Dunkin' (or if you are old enough to remember it as Dunkin' Donuts) is an iconic, global empire that started humbly enough back in 1948 in Quincy, Massachusetts when Bill Rosenberg opened Open Kettle. I have to say that Dunkin' has been a regular go-to when I am heading to an early morning meeting. A little culinary bribe of donuts and coffee often puts a smile on some tired faces and goes a long way in creating a connection. On a little side note, my go-to at Dunkin' is neither their Donuts or their coffee. My go-to is their bagels. While the bagels at Dunkin' are not the best that I have ever had, the bagels are decent at Dunkin' and have been a great start to my day. All in all, Dunkin' is a great place to start your day. This location is the worst. The customer service is atrocious. They serve you smashed croissant sandwiches, or half the croissant is missing, My son visits me each Sat and stops to get breakfast and each time it is awful. I then tried the sourdough sandwich, asking for sausage and cheese and I got bacon and no cheese, The person even confirmed what was ordered and it was still incorrect. I've had a great experience both times I've been to this location. Today we went and it had a long drive thru line but service was extremely quick. My cold brew was made perfectly and hubs enjoyed his hot coffee. The person who took our order and the person gave us our items were both very nice. I had better service here than at my usual Dunk and I wish this location could train mine in Longwood. read more

Who dislikes dunkin? Dough nuts are always on point no matter which one you go to. But my biggest issue with this store is constancy..... I go here like 4 times a week in the morning order the same thing every time and they either get the order wrong or I get a cold hard as a rock bagel. Coffee never taste the same from one day to the other, it's either great, lack of sugar or watery. I have told them in the drive thru please don't mess up my order yesterday you forgot the cream cheese on the bagel then they get it right but it's an old bagel. Maybe once a week it's perfect. I know they are in a rush but I wish they could just be a little more kind full just because u got the order out in 30 seconds doesn't mean it's always right... one time I got a completely different sandwich... I never thought that I would EVER be reviewing a Dunkin Donuts, nor that I would ever be giving my coveted 5 Stars to one ... BUT, I wanted to be sure and give credit where credit is due. We stopped in here with family for a light bite and coffee. First of all - we've never seen a cleaner Dunkin Donuts! It was clean, organized and beautifully decorated. (We hear they recently had a change in ownership and that the location was renovated, cleaned up and updated. It clearly shows!) The staff were all very friendly, courteous and patient. I mention patient because we had some older family with us and they tend to be slower. They ask lots of questions and are slow to order and have very specific requests. But both the young man and the woman who tended to us were polite, helpful, and patient and we really noticed and APPRECIATED it! Coffees were hot and well brewed. Cold drinks were well made. We ordered breakfast sandwiches and donuts - all great and the donuts, despite it being later in the afternoon, were well-stocked and fresh. 9 out of 10 times, donuts at other Dunkins are stale and uneventful but we were really pleasantly surprised and impressed with our order here. We have been back twice since and I feel as though their service was even better on a busier weekend morning! Despite being super busy, they were all so friendly, attentive, accommodating and awesome! The owner - whoever you are. You have done a great job with your franchise branch! The customer service at this location is about the worst in all of Volusia and Seminole County. E and I stopped in this location at 9:00am this morning, we walked in to the location as we find it's faster because most choose the drive through, as usual E grabbed an orange juice and we took a moment to look at the board and see if there was anything new, when we decided what we wanted to order we approached the counter and waited, and waited, and waited as people walked past us literally 29 times on five minutes without saying one word to us, no greeting, no welcome to Dunkin, no we'll be a few minutes, nothing. Finally after five minutes or maybe longer of standing there a younger gentlemen with a mask half on his face half off comes to the counter and says, "what do you want" just like that, "what do you want" I made mention of how long we were standing there and said person starts arguing with me that he tried to take our order when we first walked in. I looked at E and said "I'm done, we're leaving". We left and started driving, I called the location 6 times before someone answered, finally on said sixth time when a female answered I asked if she was the manager, she replied yes, I informed her of our experience moments ago at her location and she was very rude and started arguing with me. HONEY! BABY! SWEETIE! I have never left a place so angry and disappointed in my life! Does DD provide ANY training whatsoever? Does the words Customer Service even come up in their daily conversation? When I got to the window and showed my app, I was greeted with, "Already rang up, too late" by a very smug young man. This was the second time I had the same experience at this Dunkin. I asked for a refund and the same young man started with, "Need a refund" several times as if it was a badge of honor. A young woman came to assist and began to lecture me about how to use the app. Immediately offended by her tone and her "customer is always wrong" attitude, I explained that I knew how it worked. She either preceded or concluded her comments with the term "SWEETIE" and I ask that she not call me that. By this time I was getting aggravated at the lack of respect, lack of training, and lack of presence of management. She actually said, "Right now, I'm being very nice, Sweetie!" I asked again that she not be condescending and she was baffled. She asked how it was condescending. She then tried to hand me the drink without charge. I said I didn't want it. She looked shocked and I drove away fearing my head would explode if I didn't. I've wasted more than one call to the store over the last several months and wasted another couple to Corporate. I love this location, the inside is very pretty and clean, didn't even want to leave. :) The donuts I had were very fresh. I've tried a lot of their breakfast sandwiches, they are pretty good. Their hash browns are delicious, I just wish they were good for you. I tried their Sausage Scramble Bowl (scrambled eggs, sausage, melted cheddar jack cheese, peppers and onions), it's spicy and very good! I also like their coffee. If you're going to Dunkin' in the Debary, Orange City area, this one is much better than the Orange City (Saxon Blvd) location. So I know this is a chain and everyone knows Dunkin but... let me tell you about this magical location! Some dunkins are either a hit or miss but this one seriously is ALWAYS a hit. All the workers are always so pleasant and nice. The food ALWAYS comes out perfect, and they are always pretty fast! When I suggested Dunkin to friends from out of town they pleaded no Bc of all the horrible experiences they had. I told them to trust me because this one is 'magical' haha. They couldn't believe how amazing it was. They still text me now about how on point their sandwiches and coffee was... made to perfection. I usually don't review big chains but this Dunkin location is THE BEST. I go out of my way in the morning to go here even though I pass one on my way to work. Oh, and everyone is human there has been times they've forgot to give me 2 orders of something and just gave me one. I have been going to the Debary DD for the last two years and it is by far the best one going. Crystal has the most beautiful smile and seeing her and hearing her greeting each morning makes my day. The only reason I give them a one star rating is because 0 isn't and option. I honestly go to Dunkin Donuts every day which is my personal problem, but at the DeLand location the service is wonderful and they always get it right. The Debary location can't figure out the on-the-go option at all. I have actually been told by a staff member they don't start the order until you get there. The orders are never right and never accurate. Pulled into the drive through and ordered two things. We tried to order a third thing but we got radio silence for 2 minutes. Another person took over and offered no explanation for the silence, and made us repeat our order, along with another drink and an egg white on an English muffin with no cheese. When we pulled to the window, we received one of our drinks, and another drink in a small cup. We asked for it to be placed in a large cup, as we ordered, and they told us to pull to the line so they could remake the drink, and presumably give us the rest of our order. We waited for five minutes and received one drink, and had to ask the worker to bring the rest. After another several minutes, a worker finally brought out the drink in a large cup, as well as the English muffin, although with cheese, which we specified that we did not want. Well this Dunkin' recently opened. Place is fancy and clean but unfortunately serves Luke Warm coffee. My Double CHOCOLATE donut...Tasteless!!! This does not really surprise me due to it's being owned by the same franchisee that owns the Deltona Dunkin' Donuts. Normally I avoid Dunkin donuts. The coffee is always good enough but the staff and lobby are usually awful. This location might be new... Not sure. But the lobby was practically spotless! The crew was so nice and helpful. They are a "go green" location and have included things into this location to help save the environment. Like low water use utilities and energy efficient lights! They also have outlets installed around (not as many as a Starbucks) but they do have USB outlets. I took a wrong turn and ended up a town over from where I was headed. Just moved to the area and was excited to see a new Dunkin' was close by to my home. I have been thru the drive thru about 10 times and 4 out of 10 times I didn't get a straw. It's quite annoying to have to go park and walk inside and get straws for our drinks. The young lady that hands me my drink most mornings doesn't speak a word. This location has only been open for a week, but I'm throwing a review out there because I desperately want it to succeed in a town where a major chain is a big deal. I went though the drive-thru in the morning, excited because unlike the location by I-4 that has a 30 minute wait, this new DeBary location had zero wait. Cool. I knew it would be interesting when I pulled up to the speaker to place my order and the girl with the headphones kept asking me to repeat what I had ordered. "Whaaaaaat?" Simple. Onion bagel with veggie cream cheese and a large iced coffee with cream and sugar. The girl never repeated back my order, nor did she clarify what I had ordered when I was asked to hand over my money. What I got was a plain bagel that was cold and had not been toasted (I was never asked) and a side of veggie cream cheese, still in the container. Awesome. I was driving and intended to just eat and drive, but now I was expected to eat, drive, and spread. The coffee was large and iced, but bitter. No sweetener added. Okay. He is ALWAYS polite and takes care of the customers and very good with the employees' had a problem with one of the other manager's and she never apologized.
