Amazingly, there aren't that many donut places in this general Rockford, Belvedere, Machesney, Park…read moreLoves Park, Caledonia area..... I went by around noon and almost all the donuts were gone (a good sign!) and there was still a line in the drive-through. Naturally, I was inside. I had a super puffy glazed doughnut. Had a pretty thick coating of glaze, but it needed it because the donut was so thick. Please see photo. The other doughnut was something called Butter Nutter or something and looked like a Butterfinger was smashed and put over the top of the donut. See photo. I worried that the super thick glazed donut was going to be raw because it was so enormous, but it was cooked well enough where it was fine. It's sort of a skin on it like a bagel. Tasted really good. The other doughnut was super super sweet like sugar on top of sugar. I wouldn't have normally ordered it, but they were out of everything else that I normally would order. Good but too sweet for me. Again it was fried crispy, which is how I liked donuts. The ambience is what you would expect in an old donut shop... comfortably worn... I'll be back when I need a doughnut in this area.. Bonus: They also had fresh unsweet tea, which is great!

I drove 15 miles for nothing . Not exactly professional in my opinion. I can totally understand needing a break or taking some time off, but you need to hire someone to keep it running so you aren't taking that break at your customers expense.

First off, one of the managers, Emily admits to her co workers that she goes 3 weeks without showering. (Probably longer, just what she told multiple people, and she sure does smell like sour panties.) Not only does she stink, but she admitted to having bed bugs and fleas for a few years now and has given them to multiple employees there, including myself on multiple occasions. She also eats her scabs off her head (probably not scabs probably just dirt build up) she does not wash her hands and touches food with bare hands. If you ever got sick after eating here, well that's probably why. Well that and they also never do their food safety checks lol they just write random shit down everyday. Like leftovers? Good, that's what they serve at 2pm, yesterday's leftovers. Yep Taco Bell is food poisoning central. Not just this one. All of them. This just happens to be the nastiest one I've been in due to personal hygiene issues. Oh yeah, that sign that says the check the bathroom every 30 minutes.... lol I think I'm the only one that ever did in the year I worked there. On my days off nobody cleaned it ever. Definitely wouldn't sit on the toilet seat if I were you. One time there was the same dirty footprints on the toilet for over 2 weeks. I got UTIs left and right working there due to holding in my pee bc of how nasty it was. And if you were thinking of working here, I'd think twice unless you wanna be sexually harassed by your boss (Jerry) & thrown under the bus for his mistakes. & his boss Pam will make you think she's different but she must've trained him to be that way, because she won't respond to any complaints, just try to keep Jerrys image looking well. Maybe she doesn't care bc she just wants to retire. Either way it's messed up because she was aware of every complaint I have discussed in this review. I believe their solution was moving him to the state street store after I quit so he could mess that one up too. It's sad really that they are so desperate they need to hold on to all these wart of employees. Jerry also steals money from his store and employees. If you ever have money go missing and tell him, you'll notice he doesn't do anything or care. Why? Because he's the one doing it. Ask him what happend at Sbarro and the cleaning company.... They also will not pay you your PTO after approving it, if you work there. Which is illegal. But hey what can you expect from a company that has been sued for not properly paying employees? I fully expect there to be another lawsuit soon If you ever go there and wonder why it's taking so long for someone to help you, they're probably doing drugs in the back of the store or having sex in the cooler. Yup you read that right. If you're gonna work at or eat fast food, go to McDonald's. They treat their employees better and their crew people make more money than a manager at Taco Bell.... And they are clean and actually check the food for food safety issues. Needless to say I'm glad I got out of there. It's 2025 people you don't need to work for some run down fast food place that serves alien food out of a bag. And you certainly don't need to be eating that crap. I now work as a sole proprietor off of an app on my phone and I make double what that hell hole was paying. Smarter not harder, and remember eat literally anywhere else.

I waited five minutes while 3 employees were hanging out in the office with no masks on. First off, unacceptable that they were in a small room at work with no masks on. When they came out, they walked by the counter several times before I had to call out "excuse me, I am here to pick up my order." The employee walked over and said, "so your pizza got burnt. Do you want us to make another one?" I have no idea what place asks this. This isn't a question unless burnt pizza is on your menu. Of course I said yes, and the man said "okay, it will take about 8 minutes." 25 minutes later my pizza and order was given to me. Here's what was disappointing. Instead of remaking a pizza the instant he knew it was burnt (which they knew before I arrived), they waited for me to arrive to tell them to remake it. If they would have remade it when they noticed, it would have saved me time waiting. They seemed to be having a great time in the office hanging out. Very disappointed for my first time getting "Famous Casey's Pizza." I guess that is what I should have expected for a gas station. Everyone always says, "No you've got to have their pizza because it's not typical gas station pizza." Well the service wasn't typical period. No refund or discount was offered. *Drives home wishing I had ordered Pizza Hut next door*
