Space is obviously gorgeous. I suppose you don't really go here for the food. Ambiance is stunning and warm. The burger had the most reviews so I went with that, but the bun falls apart to the bite and the burger was undercooked. The fries were nothing to write home about. Safer bet is the pizza. Service is lovely. Save your evening with chocolate chip cookies to the rescue. read more

Pros: 1) beautiful view to the bridges; 2) very nice outdoor seats; 3) good food; 4) great drinks. Cons: 1) they lie about reserved tables, when we came in and sat at the table we wanted they said that it reserved for some kind of party!!! And we been there for whole day, no party of course didn't came in!!!!! read more

Dumbo House definitely beats Soho in terms of view, spaciousness and ambiance, though it's a bit harder to get to from Manhattan. Service was also kind of bad - at one point we all needed more silverware and that proved to be a challenge for some reason. Otherwise, food is good: margherita pizza, French fries and grilled romaine were all tasty. Lettuce wraps and poke were both a little too spicy for me. Eastern Standard cocktail is my favorite both here and at soho. Above all: incredible view. read more

Absolute joke. A bit better than Starbucks. Food is below average. What a waste of view!!! read more

I had the most wonderful experience at the rooftop all than to the exceptionally warm welcome and attentiveness of Luigi i truly felt like a VIP guest Milton was our server he was attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu he offered excellent suggestions. The eastern standard is a must try! Their friendly demeanor and efficient service added to the entire experience. Although it was sweltering outside they always greeted us with a smile! Thank you for making our evening truly memorable cheers!! read more

I just left a jewelry fundraiser where I met amazing people. The event ended and it was time to find a place with good vibes, drinks, and food. So where did we head to? You guessed right- Dumbo House! I hope you guessed right, after all that's why I'm writing this review. It felt like a Sex in the City night. All of my girls were dressed to imoress and looked sexy! We walked in and saw a line! Yea. I don't do lines and neither do the girls. So, we walked straight to the back of the line. Lol. My friend went to the front and security asked why were we in line? So, we walked to the front, checked in, and rode the elevator up. When we walked off the elevator, the room was packed and we had to search for a table. Unfortunately, your only allowed to be served or eat at certain tables, so we relocated. It was tough getting service but eventually she decided to greet us. We ordered wine, gin and tonic and a dark and stormy. My gin and tonic was good and I was told the dark and stormy was as well. For an entree, I had the dirty vegan burger. It was served with cheddar (not vegan) along with lettuce, tomato and a pickle alongside fries. The burger and fries were just ok, not great. The flavors did not match the price. However, at this establishment, your paying for the exclusivity. People were listening to music and playing card games while enjoying drinks and conversation. There wasn't much dancing but more of a bop and sway vibe. The view is absolutely beautiful of the east river. Honestly, for the price point my experience was just ok. My night was over the top, only because of laughs I shared with the other girls. read more

The views, the views, the views. If you are invited here by a member, you should go. It's very cool. Hip atmosphere, but not too hip. Lively at night but not crazy loud, which is appreciated. read more

Beautiful view of the bridge and of the river, it was so soothing to have breakfast on the water. The decor inside is beautiful, it almost feels like you're in someone's really expensive living room. It's cozy and chic all at once. The service was a little slow, but we were working at the same time so it didn't feel like we were just waiting around. The avocado toast was absolutely delicious. The presentation is also very very nice, you definitely get what you pay for. It got a little bit loud after an event got out, but calmed down pretty quickly. I would say waiters need to act a bit quicker when they see we've finished eating and we'd like to pay our bill. But otherwise it was a great time there, and I'm looking forward to trying out amenities in the summer months :) read more

Very disappointed in the service we got at Dumbo House. Having come here for dinner and drinks, we were seated and about to order when we were told that the kitchen had shut down for the hour to prepare for dinner and that there was no food left in the entire building. This put a remarkable damper on our afternoon, as we had come in to enjoy a meal and drinks, and were especially excited seeing the full spreads that were laid out as we passed through to the rooftop deck. Compounding our disappointment, as we got up to leave, we were harangued by servers barking at us to put away our phones, as all the houses had a strict no-photographs policy. Rather confusingly, no less than 3 people around me were snapping away in awe of the fantastic views afforded - perhaps it had to do with the fact that I was only there as a guest, not as a fully minted member of Brooklyn's professional creative class. read more

This house has such a phenomenal view. The food was good but they didn't have a ton of gluten free, dairy free or vegan options. What I did eat was good (flank steak, fries, broccolini) and the service was great. This was one of the busiest soho houses I've ever been to - it was packed. That's the only downside to my experience... but I also came on Good Friday at 2pm when I'm sure a lot of people were off work. read more

New locations of ever popular (SoHo) House members clubs seem to be popping up everywhere. The new venue at Dumbo, by far a favourite. Spectacular views of the Brooklyn Bridge make for amazing backdrop for either lunch or dinner. The upper deck contains a pool for those balmy NYC days and the lower deck a sprawling bar under a wooden pergola. Inside, there are USB, computer stations a plenty. Who needs to turn up tonthe office when you can mix networking, with lunch and eloquent surrounds? For lunch, I decide to enjoy the buffet table. A wonderful selection of salads and greens, freshly sliced fished and carved to order chicken and pork for 20 something dollars. With venues in London, LA, NYC, Malibu (to name a few) it would be amazing to see SoHo house extend to Melbourne Australian :) read more

Dumbo House - Social Clubs Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Bartenders are super slow and don't appear motivated to work since 20% gratuity is automatically included in your bill. Also didn't find them to be very accommodating for a place that is membership based. Wanted to order food at the bar, was told they don't serve food at the bar so went to look for a waitress. Waitress sent me back to the bar after asking for a menu and said to order at the bar...somebody's misinformed . Not the best impression for potential members. Old fashion was meh, the D'Usse side car was chef's kiss tho. The view and vibe was amazing. Attended for a holiday party. Two stars because good service is truly the bare minimum and didn't receive that. read more

This "members only club" is now literally just a club, so be prepared to be treated like a run of the mill, off the street, nobody special, patron. The plethora of rules get applied in force or not at all, depending on the day, and really do nothing to create a more exclusive or hospitable experience. Rude and expressionless bartenders, servers that wield the authoritative powers with disregard and overcrowding which leads to slow service and lack of overall comfort. RUN AWAY. NEED NOT APPLY. read more

Dumbo House - scolded for taking this - it's "no photos allowed" check other reviews @ geotagged photos to enjoy images taken on the premises. - Social Clubs Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Service sucks, staff and kitchen very slow, they don't listen when you ask for specific orders, just all around a mess besides the view.

I went to Dumbo House because a friend who is a member invited me because I was considering joining but after this experience I think I need to rethink purchasing a membership or recommending the place for other people to join. 1- Rude service which we had to pay 80 bucks which is nothing but I expect a good service after including that in the bill. 2 - I got food poisoning from a 45 dollar buffet. 3 - all the damn plates were chipped. I was like come on how is this place charging 16 bucks for cocktails and 45 dollar for a buffet and all their plates are either chipped or dirty. 4 - staff seemed unorganized and unprofessional. read more

Very nice place. Views are amazing and the service was great once you were there, so why only three stars??? The receptionist (AA/F) we encountered upon arrival was horrible, she ruined the experience before we ever got in. Her manner, demeanor and condescending nature was so remarkable that it colored the entire rest of the night. Luckily another employee came to rescue, but needless to say, the experience ruined the entire firstDumbo House experience. This was especially bad because we were visiting the club as guests of three different members who had us on the list and who were already upstairs. While one reception was helpful and attempting to look us up, the rude reception unnecessarily interjected herself into the discussion and proceeded to create a problem. Without going to details, we were able to work it out, but the experience soured us on considering a membership and the actions of this rude receptionist was unfortunately the talk of the evening (a shame). I will attach her photo read more

Dumbo House made me fall in love with my city all over again. Caught between two bridges filling my mouth with NY Strip I felt my heart swell in time with my belly over the beauty of the views. I would love to come back here during the day and lounge in their work/cafe space. It's worth the pretty pennies spent to lose yourself in their atmosphere for a few hours. read more

I was a member for two weeks and deemed it wasn't worth it so I withdrew. Let's start with the pros: Weekend brunch is excellent - huge choice and a good deal. The view is stunning. That's about it. The cons: Service sucks. I get much better service at about any NYC mid level restaurant that doesn't charge a membership fee. Service often leaves you waiting for long spells. Or they overlook details such as bringing you coffee long after you finished desert. The food is middling at best - 2 star food at 3 star prices. The selection is limited. With ho hum food and service what about the space? It's a glorified Starbucks. Wide open but not enough distinction or privacy between the different sections. Also, if you want to have a client meeting over dinner, you can't bring out a laptop. But the work area where you can, is not a great place to host a client. The reading room seems like an afterthought, with a fabric divider separating it from the main area. A proper wall would be better, affording it the quiet a reading room needs. The outdoor area is massive and the number one reason for membership. Unfortunately it's really only viable from mid May through mid October. You'd think by now, they'd have devised some type of seasonal glass enclosure. I didn't bother reviewing the pool deck as it's invariably at capacity on any decently warm day. Looks nice. The other issue I have with the outdoor space are the obnoxious six foot high glass walls along the perimeter. Perhaps they have these for liability but they effectively cancel much of the breeze on a hot Summer day, especially if you got a seat on the edge. Take your pick - great view but roast in a sweat box. Poor design. Then you have a lack of professional amenities. It'd be great if they had meeting or conference rooms. Catering to media folks, a screening room would be key. Also, they should make the work area a separate space. How about a game room with billiards, chess, darts, etc. and being able to have some reserve on stock? There's only so much people watching we can do. Perhaps the best part are the clientele. My wife (who's still a member) often would run into friends we'd know in entertainment (we both work in film and TV). That has however dropped off precipitously as maybe folks are just getting bored and dropping membership or find little utility. This is NYC. When you go out for dinner, you expect amazing food and good service - it is your right as a New Yorker. That mandate seems to have been lost at D House. So you're really left with the view. If I lived in a shitty walk up it maybe worth it, if I could afford it. read more

It seems silly to review but I will as this is a members club only, but the whole experience at dumbo house was fantastic, the views are awesome plus the food is very good, sat outside overlooking the east river, people who work there are very friendly and the prices are incredible for the quality, read more

Absolutely love the staff, team, food, atmosphere and vibe. I love my membership and I love how they ALL treat me!!!

I always have a good time here. The Sunday brunch is delicious, great music and the pool has an amazing view of the Brooklyn bridge even better than soho house pool. It can be very crowded during the hot summer days and is first come first seated. The cocktails are always good and the food and service had been consistently good! read more

Not the best of NYCs 3 houses. A nice enough space. Great views. Dumbo is fun to walk around afterwards.

Wow--what can you say about this place? The view...spectacular. The wait staff...so professional. The ambiance...lively. As far as the food and drinks go--they are also decent, though nothing to write home about--but you're not here for the food and the drink, you're here for the experience. And that does not disappoint. For my entree, I went with the sea scallops--which were fine, but the dish was a little bit on the smaller size. My drink wasn't super memorable--but it had some interesting ingredients. Overall, this Soho House does not disappoint and will be a mainstay for the brand--definitely worth the trip to Brooklyn to check out. read more

I LOVE this space! I can work and play and be in a great space at the same time. Long gone are the days where I get work done in a coffee shop or cafe that serve mediocre food. My favorite times to come here is for Brunch where there is an assortment of well made everything. It's pretty cool to be around like minded interested people and surrounded by KILLER VIEWS. The membership is totally worth it. read more

Service awful. Food mediocre at best. I pulled my phone out on deck to do FaceTime w my 11 year old daughter. Female manager yells In front of everyone put your phone away! !! Welcome to the 80's. Giving it at least three stars. It's truly a beautiful view but I am disappointed with the service here. The hostess are cold and rude and totally disregard you when asking for a seating. The crowd is not all that. Pushing through to get their hands on the buffet on a Sunday. Food is ok. The pool is just a hot mess any time I've gone up. Cocktails are great. It would overall be a much better experience for the staff to be friendlier and more accommodating to their members. read more

I ended my Thursday night here around 11pm and I really enjoyed this comfy cozy place by the water. The views are amazing, now I have to come back during daytime hours to see the sun shines in this place! The staff is so knowledgeable on the cocktail menus and knew every ingredient and described the flavors to a tee (thank you waitress J!). These ladies knew just what to give me when I couldn't make up my mind on my drink choice. The staff remembers your name upon arrival. I can't say much about the food, as I only had fries because I was told by a few members that the food is not all that great. The fries are decent though. Because I don't like ketchup, I ordered aioli sauce to dip my fries so I was good for this light snack to go with my cocktail. Overall, this place has a nice vibe, good crowd, and has plenty of great space to chill on a sofa, eat at a table, and a great place to wind down and have great convo with friends or strangers. I'll be back soon enough! read more

amazing great food great cocktails! the dj came around 8/9 playing nothing but dope music had a great time

Are you kidding me? Walk off the elevator and just try not to be blown away by the floor to ceiling views of the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges. Sink into a cozy sofa to pound out a few emails and try not to have the moment where you wished you lived here. Lean back by the room top pool sip on a cocktail and just try not to have your worries slip away. Sure this may be a private club, but you must know someone who knows someone! Th latest jewel in the ever expanding SoHo house crown this one is small in comparison to most, and downright tiny compared to the Meatpacking, but it is stunning nonetheless. Decor, food, outdoor space and views, views and views. Did I mention the views? Just the three houses in NYC are worth a membership! read more

CARLISI'S WINE CLUB!!!! That, and the views, are the best thing about this place. I love wine club because Carlisi is this fun ball of energy who really knows how to foster community and bring people together, PLUS she's a brilliant som who knows her wines. Other than that, yeah, the views. It's a much chiller vibe than the original SHNY, and easier to find a seat to work on weekdays. The pizzas are better than those downstairs at Cecconi's IMO, and the burger is always a great choice. It's nice they've started offering CBD oil as an additive to drinks. But basically, just go to the wine club. It's legit the best and you won't regret it. read more

Great place to chill, grab a drink or some food. I have visited the house on several occasions as a guest and we always had a good table it even spot by the pool. Service can be a bit slow at times, seems like they are a bit short of staff. Food is always fresh and the variety is great. Their brunch buffet is definitely worth every penny! Very good value indeed. Crowd is always pleasant and laid back. Shame they do not have a gym. That would have been amazing! The views compensate that for sure! Ah and if you're a guest be sure not to take any pictures as it's agains their policy. read more

I am a member of soho house and I say that the service and the way they run this place does not keep up with many others of the clubs. The location is spectacular , the view, the pool, everything, but the amount of non members taking photos with nobody telling them anything is out of control. If you try to say anything they get very aggressive and ask if you part of management. I m gonna start day that I am!!!!! The food is average to say the least . Pizza is good at every soho house, this one is just bad , burnt and uncooked . Sent it back twice and came back uncooked and burnt again. Draft beer never works. Fries were so salty that we had to clean then with a napkin. Next time I ll just go back to lay in the sun and drink water read more

Beautiful house with breathtaking views. Great music tonight (Saturday), especially some great afrobeats. Tasty drinks and food. But most importantly, something rare for all the houses I've visited - great service! Our server got a bit overwhelmed as the night went on and more people poured in. But Edwin, who was bussing our table that night, jumped in and saved the day (/night)!When he saw we hadn't been attended to in awhile, even though he wasn't working as a server, he quickly grabbed a notepad to take our orders, gave us great recommendations on the dishes we were considering, got the orders filled quickly, and even came to check on us a couple times after - more than our actual server did the whole night! Such a great team player and certainly an all-star server in the making. Thanks for making this place even more special, Edwin! read more

regret paying for a membership - they've oversold and it's difficult + uncomfortable to find seats - the menu isn't condusive to casual eating (try coolly stuffing some of those lettuce cups in your mouth) and feels overpriced (again, lettuce cups) - there are all these invisible rules (like laptops to the left when outside, no phone calls except in the foyer where there's no reception, no laptops after a certain hour except in the library) that would be fine with me if there was just some signage and i wasn't constantly being shifted around by half-rude servers - i scheduled a meeting with a client there yesterday and the entire club was closed for a members event (apparently members other than myself) - if i can't rely on this place to at least be open what's the point? read more
