The staff is very friendly. The BAD: inconsistencies with the toppings! Tonight's pizza was so bad, I felt the need to write a review. Typically we'll have a bad 18" inch (or two) and not order again for a while. Then, we'll try again and have a tasty pizza. On/Off relationship! Tonight we opted for a veggie pizza instead of a Lenten Fish Take-out. Our pizza was overbaked, couldn't see or taste green peppers, onions were stringy, black olives tasted spoiled, etc. Not good. Not fans of the Tavern cut either. Help!

We asked for regular hand stretched crust and no onions. It was ready in about 20 minutes and huge! We loved it!! The crust was really good (like artisan style) , sauce and cheese are fantastic... and the sausage was delicious. Tips: 1. They defaulted to party style cut for the 18". Next time, we will probably order two 14" pizzas (so we can try more toppings) and ask for traditional wedge cuts. 2. They offer the option of fresh or canned mushrooms. Just in case they forget, make sure you specify what you want. We got the fresh mushrooms, and they were great. I dislike canned mushrooms, so I'm grateful that they offer fresh. The only two issues we had were: 1. We think that the "Everything" pizza should have more than 5 toppings or maybe change the name to deluxe sausage or sausage supreme. It confused my family when I told them what I was bringing home the Everything pizza and it didn't even have Pepperoni. A name change could eliminate confusion. 2. My husband thought the amount of toppings on the 18" was a little light compared to what he expected. Delicious though. However, if I'm reading the menu correctly, adding extra toppings doesn't cost much.. so order what you want and enjoy!! Nice folks.. I hope they do well.

Started off with the cheese curds. Well, they aren't really curds in the normal sense. The are creamy cubes of cheese breaded and fried. We really liked them. Different to say the least. I love meat loaf. I was really happy to see that as a menu choice. That was my order. It was good, but the glaze topping was really sweet. Almost too much. And the loaf was not dense at all (good thing!). My wife ordered the Chicken Bau buns. The first one she bit into was undercooked. Zero problem getting that replaced by a very polite and apologetic cook. Other entrees were the hangar steak (excellent) and blackened shrimp salad (also great). Finished off with a chocolate crème brûlée. Wonderful. Service was wonderful. We did not ask for anything because of the undercooked chicken. Our server removed it from the bill anyway. That's how you know a restaurant cares and wants you back. And we will be.

The "cafe" itself is really tiny with 1 table available (to our surprise since we were meeting friends for coffee!). The business is mainly operating through online/worldwide orders of coffee beans/focaccia/other goodies. The owner decided to downsize from their original cafe that sat 100 guests to focus on their worldwide distribution of coffee. He was very kind and accommodating and gave us an extra stool so we can sit and chat while enjoying the delicious fresh brewed coffee! I tried the walnut roast blend with cream (no sugar) for about $3- ~ 16oz - 20 oz coffee! Not a bad deal at all. Again, I am not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee was very smooth, nutty, and really intricate in flavor (delicious even without the sugar I'm used to having in order to mask the typical coffee taste!). You can buy fresh ground coffee (and I believe coffee beans) here at the store, or you can order online to have them ship it right to your door.
