The store owner was super friendly and inviting, she keeps the store well stocked, organized, and clean. If you're looking for a great new book or unique item to take home they have plenty of that to go around. The owner serves up fresh delicious coffee, a variety of light food items, pastries, and snacks.There are several comfortable seating areas available to relax while you enjoy your delight's with that new great read. In the back of the store there is a small art studio dedicated to clowns which I thought was awesomely weird and cool. My wife and I love clowns and the circus so this was a hit with us. I ordered the Fontina Panino (vegan sausage, fontina cheese, arugula and fennel mustard on ciabatta) and a cortado to drink. We take out seat in the very cool back room, and only after 5 or so minutes the drink and food arrives. Now I am a complete foodie, really tough on everything I eat, but after one bite I was in love. To the point where I asked Lauren, the owner, what mustard they were using, and then ordered a panini press when I got home hoping to recreate the magic. Perfectly chewy bread, just the right balance of sweet and savory, and that mustard. Truly amazing. My wife ordered the avocado toast which she said was perfection. I wish I could bundle this place up and ship it to New Haven because I'd be eating one of those sandwiches every week. As for everything else: The service was great. The truffles were out of this world good and the flavors were spot on. The latte was also the perfect cross between espresso and hot chocolate. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! They also have a grab and go area with food, drinks, bagged coffee and merch. The staff is so friendly and helpful too. I tried their specialty Cherry Mocha Latte with sweet cold foam and it was fantastic - no overly sweet at all. All drinks are served with a small Madeline cookie, which was delicious. They also sell handmade cards and I decided to pick up one of those as the designs were so cute and funny. Highly recommend!
