Love this place! Great vibes! Very hipster and super cute. The employees were doing great with a constant influx of customers and online orders. The customers were all a really friendly crowd, as well. Their bakery items looked so yummy, I'll definitely be ordering one next time. I got their seasonal Sakura Sweetheart matcha, which has cherry blossom syrup in it. Literally so yummy and the quality is splendid. They even sell the ceremonial matcha that they use, which has always been a good indicator of quality/premium ingredients. Their seasonal menu looked AMAZING and they even had bouquets that you could send with coffee orders for Valentine's day which was beyond adorable and super unique. I will definitely be coming back to try more of their main menu coffees. The only thing to note is that the place can fill up really fast and their drinks sell out! read more

I was recently visiting Sanford and stopped by Palate Coffee Brewery. I ordered their gingerbread latte, and I absolutely loved it, such a cozy, flavorful drink. The location itself is very cute and inviting. It was a little hard to get to because the street is currently under construction, but that's understandable and temporary. Despite that, there were plenty of people inside enjoying their coffee, and it was actually very quiet, which made it even more enjoyable. The prices were typical coffee shop prices, and the staff was very welcoming. They gave us time to look over the menu without feeling rushed, which I really appreciated. I came by here late afternoon with a friend by her recc. I got a hot vanilla latte my usual but honestly could not finish it probably drunk about 30% of it and felt like it was enough energy I needed. It didn't even wear off easy either because I surprisingly couldn't fall sleep that night, the caffeine felt like it was as still going lol. Such a great little spot right by downtown! It's the perfect place to grab a coffee before strolling through the farmers market. We tried the Strawberry Matcha and the Pistachio Mocha Latte, and both were incredible. The homemade syrups tasted so fresh and really made each drink stand out. They have really fun seasonal flavored coffees and their coffee has an excellent taste (Americanos and cold brew are both excellent). Palate is a cute little coffee shop in the heart of downtown Sanford, and my personal fave coffee option in that area. My friend & I stopped in this past weekend to caffeinate before going thrifting and antique shopping. The gal who what working at the counter was super friendly and made some helpful bevvy suggestions. My friend go an iced dark chocolate pistachio latte and I got an iced lavender honey latte made with local honey. Both drinks were delish and gave us that shopping energy we needed! Quick note that there's a lot of construction happening in this area and their street is currently blocked off which I'm sure has been difficult for their business. Even more reason to make the effort to support them! We were able to find free parking in a nearby lot that was just a short walk down the street. read more

Great experience--the coffee was great, the quiche was tasty and the prices were reasonable. The service was fairly quick, and the space is cute. I will say it got relatively packed while we were inside and it got LOUD. Palate is a cute small coffee shop in Sanford. You can sit inside or outside. They have a mix of different drinks like soda, milk, beer and coffee. My son got a strawberry milk and I got an iced pistachio latte. The latte was very good, not a lot of pistachio flavoring but that's ok. It looks like a lot of people were inside on their laptops working and having coffee so it's good work area with a lot of comfortable seating. I stopped in at this coffee shop during my walk through the downtown Sanford area. While the outside may seem unassuming, inside is an adorable spot to fuel all your coffee and grab n go breakfast needs! The shop did seem short staffed so it took a little longer than usual for someone to take my order but once I was able to place my coffee order it was prepared fairly quickly! I always like to try seasonal flavors when I go to a new place so this time I had their maple pecan latte. It was well balanced and is one of the better iterations of a maple latte that I've tried! My friend ordered a bagel and we sat and chatted for a good while there. Definitely a place I'd like to go back to do some work or just chill and read a book! read more

I wanted to check out a unique coffee shop in Sanford and saw the beautiful matcha drinks they made through pictures on here. This location is so nice, just off of the Main Street, and the staff is very helpful in offering recommendations. I hadn't really had just an iced matcha before so the barista gave me her current favorite, which was a macadamia nut and coconut matcha that I did with oak milk. This cozy coffee house is amazing. Plenty of seating inside and there's additional seating outside as well. I had the carrot cake latte and it was absolutely delicious. It was so good. I didn't even want to drink the whole thing. I wanted to try to save it somehow lol. You can taste the flavor of carrot. It may sound weird, but it was so tasty and smooth. I tried this place on a day walking around after going to the farmers market. The inside is cute with a nice decor. The service was amazing as the barista answered all my questions about the many options. I ordered an iced coffee with cinnamon and honey. The taste was really good! The price was good and the fact that part of profits and proceeds go towards fighting sex trafficking was a plus, you love to know a business you support is helping the community! The only downsides were that the coffee wasn't that strong and the cup sizes were a bit small but I guess that equates to the pricing as it is less than most places for iced coffee. Next time I will get a large cold brew as I will definitely be coming back to try some more of their unique flavors. read more

SCAMMING NON-TRANSPARENT BUSINESS with good matcha. I went in to get a matcha and a coffee with my husband. After looking at the menu and placing my matcha order I saw on the order screen that it was significantly more. $2 more for the matcha. Making it $8 for matcha with the upcharge for oat milk I brought it up to the lady putting in my order that the price was different and she told me she gets it all the time of people saying something about the price. Saying that she hasn't updated the printed price menu they display as well as the prices on the menu board displayed large on the wall above the coffee station. If they cared about their customers and their business they would prioritize updating the prices rather than attempting to SCAM PEOPLE. At least put a sign up saying that the menu prices aren't updated! Especially when you're saying it's been several months since the prices were changed. My husband decided to not get a coffee for him (and his mom) and told me to get my matcha after the lady at the register asked if I still wanted it. My husband and I went to FOXTAIL for our coffee orders which I should have gone to from the beginning. Foxtails matcha is $5 with no upcharge for non-dairy milk. Go with a well known business and a business that's transparent with their customers. read more

I got the Sanford Sunrise sandwich without egg and the strawberry matcha with out milk. It was all so good. I have gone twice. The first experience was great! I enjoyed the iced coffee and the service was great. The second time I got a Carmel latte and the flavor was perfect. However, I will most likely not return after the service provided. I came in and was not greeted by the worker named G. She barely asked me or spoke to me when I ordered. Then she proceeded to make her own drink before mine was even made. When other customers came she greeted them and was attentive. Which I did not get the same experience. Decided to drive over to Palate after work to try out their matcha. Parking is easy to find - I parked on the street, but there's a lot within walking distance with plenty of spots. It's a bit dark inside due to most of the place being made of dark wood, so if you're looking to do work, be sure to grab a seat by the window - I liked seeing it packed with lots of people supporting a local business! Service was average - standard greeting, order, pick up.
