Recently, I had some concerns because my Venti coffee orders seemed to contain less than the expected 20 ounces. I called the store and had the pleasure of speaking with Nikki, the manager. She took the time to thoroughly explain how the beverages are prepared and why the volume can sometimes appear different depending on the drink and customizations. More importantly, she provided helpful suggestions on how I should place my orders going forward to ensure I receive exactly what I'm expecting. What stood out most was Nikki's professionalism and positive attitude. She came to the phone ready to listen, explain, and offer solutions rather than excuses. That level of customer service is becoming increasingly rare and was truly appreciated. Thank you, Nikki, for taking the time to help and for sharing such useful ordering tips. Your willingness to assist has made me an even more loyal customer. -- A grateful regular customer

Anyway, since those two are no longer options and I was in the mood for a pick-me-up, I thought I would (finally) check Ebar out. Ebar is located on the first floor level of Nordstrom, not actually in the store but just outside of it. It's super small - standing/ordering room only, but directly adjacent to the spot is large open space with tables and chairs where you can sit and sip. The menu has a variety of coffee-esque and smoothie beverages - what was noticeably missing for me was regular drip and iced coffee. Additionally, they have a few baked goods and confections for sale. I didn't want anything too complicated, so I decided on a cappuccino. I enjoyed the beverage - smooth with a good balance of milk and espresso. Service was good, the employees were friendly enough and my drink was ready relatively quickly. Overall I had a good experience at Ebar - this isn't the mecca of coffee spots, however it serves its purpose and provides the goods in a pinch.

My suggestion is to order your coffee at the register to-go while you're waiting to be seated. It makes the time fly by! The cafe is cozy and welcoming. The decor is warm and celebrates coffee, a true highlight of the restaurant. Their pastries look inviting and truly decadent. The ladies behind the register and server at our table are all so pleasant and helpful. Our server, Mariana, was very knowledgeable of the menu and suggested options to us for specific food allergies. Mariana is kind, helpful, and really makes you feel taken care of. Their coffee beans have a perfect acidity and chocolatey note, making the coffee taste flavorful, rich, and smooth. Both coffee and espresso drinks are served to perfection. Their hot drip coffee is very smooth and may be one of the best coffees I've had. I also love the Maple Cinnamon Latte with almond milk. It is complex in flavor and perfectly sweetened to my liking. Sweet Pea's is popular for their pão de queijo, a Brazilian cheese bread, which is gluten free. It is the BEST pão de queijo I've tried. It's perfectly salty, buttery, and fluffy. Just wow. They have many options for sandwich fillings with this bread, both savory and sweet. The Old Farmer's Breakfast is a hearty dish. The scrambled eggs are fluffy and seasoned well. The bacon is crispy and makes the dish have the perfect balance of savory and sweet. The gluten free pancakes are flavorful but slightly drier than an average pancake, so do dunk them in a little maple syrup to give them that just-right texture. If you are gluten free, it is worthy to note that cross-contamination is possible from their pancake grill. The dish is so filling and recommended! I would absolutely come back to try more dishes and coffee creations.
