The barista who assisted me was working solo. She was super friendly and happy to answer my questions. I was glad to hear they offer decaf espresso. I opted to try one of their seasonal lattes - the Mounds Bar latte with almond milk, mocha and coconut cold foam. It took only a few minutes for my order to be prepared. I did find the drink to be slightly sweet for my taste and would ask for half sweet on my next visit. For the lactose intolerant, they have almond and oat milk options. They also have several pastries and some hot food options to choose from like overnight oats and breakfast burritos from Burrito Perdido. They also sometimes give out free donuts to those in costume on Halloween and if you perform musical numbers during special promotions. There was a huge, badly choreographed dance party in front of the store and it was one the most embarrassing things I've ever witnessed. They needed police out there to keep order, not that it helped at all. Other than that, I like it but I don't go as often as I'd like for obvious reasons.
