I am not sure these are the standard pate a choux dough. They could be but then soggy because they prefill them. The flavor is good. Donut is unique. The raised chocolate donut is a solid donut. Nothing special. They post a sign of you pay with credit card they charge 50 cents extra. That seems really high surcharge. The place is clean and lots of donut options. Service was good. My daughter was so proud of her recent report card (all As), so when we were driving by a Krispy Kreme, she remembered she had read about this promo after I mentioned how I was craving a donut. Thing is, when we brought this up to the cashier at the counter in Fremont, he informed us this was a Summer promotion only, but he'd let us do it just this once. So he looked at my daughter's report card, let out an audible gasp when he saw it was more donuts than he probably planned to give out, and said: "There is a maximum to the promotion." My daughter read the max is 6, but the man gave us 5. We didn't argue it because free is free! We were super grateful, thanked him, tipped, and 10 seconds later, there were no more donuts! Interestingly enough, you can get Japanese rice dish plates here, like Chicken Katsu, Unagidon, curry, etc, as well as appetizers such as gyoza or karaage. For drink choices, they have various yakult drinks. I got a chocolate hazelnut, I think churro donut? Lots of flavors, sweet dessert donut, nice chewy mochi texture and not too oily. Solid mochi donut. So many Mochinuts have been destroyed after the boom, so this was a nice nostalgic taste. Bros have not updated their social media since January, so if you want an idea of flavors, I'd show up in person or call them if anything.
