Great Dunkin' with a great staff and manager. A little bit quieter since there are no high school students coming in and out now.

However, for my taste this places donuts are slightly on the denser side and lack much flavor in terms of the actual dough (which mostly just tastes like oil rather than a fresh, "bready(?)" flavor). I did not enjoy my usual favorite item at other spots, the jelly donut. The strawberry jam was overly sweet and tasted low quality (mostly like preservatives with the strawberry flavor utterly cooked off). I wish the texture was pillowy and the flavor of the donut itself higher quality (since these donuts are marketed as specialty/gourmet). They shine based on what fancy flavor is put on top. Overall, I may prefer another spot when considering the price and quality.

She was able to describe the selection they had. I opted for The Homer, chocolate sprinkle, glazed yeast, Boston cream and a cider donut. They were all fantastic. The Boston cream one was everyone's favorite. The cider donut was a great cake donut. The Homer was also a cake donut. I prefer a cake donut over yeast. But, the glaze was great. I love the selection between yeast and cake doughnuts! Kiddos! The flavors are really unique. I love the creativity. This really is a great shop!

The attendant went to the kitchen and she and one other attendant came back with all four orders. When I said no, two of us had already been served, the original server noted that she originally missed the other two orders. No apologies for the botched service. Not sure we would have received the rest of our order if we had not asked. I do wonder though if the things get smoother (i.e. did class just come into session when I visited?) the food offerings were good but the management of ordering flow was a bit of a mess. I don't know if they set things up with a weird flow and then hopefully the students figure out the flaw, but it certainly feels like they're set up with a disadvantage. You can only order pastries right at the pastry window, but they can't check you out. You then have to go to one of the other checkout registers, but then it feels like you're cutting someone off who just wanted to order a coffee. I've never walked into a bakery with this level of disorganization so it was like really? I'm hoping this is a matter of training for the students, but from an outside entity walking in, it's confusing and it doesn't display the institution in the best light.

She was very friendly throughout our 10 minute stay here as we chose what we want, purchased, and sat down to eat our pastries. The inside of this bakery was spacious and clean. When we came, there were no other customers since they close at 4pm. In terms of selection, I was kind of disappointed to see not a lot of options. However, we were informed that if we were looking for more choices to pick from, that it would be best to come early in the morning. That's understandable and I will certainly do that going forward when I have a craving and am in the area! Excited to see more delicious options! From what we saw, I ended getting a chocolate frosted doughnut, and my friends got a jelly filled doughnut and a cannoli with chocolate and pistachios. The chocolate frosted doughnut was more dense than I wanted but it was still good and satisfied my craving. I also tried the jelly doughnut and that one was more airy and less dense and more of the consistency of how a doughnut should be! The cannoli is different than the typically Italian ones - the cream is light and whipped, not at all dense, and less sweet. The chocolate dip and pistachios are a nice touch!

My daughter requested seafood for her birthday dinner so I headed to Adam's Poughkeepsie location…read more If you can find a parking space, remember to bring a quarter with you because at this location, you are required to insert a quarter to rent the cart. Presumably this is because of the proximity to City Of Poughkeepsie, but I see no reason for it. This location has a bit of a confusing situation because you really need to remember which entrance you use so you can get back to your vehicle without having to circle the entire building with an overflowing cart of groceries. They are pros and cons to shopping here. Staff is extremely friendly to the point where you feel like you're at a neighborhood small grocery. But this place is massive with an abundance of imports and unique offerings from around the region. I belong to a farm cooperative, so I don't usually need vegetables. However, in this case, I did shop produce to locate some organic options to serve with the scallops and shrimp. The presentation is wonderful, but the prices are outrageous. Year over year, the same items that I purchased at Adam have increased by at least 30%. Some of that is due to the current geopolitics, but some of it is just plain exorbitant pricing. My purchase: A stop at Seafood to make sure they had 2 pounds of sea scallops approximately $24 per pound- wild caught. And the colossal shrimp more than $20 per pound also wild caught. Next stop a birthday cake - everything looks wonderful and I'm sure that there are items that are not mass produced with lots of fillers, but idea say that they probably use the same cake mixes as the less pricey supermarkets. Regardless, I had no time to bake so I picked up a 6 inch carrot cake - $26. And a fresh fruit tart 9 inch $29. Ouch, one note about the fruit tart is that the strawberries were not hold which makes for very.com cumbersome dining. You serve a lovely piece of fruit tart, and your guest has to dissect the strawberry to take the leaves off. It doesn't look that great and it is not appetizing. A quick stop to pick up organic broccoli. What the heck! Roughly $12 for two bunches of broccoli. I must be out of my mind. It was a birthday and I don't have any broccoli at home so I bit the bullet Over to the cheese counter where you can find exceptional values, and Exceptional imports My pic today was Bulgarian feta cheese, which is not easy to find, a beautiful French Camembert, and a block of Gouda. A loaf of bread, and a quick run to the clearance section at the back of the store where I scored pretty well with about 2 pounds of beautiful grapes for two dollars and a dragon fruit for under two dollars. A 12 pack of Parker General rolls $2.50 a quick run past the pasta department for the Italian produced linguine and onto the cash register. My cart was full and I knew my wallet would be empty soon so I headed home. Shopping at Adams is an experience rather than a chore. Please don't go on an empty stomach because you will soon regret it. You're not gonna find samples here for tasting, but you can ask at the cheese counter if you're not sure about a potential purchase and they will oblige. I do .
