later in the day to order an almond cake. They started getting busy when I arrived after 10am on a weekday but I was able to walk right up to the front counter to order. The buzzer handed to me buzzed probably within 15-20 mins and I went down to get my order. I believe the tea that I ordered was ready first. Overall, I'll definitely be back. Prices are higher than a traditional cafe. The plus is that there is free wifi so it's a perfect spot to work on your laptop. The tables are big and the chairs are comfortable. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 99/250 total reviews in 2026 - 940 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 May 2026

5/5 STARS!!! NUMBER 1. NUMÉRO UNO!!…read more WOW, QAHWAH HOUSE COFFEE is the best coffee shop in Cleveland and this is coming from a non-coffee drinker. I tried their Jubani, a light roast coffee and it is out of this world. Out of all the Yemen-based coffee shops in Cleveland, QAHWAH HOUSE is my favourite. HISTORY -- They are the original YEMENI coffee shop that existed in the United States, the first. They offer premium Organic Coffee from an 8th generation family coffee farm in Yemen. Qahwah House brought their coffee from Yemen to the United States in 2017 and have grown ever since with locations in over 10 U.S. states. They have 2 locations right now in Columbus, Ohio and 1 location in Cleveland. They are still expanding across the U.S. AMBIANCE -- Chic and cute. Beautiful inside with lovely light fixtures, amazing pictures on the wall of their famers handling the coffee beans, and an overall great design. Right in the center of the coffee shop on the wall is a lovely map of the world that shows the distribution of coffee over the years. TEA/COFFEE -- Their coffee beans are hand picked by humans in Yemen and sun dried on the roof of houses. The beans are a green colour and they use an elaborate and specific process to grind/roast the coffee. I tried the Adeni tea which is excellent plus I asked for light sugar. Because I sat in store, the tea came in a tea pot plus a small cup for me to drink it with. The tea pot is a great idea because it has a small candle underneath it to keep the tea warm. I was given a sample of their Jubani coffee which I absolutely loved. The Jubani is a light roast coffee with ginger, cardamom and cinnamon. The Jubani is very good and I highly recommend it. I'm not a coffee drinker but the Jubani blew me away with the taste. PASTRIES -- They also sell different types of sweet and savory pastries. I got a tomato and olive pastry while I sat in and it was delicious. I also got the Sabaya ($5) which is a light pastry that is supposed to have butter inside but I didn't taste any butter. The Sabaya comes with a side of what appears to be honey or syrup. The Sabaya tasted dry but I only ate it later that night or the next evening (I didn't finish it). SERVICE -- is absolutely outstanding, in my opinion. Everyone that I met was super nice and friendly. Tony, I think that was his name, explained to be the process of how the coffee is roasted in this big machine that sits right at the entrance to the store. He showed me the coffee machine. He told me so many interesting facts about their coffee and about Qahwah House in general which I've already highlighted/written in this review. When I arrived and told them it was my first time here but I don't drink coffee, an hour and a half later or so, I was brought a sample of their Jubani coffee. I was surprised yet happy that they brought me a coffee sample plus I loved the Jubani coffee. With friendly and excellent service, amazing coffee and tea, good wifi, and plenty of tables/chairs, I will definitely be back. TIP: There is a free parking lot. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 119/250 total reviews in 2026 - 960 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 6 June 2026

I've come a few times now and everything I've gotten so far has been good. My favorite drinks are probably the pistachio latte, mofawar, adeni chai. There's a promotion May 1-14 (2026) with their special (black sesame latte) where you can get 50% off of you order off their app. There wasn't an issue ordering off the app, the only thing is that if you order off the app, you don't get the restaurant pager/buzzer so you may have to check in at the register to see if they got the order, which is what I did since it was pretty busy. Ended with the black sesame latte which was aesthetically pleasing like their other drinks--though warning if you don't like the gritty texture like all black sesame drinks are, then maybe this isn't for you. Pistachio latte is still my favorite, but maybe I'll try this again with regular sweetness instead of light. Parking available and free as it's in a strip mall. Staff are nice. Inside the cafe there are two distinct sides, the right side is set up as a coffee shop with the service counter, some high top tables and some comfortable seating; the left side is set up as a dining area with a bar. I had a certificate for $20 so I ordered the Smashed Egg Avocado Bagel, the Bang Bang Shrimp Wrap and a big Chocolate Chip Cookie. The staff was great getting the certificate redeemed and guiding me through the menu. The food came out in a very timely manner, presentation was simple and straightforward. I had plenty of food for a very nice lunch. The egg and avocado bagel was interesting, the bagel was a bit soft for my preference, it was topped with a generous spread of egg and avocado mix plus some fresh spinach leaves. A very nice and healthy breakfast sandwich, a bit milder in flavor then I prefer, but good. The shrimp wrap was a good sized flour wrap around cold cooked shrimp with shredded cabbage and a great spicy sauce that perfectly complimented the wrap. This was excellent, the cool meaty shrimp contrasting with the crunchy cabbage and the zippy creamy sauce. I would highly recommend this if you like a bit of spice. The warm cookie was a great way to finish my lunch, very soft and gooey, packed with high quality chocolate chunks. About the only issue I had with the cookie was that it was hard to eat with just my hands, I ended up using the fork for most of the cookie.
