King Dumpling in Pembroke Pines on University. . Definitely the best dumplings in South Florida. Made fresh on their open kitchen. They have been expanding their menus but I stayed their soup dumplings. I also ordered seafood noodle soup. A great deal for $12. This is a must try and sample their items on their expanded menu.
Good food and fairly quick to come out too. The soup dumplings were pretty good aside from a thicker skin. Brown sugar milk tea was great too with light sugar and boba. Parking was a breeze since they have a lot.
It feels like your usual hole in the wall Asian restaurant (compliment) even though it's somewhat of a regional chain and I gotta say they crushed it. You're greeted as soon as you walk in and the vibe is chill and you immediately know the food is going to be good. The parking lot is full of spaces and I don't think you'll ever run into issues with parking. Ordering is straightforward and the menu is a mix of American-Chinese (with some more chinese-leaning) comfort foods including braised chicken rice, a variety of dumplings (steamed soup, boiled) as well as noodle dishes. Ordered several of the steamed soup dumplings and the Shanghai Style were my favorite. Considering they cost close to $1.50 per dumpling, this is probably the best value soup dumpling I've had in a while (coming from TX). The cold sesame noodles were also good (basic, nothing amazing) and I was blown away by how much chicken the chicken dish actually had (most places are 50% batter, this was like 90% chicken!). The waiter saw me waffling on ordering boba tea in the evening and offered to make it with water. Not the best bang for the buck, but he was super chill about customizing it so I'm grateful he allowed me to have my boba and drink ti too. Will be back next time I'm in North Miami.
Went in to dumpling king on a random afternoon for a snack. I ordered some steamed dumplings and a boba tea. It wasn't too busy, I was quickly attended and they took my order. The service was fast and efficient. The place looks clean and tidy. My order came relatively quickly and was good overall. I was hoping for my dumplings to have a bit more flavor, it regardless I would like to return and try more things off the menu as I am a fan of dumplings ! See you soon
The place is always packed, it doesn't matter what time it is. The place is small snout 12 tables. The staff makes you feel at home. It's like a mom and pa place. Love that they are growing with a new location in Boca Raton. The staff are . Mostly family. Rick is the best. He welcomes you with his smile and energy. He is fast and can serve the whole place by himself. I love the soup dumplings. It's brought out in a dream wood basket and when they open the lid it's steaming. Everything is freshly made and you can taste it. My go to is the beef spicy dip noodle soup served in a spicy broth. The house fried rice and fried dumplings. This is truly a hidden gem and so good and authentic.
Anything less than 5 stars for dumpling king is a disservice to the restaurant. The quality speed and deliciousness of their food is hard to find in North Miami. I consider them one of the best Asian restaurants in the area and the line of people they have every night agrees. The soup dumplings are always a hit but more surprisingly I really also enjoyed their cold sesame noodles. A nice break on a hot day the inside is well curated enough and has plenty of space for a date night for two. Lever parties are going to want to place a reservation before hand.
This is one of my favorite hidden gem, hole-in-the-wall spots. Family-run with warm, welcoming vibes and happy energy 24/7. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and made with care. Service is attentive, fast, and personable -- you feel like they actually know their regulars. The steamed dumplings are light and perfectly balanced, while the fried dumplings hit with that crisp bite everyone craves. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and it's the kind of place where you can come hungry and leave full and smiling. Definitely a go-to for comfort food done right.
SOUP DUMPLINGS!!! Dumpling King serves legit soup dumplings! I love their friendly service. It's not your first date spot, but take your besties who are foodies!!! I highly recommend this place.
Easy parking. Today walked in and lucked out with quick seating. Tried a few dumplings, the standout was the kimchi pork pan fried ones. Highly recommend. They have some non dumpling dishes too and boba tea for those fans. Place is small. Casual. Only downer is the bathroom could use some love. Other than that, still a fan favorite!
I went in today because it had been almost a year since I had gone and dined. Since I found them six years ago I loved their food and service until today which left me disgusting and disappointing with my meal. They used to have delicious sesame chicken made with real breast meat this was stringy, tough, tasteless dark meat even though I asked twice, and the server lied. The onion pancakes were medicore where this use to be delicious now fried dough with light sprinkles of chives! The soup dumplings which is the main reason why I use to love this place we're drained no soup just dumplings and I pointed it out to the waiter who didn't even care but stood quiet and stared at me, to hand me the bill and see if I was done. This was so disappointing and my food was awful, the shortcuts that are being taken to save money is at the cost of the customer. I'm still traumatized over how bad this meal was and the dumbfounded server who could care less. I hate when an establishment that use to be wonderful slacks and cuts corners with the meal! Yes customers who like your food will notice and this was again awful. Not to mention a server that shows some concerns when you point out that the meal is not good and why!!! If management is reading this you guys need to do better!!!
Dumpling King is a solid 4 stars for me. I ordered the beef soup dumplings and it was pretty good. I think the outside was a little dry but the flavor of the filling was delicious. I didn't try too much, but I think it's a staple in the area. There's also free parking and Asian markets nearby. It would be worth trying while in NMB!
Eh, don't do it. Wasn't thrilled with service, flavor, cleanliness and the boba was stale/ or hard for some reason. They don't use real tea either. . Won't be back.

Super yummy!!! I'm originally from the Bay Area and I've had many different dumplings. For the prices this was freaking amazing! My server suggested the Shanghai dumplings and they were a nice size with a perfect amount of soup when you broke into it. The vinegar mixture was so yummy! The sever was super friendly and I loved that it has a mom and pop vibe to it. The boba I was eh on but definitely gunna come back and try some more! Finally got to try Dumpling King, and boy was it worth the drive! Located in the North Miami Beach area, it's hole-in-the-wall appearance makes this place seem quite deceiving. My aunt and I tried them out for lunch on a Saturday afternoon, and there was plenty of seating available upon arrival. We started off with some cold bubble tea's first, I opted for Almond ($4.00), and she the Taro ($4.00). After perusing through the menu, we decided on an order of the Shanghai Style Soup Steamed Dumplings ($9.99), Deep Fried Chicken Wings ($4.00), Green Onion Cake ($4.50), and The Fried Fresh Pak Choi with Mushroom ($13.99). The bubble tea's were tasty, but the tapioca bubbles were a tad over-cooked, hence making them very sticky, and clumped together. The first plate of food we received was the Pak Choi with Mushrooms. This consisted of baby bok choi, with shiitake mushrooms. They were incredible! I have never seen shiitake mushrooms the size we were given, and I was very impressed. The dish was so tasty, I could have licked the plate clean! Soon after came out the fried chicken wings, and the scallion pancake. Both dishes were also cooked very well. The chicken wings were perfectly crisp and crunchy, and not overly greasy. The scallion pancake was good, but I can't say it's my favorite thing to typically order. Last but not least, came the Shanghai soup dumplings. Unfortunately with these, I was super disappointed. The dough part of the dumpling was so hard, it was pretty gross. Traditionally, soup dumplings should be delicate hence why they need to be handled very carefully. The dough should have been soft to touch, so that the liquid inside could be sucked out, and then eaten. This dish did not portray any of these qualities, and the flavor of the pork was not very good. Overall, I was impressed with the restaurant, and the other dishes. The best by far was the Pak Choi with mushrooms, which I highly recommend! I will definitely return, and will try their other dumplings to see if they are any better. Shortly after I learned of this new restaurant in my prior go-to spot for bubble tea (Shing Wang), I saw some posts of the health violations, and it really cooled my enthusiasm. Fast forward a few months to today, and my friends' lamenting the closure of Philip Ho's in Sunny Isles (the only dim sum option in the North half of the county). I remembered my bookmark and headed in. I'm happy to report that everything seems to be spotless, and they must have really learned from that experience. On to the food: "special fried rice" was bursting with shrimp, ham and chicken and even the small size was plenty for 3 of us to share ($7, I think). Soup dumplings are a must and hard to find in Miami - these were great. I'm a big fan of scallion pancakes, but I prefer the Korean seafood version to DK's, which are still solid (worth the $4). A plate of pan fried pork dumplings later we were very satisfied. Bubble/boba tea is still great here, and another "must" if you've never tried it. Today I sipped the papaya and loved it (priced like anything of comparable size at Starbucks, but with much more complexity and "love"). DK is an independent operation doing what it does well, and learning from the past. It's current popularity means it will do fine without another endorsement, but I'm happy to add my praise and look forward to another visit much sooner than it took to go today. read more
This place was a pleasant surprise. Dumpling goodness! Dumpling King is a perfect stop for not only a variety of classic dumplings, but several other delicious dishes as well. It is a quaint little shop with decor that is warm, trendy, and minimalist. It is very clean and has a decent amount of tables. All the dumplings are truly delicious. You can tell they are made with fresh ingredients and made to order. The classic pork and chive dumplings are a stand out if you are looking for familiar flavors. Although the filling was slightly more greasy and slightly more executed than I prefer, but the price was reasonable and still very tasty. The filling was generous in portion. Not to forget the standard soy/ginger dipping sauce that made the dumplings perfect. That would have greatly helped to cut the fat of the pork and whatever greasy oil in which they are frying these dumplings. The Shanghai Style Soup Dumplings are one of the best dumplings they have. The soup was a little salty or even fishy, like a lobster flavor. Although, it was consisted of pork; more flavors are packed in one bite. It really felt like I was eating this in China. It was outrageously good and I really recommend trying it. To eat these soup dumplings, put one on your spoon and make a hole either at the top or at the side of the dumpling. The soup should spill on your spoon and this will help cool it because scalding soup in your mouth sucks, duh. You must definitely try the honey chicken wings too! I licked my fingers clean of the yumminess. These are good my friends. My favorite noodle dish was the braised pork soup noodle! These dishes are usually hit or miss at most places, but it truly is a hit at the Dumpling King. It is a pretty decent serving size too! I definitely recommend it. The service at the Dumpling Shop was superb and everyone was very friendly. You can tell this business is really passionate about their business. Overall, a wonderful dumpling place that I would definitely recommend checking out. read more

This is not the place you take your date on the first date. This is the place you go to get really good dumplings of different kinds. I cannot vouch for their other Chinese food but their dumplings are definitely one of the best in Miami. The pan fried dumplings are huge and so juicy. I prefer their pan fried dumplings over the boiled ones but we order both every time. If you are craving good authentic Chinese dumplings with no fuss this place is amazing!!! read more

Had the Shanghai Style Soup Steamed Dumplings and the broth inside them was amazing! It was definitely like a warm hug I chose the jasmine boba tea and it was light and creamy with chewy boba yummm The service was fast my friend and I were in and out in 30 minutes. I wish they gave us a menu first instead of making us pay at the counter but other than that great food with decent prices read more

TLDR: Food - 8 Service - 6 Decor - 5 Price - 8 Would I go back? Definitely After a day hanging out at the boat show for a couple of hours, I was ready to destroy some good food before heading to the movies. A friend suggested another place in the area, but when I opened Yelp and saw DUMPLING KING I couldn't help but check out the reviews. After some looking, I was sold on heading there for lunch. Upon arriving, the place was quite small, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It was very plain inside and the decor consisted primarily of pictures of food on the walls. As long as the food is good, the decor isnt a make or break it factor for me, unless a place is completely run down, in which case I wouldn't feel safe eating there in the first place. I get it though, we gotta do what we gotta do. Visual appeal helps attach customers, but it wont help your food taste better. The menu had a good array of options and I was looking up items and searching for pictures on Yelp as I read through. First and foremost, the place is called Dumpling King soooooo dumplings was a must. I got Shanghai soup dumplings and my friend got fried shrimp, pork and chive dumplings. In addition to this, we each got a braised pork rice bowl (because pork belly) and I also got a medium spiced beef hot spicy dip. So how was the food? Let's start with the unexpected star: fried shrimp, pork, and chive dumplings. These were larger than I expected and came out freshly fried and crispy. They were fantastic, and any future visits will include fried dumplings. Next was the braised pork rice bowl. It was tasty, but fell a little short in value as it had more rice than anything. For the comparison of what we got in the other dishes, it could have been better. It also included a weird egg thing, which was different but good. The last item was the beef hot spicy bowl. I read the reviews saying it was hotter than expected, and it definitely was. I've eaten a lot of spicy food and medium was borderline too spicy for me. The soup was good otherwise and included a fair helping of noodles, vegetables, and beef. The last thing to talk about is the service. The lady that attended to our table was ok, she did not have an attitude or anything like that. I felt like our table could have used more attention for refills and service - there were only 3 occupied tables, so it wasn't slammed. When we asked for the check, we also asked to have it split. The bill came back in full Chinese with the total. It wasnt split and I couldn't even make heads or tails of what was written down. I just estimated it and gave my friend cash, as it wasn't something I cared to fight over. read more

Great Shanghai style dumplings. Good prices and portions. Although everything I've tried here is pretty good, I keep coming back for the soup dumplings. They are definitely a must have for this place. It's become more popular over the years so late nights and weekends there may be a wait as it is a small restaurant. They also have a good selection of bubble tea, I sometimes stop by just for that. read more

There you go, an attempt at a Harry Potter/Dumpling crossover. But really though, the dumplings here are star. I'm sure after reading all the reviews about the Shanghai Style Dumplings, you've realized that maybe you should order that. I definitely will have to agree. They also offer other steamed dumplings of various fillings, pick the one you like best, and I will do you one better by offering a tip, get them pan fried. The pan fried versions of the dumpling knocks out the steamed versions any time of day every day. They also have some noodles, we tried the braised pork noodles, the noodles were ok (read: nothing special), but broth and meat were really good. But once again, see above: Dumpling is KING! Also, their bubble tea is pretty good, with their tapioca balls done right. Very nice addition to the meal! read more
I found this place on yelp on my way home from work. I ordered these soup dumplings thinking it was something special. The only one that had the most flavor was the chives, pork, and shrimp fried dumplings. I spoke to a couple people outside while they were waiting for their food and they really like the boba teas. I would have to go back and try that. The soup dumplings aren't my favorite. They were lacking flavor. I was a little vexed seeing everyone in the kitchen not wearing masks. Anyway, I'll try something else on their menu one day. read more
Fantastic! We were in area and decided to stop for dinner. So happy we did! We ordered the beef noodle soup, the honey garlic chicken and the chives, pork and shrimp boiled dumpling. The soup was incredible. Big chunks of meat, decent amount of bok Choy and lots of noodles. All in a very flavorful broth that I ate by the spoonful. The dumplings were perfect. Perfect pillowy outside and stuffed full. We preferred without the dipping my sauce. The honey chicken was really good too. Crispy outside, perfect white inside, great honey coating. But to be honest, I don't think I'd order again. Now that I know how great the soups and dumplings are the honey chicken just seems to standard of a dish. It was a great experience with my friends I don't think the food was that great. However the drinks / slushees are the best thing here. They do not serve alcohol beverages either. I would work on the interior decor or in this restaurant to make it look better inside. read more

This place was on my must eat places for about 2 years, every time I passed by I couldn't wait to go there. Finally my friend and i had time to have lunch there. As we got there it was pretty empty but it got full towards the end. We ordered onion pancakes if I am not mistaken, and it was somewhat greasy but taste pretty good, the sauce it comes with helped. We also got some steamed vegetables with rice, I loved it. They were very fresh and still crunchy. And the reason I wanted to visit this place were dumplings, so we got them and crazy enough I wasn't a fan, neither my friend. We also got bubble tea, which tasted different from the teas I tried before. This one made with real tea, a little concentrated to my taste. Overall, girls are very nice and brought out everything super quick. I think I will go try it again and see if I can change my mind about dumplings which is look so yummy on the picture. Great little northern style Chinese cuisine eatery located in north Miami beach. I really enjoyed their food and would like to return! It is a small hole in the wall type of place so don't go on your first date for sure. For starter we got "xiao lung bao" which is aka shanghai style soup dumpling and chive dumplings (steamed). Both were excellent and reminded me of china (which is a good sign) For entree we got soy bean paste noodle bowl and beef noodle soup. They were both delicious and taste very much like northern Chinese food! Bubble teas were served as well. I got the taro flavor. I have to say... It was surprisingly good. I actually tasted tea in bubble tea (whaaatttt?) Normally when I order from other places they always taste like that fake powder stuff, but not this place! What a pleasant surprise! Highly recommended!!! Overall I will definitely return to this place. If you are not adventurous, they also serve a regular American Chinese menu. read more

To my family, making dumplings is a casual occasion. So despite living in Miami for a couple years now, I hadn't bothered seeking dumplings at restaurants here. But yesterday, I was meeting up with a few friends in the area so I finally decided to give Dumpling King a try- I was impressed! Of note, the dumplings here are huge so I'd start with ordering 1/2 the amount of dumplings you usually would (especially if you're planning on getting boba after). We tried the vegetable dumplings (fried and boiled); chives, pork, & shrimp dumplings (fried); and Shanghai style soup dumplings. My favorite was the fried chives, pork, & shrimp dumplings. I appreciated the generous proportion of chives and each dumpling was fried to the ideal lacy crispiness. Aside from dumplings, we also tried the green onion cake and I got their black tea boba tea (50% sugar). Their boba tea is unique in that they blend powder and ice to make a slushy-type drink. I don't know if I'd even consider it milk tea at that point, but it was a tasty variation. Would definitely come back! read more

I love the setup they have due to Covid. But let's talk about this food. I ordered the braised pork rice bowl and i just wish i knew how great this was or i would've ordered 2 of them. I have my brother some and let's just say i didn't get to eat as much of it as i wanted to lol. I also got the soup dumplings. Sooooo good and very filling! The dumplings were so soft and tender and luscious. I also got the papaya boba tea. I had to save it for later because I'm too full to drink it. I will definitely be back. I want to taste the whole menu! read more

I have been going to this place for years, and it disappoints me to say that they've really gone downhill. I visited recently and their once delicious honey wings were hard and obviously over cooked and had torn from frying in high heat. Yet I was still afraid of them being undercooked as they arrived literally 5 minutes after I had sat down. Once my favorite dish, I would not eat again DIRTY - before I sat down I noticed lots of crumbs and food droppings on the booth chair. I asked him if he had something I could clean it with and he literally just swept all the crumbs with his hands and threw them to the floor. Service is usually phenomenal but this server was very dismissive and left us without water or any drink well after our food had arrived One of the last times I ordered a hot dip, I found A BUG in between the bok choy so check your food thoroughly! read more
I used to like this dumpling place three years ago, maybe my taste buds changed or maybe the quality of their dumplings changed. Not sure what happened but their dumplings were looking like ugly cartoon monsters and tasted so blah. Not coming back for sure. The service was good, they were busy but the waiter was nice. I was hesitant at first. My daughter and myself love to try new places but the general area does matter. I won't lie it's a little sketchy outside but walk inside to this amazing place. I don't eat meat so my options are limited. I have traveled to Asia and know the food pretty well. All I have to say is authentic smells and adapted taste. We are definite fans. Price is amazing. Serving size amazing and I even had leftovers that I gave to a vegan friend and they were like holly YUM!!! Totally suggest to try! I just wish they had more options in the steam bumping department. Oh my goodness. This place is AMAZING!!!!! Seriously, top notch food in an unassuming location. The restaurant itself is in a strip mall that you wouldn't really notice by just driving by. Please, do yourself a huge favor and order the braised pork on rice. The most delicious, steaming bowl of goodness will arrive at your table and you'll be so thankful you did. The gelatinous pork belly is soooo incredibly tender, the soy sauce egg adds a nice touch of extra protein, the bok choy is tender but still has a little crunch, and the sauce that's poured over the bowl seeps into the rice creating the most perfect bite you can imagine. I would return again and again just for this bowl of food. Then, you have the incredibly soup dumplings. We ordered the crab and pork soup dumplings, and our dining partners ordered the Shanghai soup dumplings. There was such a nice amount of soup in these dumplings, and the flavors were on point. Between the soup dumplings and the bowl of braised pork over rice, we enjoyed a very filling meal at a wonderful price. For dessert, we ordered two bubble teas. I had the traditional Thai milk tea, and my husband ordered the lychee green tea. They were both AMAZING. Please, make sure you stop by if you're in the area and love this style of food! You (and your wallet) won't regret it. read more

I was born and raised in Shanghai and I can vouch that Dumpling King has the most authentic XiaoLongBao (Soupy pork dumpling) in Miami. Things I order every time: 1. Soupy pork dumplings 2. Green scallion pancake 3. Pork fried dumplings 4. Spicy intestines soup dip (I know, don't judge) And I usually finish the soup, the soupy dumplings and take the rest of the pancake and fried dumplings home. So yes, I love this place. Side note: the last one I went, the wrapper of the soupy pork dumpling was a little thicker than usual... but the flavor is still top notch read more

They do not! But there are many other options of food like fried rice, soups, and teas!
Are they open during COVID? I have been calling for weeks?
I'm not sure , I went on the website and it seems like they are, but if your calling and no ones answering you would probably have to drive by and check.
