Woohoo! Dump n Roll stopped by my apartment complex so I got to try them for the first time. The line was POPPIN and the workers were so nice! I ordered a combo with the holy phuc wontons, ooey gooey mac roll, and smoked truffle fries (unfortunately they had run out of aoili sauce). They were real yummy and I hope to come by again and try more stuff :) fun tasting combos available!

I've had Dump N Roll a few times now and every time it's delicious! All of their menu items are great but my faves are the veggie dumplings, Mac and Cheese egg roll, cheeseburger wontons, and pad Thai spring rolls. The soy sauce they serve with the dumplings is so addicting! The owner and staff are always pleasant. I've had them at a few events and during KOP food truck Tuesdays. Fast and friendly service. Definitely check them out if you see them!

Dump-N-Roll is a very cool food truck which has an awesome menu. I always love trying out interesting and notable food trucks and this one definitely suffices. They came to my school as part of a free food promotion for the school. They provided multiple options on a nice platter which included samples of their fries, pork dumplings, crab rangoon, spring roll, and burger dumplings. All their dumplings are pan fried or fried with a nice crust. Overall, I found the food pretty good and fast. The burger dumplings were definitely the best part as well as the truffle fries which came with a nice aioli sauce. Additionally the crab rangoon I found good. This type of crab rangoon definitely has a different taste compared to the traditional. Still, each item I tried was good and definitely worth a try.

Hi! We're Kevin and Ona. Peter and co. catered our wedding at our home in Kimberton. Not only was the service professional, communicative, and friendly, but the food was special and absolutely delicious. Their menu has a little of everything and it's all easy to eat. Also, their pricing was very competitive in comparison to many others which was another added bonus. We couldn't be happier and the fact that the boxed up all the leftovers was awesome! 10/10, would recommend.

Single sampler ($13.95, curbside kitchen app)
    Jennifer L.

I ordered a single sampler (dumplings, roll, side) through the curbside kitchen app for $13.95, a day in advance. Unfortunately at the pick up time, they were out of the crispy edamame side so I got truffle fries instead. The dumplings were hot and greasy. Most of the fillings were juicy. There were two drier fillings but those had decent flavor. There were a couple dumplings with spots of hard dough which was slightly unpleasant. The green dumplings were tasty but there was too much dough compared to the filling. The Mac and cheese egg roll sounds like a fun concept. However, the pasta was close to mushy and the filling was much drier than I expected. There was a good cheese flavor, but I really missed the saucy-ness of Mac and cheese. It was okay to try once but I would not order again. The truffle fries were the best part of the sampler. Crispy, salty, and a bit of crunch from the scallion. It is a filling portion size for approx $14. If you're actually craving dumplings - you can find better tasting dumplings elsewhere for that price or less. But if you're hungry and looking for a greasy food truck vibe - this is a fair pick for a meal.

    Peter and Dump-n-Roll Truck

Let me start by saying that if you know Dump-n-Roll you know ! They have not won awards and have been publicly recognized as one of the best food trucks in Philly for nothing. I had the pleasure of working with Peter for an private event I hosted. I can't say enough about the level of customer service and prompt communication he had regarding the details of my selections. He was flexible in meeting the dietary needs of my guests. He arrived promptly and quickly began to prep. Peter is an kind spirit, who truly puts love into his culinary creations. Now let's get to the deets on the food! We had the following: Chicken wings - 10/10 they went viral with the guests Veggies in Heaven- 10/10 I was in heaven with the veggies! Crabbygoons- 9/10 great taste just maybe put in a little more of the crab meat. Still a crowd fav. Veggie bomb Spring Roll- the BOMB ... period! 10/10 Pad Thai Spring Roll- 10/10 SO Good Chickpalooza Dumpling- solid and delicious 9/10 Chicken Chz stk Egg Roll -10/10 Fresh Cucu Salad-10/10 it was 95degrees this hit the spot! Smoked Truffle Fries- 9/10 for non truffle lovers, 20/10 for truffle lovers ! Dan Dan Cold Noodle Salad-10/10 absolutely delicious!! **Holy Phuc wonton - WTP ( What the Phuc!!!) 10/10 Burgers- crowd pleaser! Juicy, flavorful 10/10!!!! I highly recommend Dump-n-roll for your next event!

I like this concept but think there's still some work to do. Want to give them the benefit of the doubt though because I experienced them at the StrEAT Food Fest so not the usual day-to-day. The biggest issue with service on that day is that so many people were getting the big combos and that basically shut down the truck for all other orders until those were out. Order taking dude kept apologizing for the wait and it wasn't too big of a deal, just not well thought out to offer something that would cripple the truck at a festival. We ended up getting the truffle fries and 2 rolls - 1 cheesesteak and 1 crab mac n cheese. Fries came out first and were a little underwhelming. The sauces and seasonings were good, there just wasn't enough of them at all. You can see from my pic that there's barely any sauce drizzle so it was mostly fries. Def could've been better. The roll fillings were also very underseasoned. The crab mac n cheese was super bland and I tasted 0 crab whatsoever. That filling was desperately screaming for at least some salt, it just really didn't have much of a flavor besides cheese blah to speak of. The cheesesteak was better than the mac but it was still lacking in the seasoning department. The outside of the rolls were great - nice and crispy. I chatted with the order guy while we were waiting and was asking about the truck and whatnot, so I know they are still relatively new to the ballgame here. The food was ok but def not sweep me off my feet or anything. Would def give them another try under a non-festival setting for sure!

Tiny dumpling with a dry no flavor mac n cheese roll and tiny "truffle" fries cost $19(with tips)
    Tiany T.

Over rated!!! What a sham they call them-self the best dumping and egg rolls!! I think how they got so many good review was to hand out a little yellow voucher for a "come back free meal" if you give them a review!! I am just not that kind of people looking for bad free meals. Truffle fries are good and always good(else where)! Fried dumplings are unique with unusual filling but not like heavenly good, and be honest the fillings were dry and tasteless and the skin was so thick! A good dumpling should have very thin skin just like those Michelin star restaurants. The mac n cheese spring roll was the worst, dry and no flavor and heavy, had a bite and wasted the rest. I ordered the sampler platter which comes with 5 dry dumpling+the mac n cheese roll+truffle fries, paid with card and cost me $19. For that price i am looking for something heavenly delicious!! But i am sorry you guys are good at marketing but not cook! Any asian restaurants server better fried dumpling for cheaper price.

Kat here! I tried DumpNRoll for the first time today since it was parked near the dispensery (what a perfect location ) and the food was awesome!! And so was the service! He was so lighthearted, personable and friendly! I got the "deluxe sampler" for my brother and I and man we were NOT disappointed. I love that we got to try literally everything on the menu - the dumplings: chicken and veggie, pork and chive, and veggie in heaven were all scrumptious and the turkey cheeseburger wontons were so crispy and delicious! The truffle fries though.... CRACK. SO so so good. Crispy and decadent. And the veggie spring rolls were so crispy and refreshing. I loved all the paired sauces too. Overall my experience was top tier and I'm so glad I got to try ot out. Oh wait - but the Mac and cheese egg roll was a game changer!! Ugh might have been my favorite! I hope it's in my area more often and if you see it in yours - try them out!! I would 100% recommend!!

This is another food truck that was at my apartment in Cherry Hill, NJ. The person that ran the truck was super helpful and extremely friendly. They had 3 different types of dumplings, then a speciality dumpling and truffle fries that they're known for. I wasn't in the mood for fries so I ended up just doing the pork and chicken dumplings. I have to say, they were phenomenal. From the look, they look like perogies, but don't be fooled they taste just like dumplings. The Chicken came with a special type of sauce and then the pork ones you used soy sauce. The were fried perfectly and had great flavor. Also, great size so 10 total dumplings was enough food to fill me for dinner. I thought they both were really good. I hope they come back here soon so I can try the truffle fries next.

    Dump-N-Roll Food Truck
    Jim D.

Dump-N-Roll is a food truck that gets its name from what it serves: dumplings and spring rolls. It's a roaming food truck that doesn't have a specific location, but participates in a lot of weekly food truck events in and outside the city. This month, you can find them in LOVE Park every Wednesday during the Lunch in LOVE program. Now I'm no expert on dumplings or spring rolls, but I've never had a bad experience with either. They have a lot of different options on their menu to choose from, all of which include a description to let you know what you're getting. I wasn't sure what to get at first but when I saw their Sample Platter, which includes serving options for one or two people, I figured this would be a good place to start. At $14.00, it might seem a little pricey to some, but the amount of food you're served more than makes up for it. I placed my order and was served after about five minutes or so. When sat down to eat and opened the box, I couldn't believe how much food there was! I mean I knew it was a sampler, but I never expected this much! I got six dumplings in total: three of the Infamous "Piggy" and three of the Veggies in Heaven. The Infamous "Piggy" contains pork and chives (hence the name), and the Veggies in Heaven is a combination of seasonal veggies, glass noodles, and exotic mushrooms. In addition to the dumplings, I got the original spring roll and a side of truffle fries. The dumplings were perfect. Soft enough that they melt in your mouth, but just crispy enough on the outside. The truffle fries were some of the best I've ever had, and appear to be a favorite among guests. You're also given access to as much soy sauce as you want, which is a great addition to the dumplings and spring rolls. Dump-N-Roll has a few other dumplings and spring rolls on their menu in addition to the ones I got with my order. There's the Chick-A-Palooza, which consists of chicken, veggies, and spices, and a specialty dumpling called the Holy Phuc Wonton. The description for the Holy Phuc Wonton reads "award-winning tempura turkey bacon cheese burger wonton". I haven't tried it yet, but that sounds awesome right off the bat. They also have a spring roll called the Ooey-Gooey Mac, which is a spring roll stuffed with mac and cheese. Like I said earlier, Dump-N-Roll can be found in LOVE Park every Wednesday of this month from 11:00am to 3:00pm. Next Month, they'll be spending their Wednesdays at the Porch at 30th Street Station. They participate in a lot of other food truck events in the area and even offer catering services for private events. The best way to keep track of their whereabouts is through their website, which has a listing of all the events they'll be participating in over the next few months. If you're a fan of dumplings, spring rolls, or both, Dump-N-Roll is a food truck that you definitely need to check out. If it's your first time, I highly recommend the sampler to get a full taste of what they're all about and to try their one-of-a-kind truffle fries.

So glad we were able to catch them at the Neshaminy Food Truck Frenzy! Peter's personality alone is definitely worth another visit. He is so great with his customers and if you show them some love on Yelp, Facebook, or other social media he may hook you up on your next visit. I ordered the deluxe sampler which included everything on the menu good enough for 2 people. I love, love, love the truffle fries with the garlic aioli! All of the sauces are flavorful and complimens each item. The holy phuc wonton was bomb with the honey bourbon bbq sauce. Always a great experience! Best food truck there hands down with their food menu AND customer service! Get to this truck early you wouldn't want to have them run out of any items. I rated before but loved it so much I decided to do an update of this experience.

    Far-West wontons
    Sar A.

Summer is coming to an end (big huge sigh!) and outdoor events, night markets and festivals are winding down. But you don't need to have any concerns, DUMP-N-ROLL will still be around to serve you the best dumpling, the best spring rolls, simply the best n dimsum. Just follow Dump-N-Roll schedule, and look for the graffiti designed truck (a philly guy, with his mouth wide open, who's about to attack a happy dumpling and a spring roll). Brilliant and eye-catching design. So far, my favorites: - Far-West wontons: Crazy delicious more than you can imagine. Tempura filled with chipotle turkey bacon cheeseburger, and honey bourbon barbecue sauce. These wontons are just perfect. - Philly cheesesteak rolls: Who doesn't love cheesesteak and spring rolls both in one? - And I'll keep trying more of Dump-N-Roll delicacies and treats every time I catch a glimpse of the truck. Special Note: If you see Peter Tong, the chef, give him a high five. His #1 priority is my and your satisfaction, no ifs, no ands, no buts. Peter is a great person, great chef and so full of energy and life. Four and Half Yelps.

This place is a straight-up dim sum and dumpling situation, and it delivers hard. We ordered way too much food, which I maintain was the correct decision. The spread: house special roast pork bun (pillowy, porky, perfect), pan-fried dumplings (crispy bottoms, juicy inside -- the way it should be), soup dumplings (golden, delicate, dangerous if you're impatient), scallion pancakes (flaky, savory, we did not share these equally), spring rolls (classic, crispy, no notes), and honestly some other stuff I've already forgotten because by that point we were deep in a dim sum fugue state. We finished almost all of it. Almost. We tried. And the price? An absolute steal. The kind of meal where you check the bill twice because you're sure something's missing. I haven't had proper dim sum since I was about 10 years old at the Imperial Inn (RIP) so I was really excited, and Ocean Harbor did not disappoint. We came at about 11 AM on a Sunday and were seated immediately even with a large party. The food started immediately, and it would probably be easier to say what we didn't eat than what we did! Some highlights for me (and I apologize for not knowing the proper Chinese names): -A steamed pork and shrimp dumpling sealed horizontally on the top. Definitely different than siu mai, and soooo deliciously tender and juicy. Really good portion size too. -Chow fun. It had that amazing wok-fried taste, and was perfectly chewy. -Egg tarts, just barely set, collapsing into your mouth when you bite them. -Others have mentioned it, but the fried shrimp green rice roll. I'm really not a huge fan of shellfish, but this was so flavorful. -I'm always going to love the chance to have some sesame balls, and these were no exception. Audibly crispy on the outside with red bean paste and wonderfully soft glutinous rice flour on the inside. -Honorable mention to the coconut jelly, which I was too full to eat but my friends crowned with the ultimate compliment of "not too sweet." Ultimately, Ocean Harbor blew past my expectations especially after reading these reviews. You aren't going for the service; there aren't waiters here. Nevertheless, I definitely wouldn't describe anyone as rude, and the pricing was very reasonable, coming out to about $20 per person for a table of seven (not including tip). I can't wait to go back.

Food is ok, has certainly decreased in quality after COVID and is more expensive. There are other dim sum places within a few blocks that are much better quality. As others have said, the situation with their staff demanding 15-20% tip has made it so I will not come here again. A tip is not legally required. It is only legally required to cover the cost of your food as stated on the bill. I think the BBB needs to be contacted to investigate their practices surrounding tips and almost harassing customers into paying more than they wish. In addition, they have loud trucks every day disrupting the quiet street behind. Many elderly live there and are woken up by the loud beeping from the truck alarms, as well as trash truck coming VERY early and waking up residents. No consideration for those who live right there. I will be contacting the city about this issue as there was a similar problem in Fishtown and now that restaurant is no longer allowed to have trucks outside of reasonable hours disturbing residents. The trucks are also TOO large to safely turn into their loading station and people park their SUVs making the space even smaller. They constantly case a problem with traffic blockages because of the trucks unable to turn into the loading dock.

This place immediately came to mind after I read the reviews, and I ordered takeout tonight. I am very pleased to say that this was an amazing experience! I opted to do fairly simple dim sum, mainly because a restaurant that has "dim sum" in its name should shine in this category. I was able to place my order online, and had the scallion pancake, the pork, soup, dumplings, the chicken and shiitake dumplings, and the shrimp shu mai. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. The staff were very friendly, and made the pick up experience a positive one. So, if you're in the area and really want to have some dim sum, I would definitely recommend this place. Dim sum all day. Now it only is that a way of life, it's reality at Ocean City. From open til…read moreclose, you can get dim sum. Over time, Ocean City has gotten more dependable for dim sum. I love their chicken feet, and their Chinese broccoli always has a "snap" to it. And they've got actual dim sum carts! The dim sum servers are always trying to get me fat, and I'm here for it. This used to be my backup dim sum spot if Joy Tsin Lau was too busy, but now that Joy Tsin Lau is closed, there you go. (Yes, my review update is WAY overdue, sorry about that!) Credit accepted, in case you're low on cash.

They have dim sum with carts! Rare to see carts in this day and age, so it's worth a trip for that…read morealone if you're into it. There were some of the usual downsides to carts--some items were lukewarm (particularly non-steamed items) and the selection was occasionally limited (there were no vegetables or rice rolls [cheong fun] on the carts, so we asked for them off the menu). As other commenters have noted, it was rather salty too. That said, the flavor was excellent. Har gao were some of the best I've had in a while, bean curd was also a highlight. Spareribs, chicken feet, and fried vegetables were standard (good and unexceptional), as were the desserts. Some plates of clams unexpectedly appeared and were tasty though a bit sauce-heavy. I imagine the dim sum might be better some other places that _don't_ have carts, but hey, there's a certain fun nostalgia.

We ordered a little of everything from their pork dumplings which were really delicious especially with the vinegar sauce, we ordered spring rolled which came with a mild spicy and sweet sauce which was one of my favorites. The wonton soup was one of my favorites too with a unique flavor combination I don't know how to describe it but it was so good. We ordered mango and lyche green tea and it was so fresh with a fresh lime on top and came in a convenient to go cup. I was so looking forward to this drink and it did not disappoint. This is my favorite drink now. I don't know how I never knew about this place but we will be back all the time now.

4 stars for Nan Xiang Soup Dumplings. Fantastic Chinese food restaurant, especially if you enjoy…read moreauthentic Asian-style food experiences. The soup dumplings are excellent, and the overall quality is great. The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that it's more traditional Chinese-style food rather than late-night, hangover-style Chinese takeout, and it also isn't open 24 hours. Other than that, a very solid spot. Again, the choice for stars is up to the individual eating; I personally save my 5-stars for the top notch places that blow my mind.
