Tried the Shrimp & Pork Xiao Long Bao today. It looked sooo good and tasted great. First time I tried this dumpling at Dumpling Mix. Whe. It arrived at our table it was "whoa, look at that." Thanks for another great meal.

Ambiance: it's a trendy comfort food restaurant located in a strip mall, spacious and clean inside, comfortable sofa seats Service: friendly and attentive, served food and refilled water adequately Food: their menu has a focus on dumplings and noodles Braised Beef Noodle Soup - **** a bowl of noodle soup, topped with beef, veggies, pickles, cilantro, and green onions, flavorful broth, tender beef slice, noodles were a bit soggy, still tasty overall, recommend Price: generous positions and reasonable prices, expect $25 per person for a fulfilling meal

Located at 705 North Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach, Dumpling Mix is a Chinese eatery specializing in Sichuan flavors and handcrafted dumplings made fresh daily. It is all great. You will love it all. The place is not huge, but there is plenty of seating and you can also get take away and delivery. The service is great. You can get a paper menu, just ask for it, I hate those things that go on your phone. they have great numbing-spicy chili oil dumplings to comforting steamed pork buns. It is all authentic regional Chinese cuisine. The industrial type dining room has lovely dangling red lanterns and a communal dumpling bar. They have great Sichuan mouthwatering chicken, plump boiled dumplings, or crispy-bottomed potstickers. There is nothing not to like here and you will be happy. The prices are fair.

Craving a beef roll and this place had some pictures of it. Ordered: beef roll - 6/10, pancake was very doughy, decent filling, but everything was chopped too finely. hot and sour soup - 6/10, someone put too much cornstarch slurry in. popcorn chicken with basil - interesting plating; not used to basil being fully attached to stems. Chicken was good. Wish the chicken was tossed with basil before served. sesame noodles with chicken - 7/10. $3 chicken add-on was sparse. Noodles seem like they're housemade, a plus. chicken and corn dumplings - 7/10. Decently filled. Dough is not QQ, but serviceable and consistent thickness. Decor is nice; plates and bowls have the restaurant name monogrammed. Service was relatively quick. Got there on a Sunday evening, less than half of the dining room was occupied. They have a cute Lulu-style canvas bag if you have a lot of leftovers.

We (2 female) ordered cucumber salad, wood ear salad, pork Xiao Long Bao, and Braise Beef Noodle Soup. Everything was absolutely delicious and full of flavor! Highly recommend this place--we'll definitely be back!

I'm glad Dumpling House opened locally--it's always great to have more dining options nearby, and the menu is impressively large. Unfortunately, much of the food we tried lacked flavor. The standout dish was the orange chicken, which was really enjoyable and well prepared. Service was great and very attentive, which made the experience more pleasant overall. I'd say it's worth trying, especially for the convenience, but I hope the flavors improve over time.

this location was not busy on saturday afternoon so the customer service was fast and attentive. dishes were brought out a reasonable pace. ordered: surf and turf dumplings - average dumpling experience sesame noodles - the star of the show!!! flavorful and yummy cucumber salad - good sauce, cucumbers were not super crisp potato string shrimp - interesting but not something to rave about

I appreciate every Taiwanese joint that tries to expand the cultural diversity of the LA South Bay. Dumpling Mix is offering a non-veggie option in this strip mall of Redondo Beach and I am here for it! Menu was extensive. - We came for the Taiwanese basil popcorn chicken. This is my youngest's favorite and not all Taiwanese restaurants offer this - We tried noodles - of course, our favorites are beef noodle soups in light and dark broths. - ordered the dumpling noodle soup - this I'll pass on next time as didn't have much flavor - We tried dumplings - free order if you spend more than $50 Really legit as all the staff spoke Chinese. Kitchen was shouting stuff to the bus boys in Chinese. Love it! Our favorite here was the popcorn chicken. Noodles were decent.

This place is good for Taiwanese food and dumplings. We got the cabbage and pork and with the deal with minimum spend..we also got the corn and chicken dumplings. They were both soupy flavorful. The beer noodle soup was good but there is wasn't enough umami flavor despite the beef being very tender. The scallion pancake is very good. The beer rolls were also really good and tender but it was hard to hold together to eat. The staff was very nice and attentive and gave us what we needed such as a water and whatnot and good choices on the menu.

Always delightful to dine here, clean and comfortable environment, friendly service, and delicious food. My favorites this time: marinated cucumber, braised pork meatballs, string beans, and beef rolls.

Very good food and excellent service! The ambiance is clean and modern - pleasant. No beer, not a dealbreaker but would be nice to have a cold one with some soup dumplings or spicy noodles. Seemed reasonably price for high quality food. 4.5 stars

I've gone a few times now. A very casual modern Chinese dumpling house. Cute deco and setting. Service was prompt and came back to check on us a few times. Food was fresh, clean and not oily. See pictures! I will def be back. They are having a special offer, spend $50 and get free dumplings. You get a full order!

So happy to have finally tried Dumping Mix since it's so close by! Ordered takeout. 5 stars for the Popcorn chicken: perfectly crispy on the outside juicy on the inside. This dish alone has me wanting to come back all the time. The beef shank is also delicious since it is tender and flavors perfectly balanced with the cucumber and cilantro. Also tried their pork belly sandwich, pork meatball, and beef roll. My only nitpick is on the beef roll I think the dough has a slightly better texture at Northern Cafe but otherwise had great flavor. I will be coming back to reorder the popcorn chicken and to try other dishes like the dumplings, since those must be good given the name of the restaurant.

Located on the corner of PCH and Penn Ave, the restaurant features its own 16-car parking lot. Inside, the décor is quite casual, and it is spacious enough to accommodate 50 guests. Upon arrival, the friendly staff promptly guided us to our table and brought menus and water right away. While perusing their menu, we found out they have stinky tofu. Yes, stinky tofu! The dish, with its pungent aroma and unique flavor, caused the ultimate sensory conflict between the taste and smell when we tried it for the first time. So, in a benign masochistic way, we went ahead and ordered their Crispy Spicy Stinky Tofu with Pork. When the dish arrived, we apologized profusely to our next table patrons for the smell, and even offered to let them try it, which they unhesitatingly and politely refused. This restaurant's version was slightly different. The fried tofu cubes had a tougher texture, less airy, and were lightly flavored. The sauce was nicely spicy, but the ground pork was present only in spirit because we couldn't find it. Overall, it was not too bad, but it could be better. Besides the tofu dish, we also ordered their Seafood in Crab Meat Sauce Noodle. This was an interesting dish. The soup came separately from the noodles and starchy sauce, which had shrimp and fish fillet toppings. This setup allows you to dilute the soup's thickness to your liking. The noodles were nicely al dente, the sauce was well seasoned, and the shrimp and fish filets had a great texture. Crab meat sauce was blended in the broth and kind of MIA. Lastly, we ordered Black Pepper Seafood Rice Cake. The sauce was pleasantly savory, a tad sweet, and slightly spicy from black peppers. The sliced rice cakes had a perfect texture: neither too soft nor too hard. The pieces of squid and fish filet toppings had a very nice consistency. The prices were reasonable and the food was very good. Recommended.

We ordered the xiao long bao, broccoli beef, beef rolls, and chicken chow mein. The xiao long bao was excellent with a good amount of soup in each dumpling, and the beef rolls were probably my favorite item, especially dipped in a mix of black vinegar and soy sauce. The broccoli beef had a nice flavor, though I wished it had a little more meat. The chicken chow mein was the weakest dish for me: the noodle texture was great, but the overall flavor didn't stand out as much as I expected. Ordering was easy and the menu was very approachable thanks to the pictures. The restaurant is on the smaller side, which actually made it easier to get a server's attention when needed. Food also came out pretty quickly. The ambiance is straightforward and comfortable -- nothing fancy, just a solid neighborhood restaurant. Because it's small, you may have to wait if it gets busy, but tables seemed to turn over quickly thanks to the fast service. One practical tip: the portion sizes are bigger than they look.
