This is one of my son's favorite places for ice cream. We had just finished dinner near by and…read morestopped in to get a sweet treat. It was about ten minutes before they were going to close and we had hoped they wouldn't mind taking us. We could tell they were cleaning, but the girl near the entrance said they would take us. My son felt bad so he didn't get anything and I ordered one scoop mint chocolate chip with some toppings. The girl at the register wasn't very friendly. As I was ordering a group came in and you could tell she was annoyed. I paid for my ice cream and waited and waited some more. The group who came in after me was getting their ice cream before me. When I finally got my ice cream I was trying to take a quick picture of it and the same girl from the register told us they were closed and we needed to go outside. We went outside to sit down and I could tell with the first bite that my ice cream flavor was wrong. I would have gone inside but they already had locked the door and by then I was already annoyed.

I expected much better from this establishment given the money spent on it. It's frustrating to see…read moreemployees show such a lack of care for customers in a service-oriented role. My mom went out to treat us to ice cream after a long day, and it was obvious the staff didn't want to be there, even though it was only around 9:30 and they close at 10. While I get that end-of-day fatigue can happen, it doesn't excuse the poor quality of our orders. I specifically requested extra strawberries, but I only got 3 or 4 small pieces in a "love it" size, which felt careless. My mom's ice cream was incredibly disappointing as well. Stingy with both the ice cream and toppings she asked for. If you're going to work in customer service, there should be a commitment to serving customers well. It shouldn't be that difficult. She left them a tip afterward, but it turned out to be a decision she regretted. Do better.

I went in for my favorite - (banana split) - on my special day, and although I was greeted warmly by the store manager - Patience - they really strived to make things up to me from just what happened on 7/4's review (the one that got away from them). She knew me from other past orders, but never this close - to be on my special day. She asked all the right questions (about the whipped cream and chocolate syrup) and even the cherry on top and although I had to lighten things for sugar content, I knew nothing was yet to go wrong and that I was striving for more. About 5 minutes after I walked and paid and later watched her prepare the stuff, but that I was able to step back with my stuff and eat it while people-watching all the while. I'm sorry that whenever I come in, I'm always on foot. Being that all the cars we own, I've had some trouble with driving. Having other people here who have cars but have some trouble with insurance, really strikes out that forces us to not drive, and it's totally great that I can walk to your place totally on foot and still pick up some great service. Ambience is what I've come to expect. That feeling of classic gas station turned convenience store while showing no signs of it's former gas station appearance, really says something. The walls are almost always clean and I almost always forget that there's a billboard of stuff on their north wall nearest the windows and restroom.
