Jen went with the roast beef and I ordered a submarine. They unfortunately were out of capicola, so I took their suggestion and substituted it with regular ham. For our donut choices, Jen went with a sugar donut and I had a chocolate/chocolate cake donut. Both the donut and sandwich were as good as I remembered. Bread was fresh, crisp on the outside with a chewy inside. Loaded with meat and plenty of vegetables. The donut was quite moist for a cake donut and I enjoyed the guilty pleasure. I don't go out for sandwiches or donuts that often, but this is still a top choice when I do.

I got a few donuts, a maple bar, banana fritter, and a cake donut. All the donuts were good, though by and far the banana fritter was the best. Easily one of the best donuts I've ever had in fact. Next time I'm even remotely in the LA/Orange County area again, I will 100% be stopping by here for me

With this commie inflation caused by the over spending politicians who could care less if they spend your grandkids money, it's great to see a small business like this make it through these difficult times. What really got me is after I paid the owner wrapped up an apple fritter and put it on top of the box and said "this one's for the teacher." I thought that was so special. What a great way to show your customers that you care. I highly recommend this establishment.

The only reason I'm rating this so low is one of the workers gathering the donuts treated us as if we were inconveniencing her buying their donuts?! The donuts were all stacked on a rack. We came in around 1:30-2pm. It was already hard to see the donuts without pressing your face into the glass cover. There were no other customers in the store but she kept rushing us to pick stuff. As we were about to pay, she wanted me to check the small bag of 3 donuts to make sure it was correct. I was trying to but she had her index finger tightly gripping the bag. I couldn't see the donuts due to the way it was stacked. I asked her a few times to let go of the bag so I could see but she wouldn't. It's less than $5 worth of donuts I'm buying, I have no plans of taking off with the goods without paying. While the donuts are so delicious, that was such a strange interaction. Lastly, the place had their doors open but it smelled like wet, old towels.

Every time I go there, there are always old-time customers eating in or ordering to go, always seeming quite happy to engage with the proprietors. If it was a poor establishment, I doubt you would find such loyal customers. Furthermore, in an era of high inflation, getting a dozen of delicious, fluffy and FRESH donuts prepared at the establishment for only $20.00 is a Godsend. Finally, if they're out of the donuts that you desire, just ask, and they'll make some for you. It may take 19 minutes, but it's definitely worth the wait.
