I messaged the company and was advised "...we can't be liable for items damaged in shipping, we do our best but it is not in our hands...". An offer for free shipping on our next order was offered. I don't choose the packaging for the product or how they ship it. My mom did pay the extra $9 for cold shipping. The whole box was packed like no one cared how it arrived. What I can choose is where we will spend our money and peace of mind is no longer on that list. UPDATE: Nancy wrote back blaming UPS for this issue. She wrote, " ..I understand your frustration, but we sent the items out in perfect condition, the blame is on the carrier, so therefore you could file a claim with UPS. Small business' are not responsible for packages that are damaged by UPS and we would all go under if we took that responsibility on." I could accept that if the outside box had not arrived in perfect condition with no other items affected. This is an issue if the plastic packaging breaking because it gets too cold and shatters. Businesses tend to go under when they fail their customers and don't take responsibility for issues that are theirs. If you value your money, beware.

A few things to know: The donuts are big. The picture of the glazed pumpkin shows a toothpick for scale; they're thicker than a 2x4 (but taste better). The hours are different than most places. They're only open Wednesday through Saturday, from 3 AM to 11 AM weekdays and 5 AM to 11:30 AM on Saturday. The flavors are variable, but that's exciting; I usually find something I've never had before. How's the flavor? The glazed pumpkin is VERY "pumpkin forward" and not too much glaze. The cake was a great texture, cooked through in spite of the size. It's a really wonderful donut, and will satisfy any appetite. The banana cream pie was new to me. I included the picture after a few bites to show the banana cream filling. In this picture the full size vanilla wafer can confirm the scale. The banana cream was really good and didn't have the artificial taste that so many have. The chocolate was just enough but I ate the cookie separately to avoid possibly squeezing out the cream. A nice combination. Check your timing if you're in the area, but definitely give this place a try.

We did like the donuts, but the other two donuts just didn't make me want to get them again. However, the cider holy cannoli is a donut not to be missed!
