It is located in the old Waterdown, Ontario that is now merged into City of Hamilton. It is a curtain fall that is 10m high and 5m wide. It is beautiful, powerful and breathtaking. To get to the Great Falls, go south on Mills Street North, go under a railway bridge, park at the Smokey Hollow Park on the right. You have arrived at the entrance of a hiking trail that leads to the Great Falls.

Also, there are giant rocks and logs to sit on. I feel like Sherman Falls is somewhere you go in the autumn. You would see the leaves being colors. There's a small fee enter (around $11/vehicle). It's done through a park kisok. You can use the same parking ticket at Tiffany Falls within around 2 hours or so. The price not too bad for vehicle with at least 3 people. There's lots of parking nearby (compared at Tiffany Falls). If you visit in the afternoon, it's might be a little hard to find a spot.

Do a good deed today. If you have a trash bag in your car, bring it with you and I'll bet you can find a couple of pieces to pack out and dispose of properly. The second, is the paved path down the mountain to the stairs. It's easy going down and there's even a water fountain to drink from at the bottom near the stairs. Going up is a little more challenging, it takes about 20 minutes each way. I really like both paths, but if you are worried about getting muddy shoes, then just take the paved path.

The path through the woods is very well marked and easy to follow up it's clear that some folks think it's okay to wander off the path. I stuck to the route and the observation platform. Partly because I'm a rule follow and partly because I'm the clumsy sort that would fall and hurt myself. Leave only footprints, take only photos. It was definitely a good trail with a few up and down slopes so be careful if you are going now during the winter. And it is a perfect trail if you want to get about 8,000 steps! This is a very easy trail. Or at least I think it is since this is only my second time hiking. We only hiked half the trail so it's hard to give it a fair review. For what we saw, the scenery wasn't exactly picturesque but was peaceful since there wasn't too many people around. We did manage to get some really nice family fun photos. It's like we had our own private photo studio so it was a lot fun. I probably will try coming back again since we didn't complete the whole trail. If you are looking for a easy trail, then give this place a try.

It's a nice little park tucked off of Gore road. Wide, easy trail that would be good for kids and mountain bikers alike. Confederation Park has been a part of my life pretty much forever. I've been coming here since I…read morewas a kid, and it's still one of my favourite spots in Hamilton to just get outside and enjoy the waterfront. It's a great place for walking, biking, rollerblading, or just relaxing by the water. On a really clear day, you can even see CN Tower and the Toronto skyline across the lake, which is always cool to spot. Adventure Village is a cute little mini park area nearby that kids will especially love, and while Wild Water Works is just okay in my opinion, it's still a fun option on a hot summer day. One of the true classics here is Hutch's on the Beach. We've been going there for years for fries, fish & chips, and ice cream...though it can get SUPER packed during peak times. There are also some other nice-looking spots like Barangas on the Beach that add to the area's appeal. Unfortunately, over the last few years the park has definitely become more crowded and more litter-filled, which is disappointing. But despite that, I've still always enjoyed my time here and have a lot of nostalgia attached to this place.

The weather was a bit chilly, it told him about 28 mins to finish and age group 2nd place award. There was fruit for him afterward. The beach was beautiful, people around were so nice that helped us to take some pictures. The beach line was long, I felt I had burnt lots of calories. Residents around could run, bike, or swim there. This is a great place to relax in summer.
