Amazingly, there aren't that many donut places in this general Rockford, Belvedere, Machesney, Park Loves Park, Caledonia area..... I went by around noon and almost all the donuts were gone (a good sign!) and there was still a line in the drive-through. Naturally, I was inside. I had a super puffy glazed doughnut. Had a pretty thick coating of glaze, but it needed it because the donut was so thick. Please see photo. The other doughnut was something called Butter Nutter or something and looked like a Butterfinger was smashed and put over the top of the donut. See photo. I worried that the super thick glazed donut was going to be raw because it was so enormous, but it was cooked well enough where it was fine. It's sort of a skin on it like a bagel. Tasted really good. The other doughnut was super super sweet like sugar on top of sugar. I wouldn't have normally ordered it, but they were out of everything else that I normally would order. Good but too sweet for me. Again it was fried crispy, which is how I liked donuts. The ambience is what you would expect in an old donut shop... comfortably worn... I'll be back when I need a doughnut in this area.. Bonus: They also had fresh unsweet tea, which is great! read more

donuts are great, but they close a little too early in the day and then take a random vacation for 15 days of January without updating Google information. Google says it was open. I drove 15 miles for nothing . Not exactly professional in my opinion. I can totally understand needing a break or taking some time off, but you need to hire someone to keep it running so you aren't taking that break at your customers expense. read more

We are blessed to have this place in Belvidere! Always fresh donuts in a wide variety. The bagel breakfast sandwiches are incredible. I bring my employees there to have our individual review meeting, and they always look forward to it. Staff is super friendly too! My only critique is that they shut down for a month or so every winter and I am deprived of the donuts lol. One of the bright spots of our city! read more

These donuts are delicious. They're so big, almost too big to eat a whole one. The outside of the donut has a nice crunch and the inside is soft and doughy. The frosting/glaze is nice and thick. The Bavarian Crème donut was stuffed with crème. Will definitely be going back. read more

The donuts are delicious!!! So I stop one day after work to grab a couple for my mom to try. The guy at the drive thru was acting really strange. I got my donuts and left. I thought to myself he was very friendly today. Take the donuts to my mom and she called asking if I ate a donut. I told her no. She send me a picture of a half eaten donut in the bag with her 2 donuts. We called to complain and the manager was in a meeting supposedly. The German Chocolate was good but I liked the red velvet better and the other one I didn't try as it was a Boston Cream which I do not like but I hear it was very traditional and expected. Their donuts are fresh and delicious. Every doughnut I had from there was very good. It's a bit of a drive for me, but it's worth it.

Discovered this gem of a donut shop traveling long distance on I-90. Great variety of donuts and great coffee. Bright clean spacious shop and friendly obliging staff. Enjoyed a sour cream cake donut, a blueberry cake donut, a French cruller, and an apple fritter. Got a large drip brew coffee. It was also fresh and tasty. So glad to have found this and plan to visit again next time I'm traveling on I-90. Ps. It is not a big detour off the interstate as you use State St to jump back on I-90 further down the road. read more

HORRIBLE SERVICE. Very rude staff! Bought a donut and sat in their cafe working using the wifi they offer to customers while waiting for my car to be repaired. You think they would welcome the business. Instead, they accused me of "hurting their small business" for sitting and working on my computer for 90 mins. If there is a time limit, then they should post it or post a minimum purchase. Electricity to run a laptop for two hours is not even a cent. I would understand them saying that I am "hurting their business" if I didn't buy something and just used the wifi. I was not causing any trouble. Because of their unnecessary outburst, I will never go there EVER again. If you want to go somewhere to go for donuts and coffee and not worry about being kicked out for not causing trouble, this place is not for you.
