Genuinely so happy this is so close to me (but dangerous for my wallet, as I have to resist the urge to come here everyday). The atmosphere is lovely and there's plenty of seating. The tables and chairs are comfy and inviting, and I have never seen a single thing out of place. I challenge you to find a spec of dust. Definitely stop by here and see for yourself, and grab something tasty, too!

During this visit, I ordered a hot pistachio latte, a small iced caramel latte with cold foam, and a slice of tiramisu. The presentation was beautiful, but the food and drinks didn't quite live up to the appearance. The iced caramel latte tasted a bit watery, which has been my experience on more than one visit, and the hot pistachio latte was just okay. The biggest disappointment was the tiramisu. It was overly soaked in coffee, didn't taste very fresh, and wasn't what I expected. One thing I really appreciated was the service. The cashier was incredibly kind and accommodating. Since I'm currently pregnant and can only have decaf coffee, she made sure my order was clearly communicated to the team, which I was very grateful for. The café itself is aesthetically beautiful, although we did have to wipe down our table because there were crumbs left from the previous guests. The seating is nice, but the chairs could be more comfortable if you plan to stay for an extended period. My only other suggestion would be to improve customer engagement at the register. On a few visits, it has felt like employees finished conversations with coworkers before helping customers. Overall, I enjoy coming to Layali because the ambiance is one of the best in Rochester. While I think the coffee and desserts could be more consistent, I'd still return to enjoy the atmosphere and give more of the menu a try.

When I got there, the line was out the door. The line moved pretty fast and the wait for the food wasn't too long. Even though it was very busy, they had ample seating that was decently spaced-out. They also had a lot of natural light which made for a very nice environment. The baked goods selection was amazing, and I already know that I'm going to return many times to try more. I'm especially excited to try one of their soft pretzels in the future, as there isn't really a good soft pretzel place in Rochester. They also had some pies and other local goods to buy including dog treats. This time, I got a cinnamon roll, the cinnamon bun latte, and a BLT. All were delicious!

They had a lot of the carrot ones. The donut case was full. I got my dad two apple fritters -he said he's had better. He also had a raspberry filled. He said it was okay. My mom had a lemon filled donut, she said it was missing the tartness that lemon has. I also got her a cinnamon apple one filled one she said it was pretty good. I had a croissant. It was very dry. I had to microwave it. It was not anything special. There was some fudge and honey. There was a big dining area. This not a place I just have to go to. I can take it or leave it. I thought there would be more breads and bakery pastries.

We decided to try out a new to us restaurant for lunch today. The Old Farm Cafe piqued our…read moreinterest. My sister placed our orders at the counter & we chose a table near the wall. The woman taking the order did not tell us how the system works - leaving us puzzling as we sat at the table. My sister went up after we waited awhile, & asked. It appears some items were ready & she was going to bring it to us after everything was ready. The food: I ordered the 3 pc chicken tenders with honey mustard dipping sauce & the "loaded" ( ) tater tots. The tenders were good - crispy, not greasy, tender, not dried out. The breading was slightly salty. I liked the dipping sauce. The tater tots came & the first 3 I tried were not even the slightest bit warm. I saw a few clumps of what I think was thin melted orange cheese with I guess thin bacon crumbles. The most off putting thing about the potatoes was an odd unpleasant taste which I attribute to whatever oil they were cooked or coated in. Whatever it was left a chemical kind of taste in my mouth. On a different note, while the decor is charming, the chairs are uncomfortable. Altogether it was a disappointing experience. My sister spoke to the manager, after we finished, and he offered a replacement for the potatoes but she declined. Since the order was paid for upfront, there wasn't an offer to comp for the distasteful food
