Stale donuts again :-( it is clear they are not making them on-site here like they do on the East coast. Taste terrible.

They offer a decent selection of coffee, tea and matcha drinks, and also have a small selection of pastries and bagels. Service was great, as the cashiers were friendly and welcoming. My drink was made to order, and was ready in about five minutes. There are a decent number of tables and outlets downstairs and there are also a decent number of tables on the second story. They have top notch, high speed wifi and is a relatively quiet space in the afternoon (be advised morning may be louder due to the various ongoing church activities offered). Overall, nice and clean coffee shop in AV.

There is a vast amount of seating if you decide to sit and relax in the quiet atmosphere there. The list of offerings is short and simple. I asked for a vanilla latte but the kind barista sheepishly informed me they were out of vanilla so I opted for a honey latte. I just had lunch so, although the few pastries in the pastry case looked tempting, I passed this time. The honey latte was excellent, slightly sweet and served at a temperature that was immediately drinkable. I took it on the road this time but, as mentioned, the abundance of tables and the serene ambiance make this a great place to sit for a while and read, return emails, get some work done, contemplate the universe, or converse with a friend. I'm not often in this area but would not hesitate to stop here in the future to enjoy a coffee.

This is hands-down, the best cold blended coffee drink I've had anywhere any place. What really makes this drink work is there flavored coffee powders which work and taste so much better than syrups used in other such drinks. That said this particular location is very convenient. You can drive through. Have your drink inside or walk up and go lots of options. The staff are friendly. The drink was made perfectly in record time in a very pleasant senior area.

The employee rang it up incorrectly by charging the protein as a separate add-on instead of selecting the protein latte itself, so I ended up paying $8.20 for the drink, not including the extra shot. I didn't notice until after I left. The drink had a strange aftertaste (maybe the vanilla or the protein) and was very subpar for the price. I also ordered a turkey pesto sandwich, I know these are reheated, but I still expected it to taste better. The meat didn't taste good and the sandwich was very mediocre overall. Compared to chains like Starbucks or Philz, this didn't come close. I don't plan on returning.

It had the perfect level of crunch and flakiness to it while maintaining a consistent pistachio filling. Best part is that the pistachio wasn't overwhelming and did not overtake the whole croissant. WHY DOES THIS BAKERY HAVE A 4.5+ RATING?…read more This is our first visit. Clearly the pastries are a very high level of quality and french cuisine. We had breakfast - an omelette, some bacon and lamb sausage, potatoes, and a cappuccino. we also had some pastries. All excellently prepared. We're going to try something else besides the omelette next time...it was OK but not "out of the park" so we'll try something else next week. Service - after we ordered at the counter our food was delivered to the table which are all located outside on a well-shaded patio. We always split our dishes - my wife and I can't eat an entire plate of food. It's not "table service" - they don't come back and check you or help with water or drinks, etc. Whatever you want you must return to the counter. But service at the counter is very friendly and helpful. The ambiance is an outdoor cafe....noisy neighbors, wind when it blows, dogs, all the regular stuff - good seating and umbrellas with some areas naturally shaded...lots of tables relative to the size of the shop. Very friendly staff. Why do my reviews get over 1,000 views every time we visit a new place? We don't know but it seems consistent. We feature very critical reviews - we rate high but include serious critiques. Maybe that's it.

Scratch Bakery Cafe is located in a big plaza with Trader Joe. There are many people outside sitting and eating. You order up front and pay before getting a table. Right when you walk in, there are tons of bags filled with English Muffins, however, they are called Manna buns for trademark reasons. The Manna buns come in plain, sesame, and everything seasonings. I ended up going with plain. The bun is super yummy. I made eggs and avocado sandwich with the bun and couldn't wait to eat them every day. They are pretty big, so I only eat half. They also sell bakery items. I got an oatmeal chocolate chip cookies that was delicious and a Banana's Foster Knock Knock. I absolutely love this and so happy the lady suggested it. It was like an upgraded ding dong but like a banana nut cake and chocolate. Overall, if you're looking for English muffins or some sweet this is definitely your place to try.
