I was looking forward to a legit small-town baked goods and picked up a couple donuts and a…read morecinnamon roll before headed to some local trails. I ordered asked for an apple cider donut, and while she was grabbing that I was looking at what else to get, I ended up getting a Boston Creme donut and a cinnamon bun. Later on the trail when I opened bag to eat the goods, I saw that instead of an apple cider donut I'd been given some sort of chocolate donut? I guess that's my bad for not checking, but it's hard to imagine how apple cider donut gets misheard. As it turns out, the chocolate donut and the cinnamon bun were inedible. They were so dry and stale. The chocolate donut was so dry it literally fell apart into crumbs. I was eating these at noon, so it's not like they were end of day goods. The Boston Creme did taste fresh and it was okay, but 1 out of 3 is pretty bad odds.

There was some really good fines. Some we weren't thrilled with, but I have to say the crushed potato seasoning is so good. You can put it on fish. It really gives a great flavor and texture. Refrigeration here is not appropriate. Perishables from here don't last at all. Most glaringly, the manager, Mirabel, has a nasty attitude. I buy here with the understanding that I'm buying fresh, farm-grown or farm-sourced produce, not supermarket items. There are no clear signs or disclosures in the store explaining that some produce comes from outside sources. I find this extremely misleading and feel customers deserve complete transparency about where their food actually comes from. It completely changes my perception of what I thought I was supporting when shopping at a farm stand. I will not be returning.
