This place is still so very good. It has turned into a meetup place for my bestie. We meet here, have a coffee and/or breakfast and then we walk around Lake Lily or hit up the farmer's market. I love that this place has excellent coffee beverages. None of them are too sweet at all. I've gotten several different types of drinks and all of them just hit that spot. I am a hot coffee girly so love that the possibilities of that are endless here. This is a fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and then they bring you the food/drink. I was so very excited to try KOS. And it's not that it's bad, it's that it's good enough, and with the coffee scene in Orlando that's not enough to push you to 4 or 5 stars. We got the Marla's Iced- it was very bitter not well balanced and you couldn't taste the Mocha at all unfortunately. We also go the Chai Latte- this was much better it was sweet and very balanced spices and just the right amount of oat milk. I enjoyed this one. I needed a spot to hang out, have some coffee, and work while my wife was at an appointment nearby. There were a few coffee spots in the area but this one looked the most promising and I'm so glad I picked it! The barista was extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. He seemed to know everyone in the shop and addressed me by name the whole time I was there. I was intrigued by the seasonal drink offerings--and would like to come back to try some--but went with my usual americano since it was my first time trying their espresso! The barista picked an espresso for my drink that was perfect for an americano. Sometimes I add sugar, but this drink didn't need it at all. I also tried the cardamom bun, and although this visit was over a month ago at this point, I'm still thinking about that bun. Stopped in before the farmers market. Something that bothered me was the fact they used their flavored espresso in their iced latte without asking if that's what I wanted. Maybe it's their standard and that's on me but it wasn't what I expected. I also ordered a flat white but to be honest I'm positive I didn't get the right drink and left before I took my first sip. I drink flat white a lot. This felt like I was drinking straight espresso like they forgot my milk. Maybe they made me a cortado on accident. I should have gone back to rectify it. That's on me. I'm also all for speciality roasters and I fully understand the cost of beans so I'm willing to pay for whole bean but it felt like their whole bean was really overpriced. Always looking for a place that makes a good lavender americano. Today I tried a nicely blended americano with lavender at KOS coffee. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small interior with just a few tables but the free WiFi is a plus to encourage you to grab a cup and have a seat.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I also tried the rainy cloud matcha which was delicious. I enjoyed the coconut water they put in the matcha and I wonder if I ever have had that before. I think it's always just been regular water. The barista was so super nice and gave me a sample of the strawberry drip coffee as I had already ordered before I noticed it. I love black coffee and the flavor of strawberries was subtly present and I imagine with cream it would also be delightful. I thought for the size it should be less than $5 and the $8 price point for the matcha at that small size feels like a lot too. BUT it was delicious and if you are looking to indulge this is a good stop. They have limited seating inside and every spot was full when I visited on a Monday afternoon. They also have a few seating options outside as well. The space is minimal and well-designed with some cool merch available for purchase. The menu is pretty straightforward with all the classic coffee drinks (espresso, drip, cappuccino, latte, flat white, cold brew, americano, etc.) and some pastry items. What a great local gem KOS coffee is probably one of my favorites in the area! The baristas were great in walking em through the menu, including some of their unique coffee offerings (like the Banana phone latte!) and the space was cute! I've visited here twice. The service is nice and I like the decor of the place. It's the coffee isn't bad but not my favorite around town. I tried their breakfast sandwich, The Queen Sonja, which is overpriced to me ($15). The best thing about it is the bread itself, other than that, there wasn't much flavor with the egg, bacon, cheddar cheese, red onion, and avocado. After asking some questions about the menu , I decided to order an iced coffee ube flavor . The waitress told me ahead of time if it wasn't sweet enough she would make it over , but it was good . It wasn't overly sweet, but sweet enough. I also decided to order the Brekkie sandwich made with egg and cheese & Mayo, you can also add bacon for an additional charge. The staff was so nice and helpful. The ambience was beautiful & relaxing enough to do some work or just relax and have some coffee and a bite to eat . They also sell tea, wine and other goodies.
